Sad to say that we have not had a dining experience that bad ever. We left hungry, which is saying a lot. Not sure how they stay in business. The chips and salsa were fine, the service was adequate, the ambiance is that of an old VFW, but the lunch dishes were disgusting frankly. I hate to leave a bad review about a locally owned place but I would hate to have others go spend money (and the prices aren't cheap) at this restaurant.

This is my second trip and the staff is so kind and welcoming. The restaurant is spotless. And the food isn't just delicious (there's nothing on the menu that isn't mouth watering) but the portions are big and presentation is great. Yes it's a BBQ place...but...the French Dip sandwich - grilled tri tip sliced thin with Swiss cheese and mayonnaise on a fresh baguette and served with au jus for dipping might just be one of the top 5 sandwiches I've ever eaten. No, really. My mouth is watering just typing this!

One of them went out of their way to help locate a screw for my partner's glasses and went above and beyond to assist. This was my first visit and opted for a 1 meat plate w/ 2 sides. The half chicken was pretty good; however, the white meat portion was a bit dry. I enjoyed the potato salad (sour cream based), but didn't favor the coleslaw. The second plate we ordered had brisket, mac and cheese and a cornbread pudding dish. Both sides and the brisket were great. Food options are limited in the area and I think The Switch is one of the better options!

From the moment I walked up, the service was five stars all the way. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind--there's clearly a lot of pride and heart behind this business, and it shows. I ordered the Classic Burger, and honestly? It was one of the best I've had in a long time. Perfectly juicy patty, grilled onions, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, melted cheese--all nestled in a soft, pillowy bun. Every bite was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. This is comfort food done right. The fries were also excellent--crisp, golden, and super fresh. Not greasy, just good. They've put real thought into the seating area, too. There are plenty of tables, and it feels cozy without being cramped. On a breezy day, it's especially nice--peaceful, with a lovely view that adds a little something extra to the whole experience. This is exactly the kind of locally-owned gem I love supporting. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be recommending Lana's to friends, family, and fellow food lovers any chance I get. Highly recommend. Go hungry--you'll leave happy.

It is a very small menu so they do recommend the street tacos they're $2.95 and so I order the barbecue a sirloin so I ordered 2 tacos and then I also ordered the chips with guacamole that's another thing I ordered to add to the to tacos. Tables were clean there's a nice colorful walls and they do have outdoor seating. So what I would say is the street tacos were delicious very good a little too spicy for me even though they said it was not spicy but it really is if you're not used to jalapeno which I definitely avoid. Chips are bland no salt but the Guacamole was very authentic. . I was very happy to have found this place actually for meal that's less than $14 or $15 I truly enjoyed the food was authentic from Mexico. I recommend the Barbaqoa street taco , loved it.plenty of parking. Happy yelping!

Move over Fresa's!! There's a new chick in town!…read more Not only are the ingredients fresh, you can taste the quality! We were shopping in Bee Cave and got hungry, so I went to Yelp to discover this cute little place. I did learn that they are mainly a "take away" model hence the play on words "picnic" on their name. But there are a few tables and bar counter that you can dine in. We ordered a bit of food- 1. Half roasted chicken 2. Hot wings 3. Roasted Beets 4. Kale side salad 5. Fun selection of NE brand beers! Yes they have wine and unique beer selection there! The roasted chicken was definitely brined- it was super juicy and the chimichurri and salsa complimented it wonderfully. It was explained to me the chicken were free range and how they are raised humanely, reminded me of an episode in a tv series- Portlandia that made me chuckle. The hot wings... Buffalo style but not like at Anchor Bar.. still amazing in its own right. Fresh (I mean there were zero dry spots on carrots and celery and it was crunchy fresh that even me, the non-celery lover- ate 4 sticks with their tasty homemade ranch sauce. (I think it was the ranch dressing bc I literally licked the bowl clean) The roasted beets were served cold with feta cheese crumbles, mint and pistachios. I could eat that by itself as a meal! Yummy! Now, I usually hate kale. Only like it roasted. But I can eat Chicknic's Kale side salad all day long. It contains roasted cauliflower, pickled red onion and a mountain of pumpkin and sunflower seeds! (Maybe that's why I like it so much??) All washed down with a brown ale beer you find in the NE. While we were dining, several people came by to pick up their to go orders and there is a fun freezer where they sell delicious take aways like chicken soup and their famous chicken pot pie, chicken crepes, chicken enchiladas... oh did I mention this is a great place if you're on a keto diet or gluten free restriction?!?? I also found if you follow their Facebook page, you can see new menu items or transparency of how they run their business. What you waiting for? Give this place a try and support local!

On top of that, you can enjoy vodka distilled on the property by @planetrockvodka From top to bottom, everything was remarkable, and for good reason. Scott, the property/business owner and Pit-master, could not have been cooler and is absolutely hands-on with his product. His attention and love for what he does most certainly came out in the food! It doesn't hurt that the truck staff could not have been any sweeter. Our group enjoyed a little of everything. Sliced Brisket Sandwiches, Rib Combos, Texas Twinkies, Brisket Quesadillas, Loaded Texas Potatoes, and on and on. The food was truly awesome. But what everyone seem to enjoy the most was just a setting. They was a Calf for the kids to pet, chickens to chance, dogs to play with. Along with swings, a playground, darts, outdoor TVs, and on and on. Just such an awesome place to be. This was a very special visit for our group and I personally was not ready to be so blown away. We could not have picked a better hotel or a more delicious place for lunch. Feeling very grateful and full today. Life is good (Pssst, Scott, I'll see you real soon!)
