Subs at Firehouse are nothing like at other sub places, at least not like most of them. The subs are delicious and flavorful, the bread is fresh, the chicken is tender and the veggies are crisp. They seem to have enough choices to please everybody and they donate to the fire department. To top it all they also have a loyalty program that rewards free subs after you have ordered a 10+. Sometimes they have Garlic bread as an option and We love it. Its one of our go to places and will remain that way.

    Hook & Ladder.

I paid $1.75 for bacon, & this is what I got. Bread was soggy even though I had just ordered it. Maybe 7 chopped pickles I added. Not asking for world's best (or I wouldn't have ordered from here) but it's not a lot to expect an edible, more-than-half-ass sandwich for $13.54.

The Italian is full of meat! Yummy!!

The salad bar is always fully stocked and clean. Since I work close by (8 minutes) I tend to eat at Jason's 2-3 times per week for the last 4 1/2 years. I've gotten to know several of the employees. They are all nice and friendly. I see Asst. Mgr. Carlton working the register, the food line, delivering food to the customers, and cleaning the tables. It's unusual to see a member of management to all of those tasks. David keeps the Drive-Thru hopping. I never see a line building up. When it's slow he will take for a front register or delivers food to the tables. Rommel and Lu are the masters of the food line. They are in a constant hustle to get the food made and out. Jarod is in continuous motion with taking orders, on the food line, or running dishes to the tables. They Yasmine keeps the salad bar super clean and stocked. She always has a friendly greeting and smile for me. The rest of the staff are friendly and always in motion. This crew seems to be a well oiled machine. The food is super fresh and served quickly. Jason's Deli is definitely on "My Keepers List".

I was fully prepared to show documentation for her, even if that's not legally required. Instead, I was met with a rude woman at the counter. When we were told that we couldn't have a pet inside, I declared that she is a registered service animal. The woman at the counter got a rude tone and said "it's a pet and you can't have that in here!" I even clarified that it is a registered service animal and she was still so rude and telling me no, that we decided to just walk out. My kids and family were hungry, and just wanted to go inside and eat lunch together, and instead ate in the car... and not Jason's Deli. I understand the difference between ESA and registered service animals. I am a disabled veteran with PTSD and my dog is a registered service animal for me. The fact that she was so rude and didn't even ask the questions shows me that this establishment needs a little more training when it comes to ADA laws and service animal handling.

You seat yourself, so we grabbed a booth so that I could keep her contained. The booths/walls/etc does not seem like they are cleaned very often. We were greeted pretty quickly and began looking over the menu. The server was a kind young kid and got my tea out to me. I placed our order and we waited. Another kind server brought my daughter a cup of water with ice and a lid without even asking which I was so thankful for as I forgot to ask for one. Food came out and the chicken wasn't great, but I paid extra for it and ate it. The fettuccine Alfredo itself was really good. I ordered a pizza to go too while we ate. Cashed out quickly and was on our way, pizza at home was good! I would probably place an order to pick up and not eat inside due to cleanliness concerns, but otherwise enjoyed what we had ordered.

My 16yr old cooks better than this establishment. We spent $65 for two meals and I can't get it out of my head. I ordered the Verona chicken, recommendation of the waitress. No taste. Husband ordered a meat lovers pizza with added veggies. Each added veggie was $1.50 not $1 but $1.50. So that was an extra $12 added to the pizza. I could have ordered a second pizza with that much. Also ordered kids spaghetti and meatballs. Absolutely tasteless. All I ask is to PUT SOME LOVE IN THE COOKING! So freaking pissed that I spent that money there!

Parking can be tight near the door during lunch rush since it shares the lot with Starbucks, but I have never had trouble finding a spot within reasonable walking distance. It is a minor inconvenience at worst. The dining area is small and gets busy at lunch, but that is to be expected for a popular sandwich spot in this area. I had always wondered what the TXB stores were all about. Earlier this week nature made a 911 call…read morethat needed immediate response so I got to find out on an unplanned basis. Like most new mega C-stores, they are shiny modern facilities with more than just gas, chips, and beer. They're actually little food courts and restaurant oases that can make you a decent meal if you want it. Gone are the days when you're only option were hot dogs off of the steel rollers - - although plenty of those places still exist. For the necessary, I found their restrooms to be spotlessly clean and will maintained in terms of supplies. Nothing like a surprise when you're dealing with a surprise and in that regard TXB delivered. As an unexpected bonus there are self-check registers. I found that to be quite cool and bit of a time saver. I'm from that generation that was taught if you use the store's restroom, you should buy something--no matter how small--to thank them for being there for your biological needs. But, far too many times, in the quest for doing the right thing I found myself further delayed or inconvenienced. In addition to being in a hurry to get here, I was also in a hurry to get back home so time saving was very much appreciated. I think their prices on snacks were a little high and that was the only downer of the experience. Maybe I'm just not familiar with buying nuts at convenience store prices these days but $6.95 for a smallish bag of David's sunflower seeds seemed bit off the charts. I'm sure I'll be back for more or less than I came for this time and now it's not such a mystery to me. Recommended. P.S. In case you don't know what the TXB is all about it just stands for "Texas Born" which is both the store credo and mantra.
