I eat Jersey Mikes a few times a week. Tonight i went to pick up Chik Fil A for my family but i wanted a sub sandwich. It was near closing time but my GPS told me i could make it. I arrived at 8:54. The open sign was turned off and the employees were hurriedly closing up. I walked in and they said they were closed. I didn't know how to respond. It was clearly not nine yet but i don't like hostility between myself and the person making my food. I just turned around and left. I went next door to the liquor store which was STILL OPEN. Because it was BEFORE NINE. I had time to buy some whiskey, get in my car and type this review, and it was STILL BEFORE NINE. It would have taken four minutes just to make my sandwich. Guess the guy had better things to do tonight than the job he was getting paid to do. Maybe he doesn't need this job anymore. Look. I work retail. I hate when people come in just before closing. But it happens all the time, because some of us work late or have a family to tend to. And when it does happen, i accept it and politely serve the damn customer. I don't act like a lazy jerk and tell them to go away. That is just UNACCEPTABLE. I drove 15 minutes out of the way for this. I wasted time and gas to try to give this store my money. Whoever owns this franchise location should get rid of the employee who turned me away. Review the security footage and it will corroborate this story. I just tried Jersey Mike's for the first time last week and I am hooked. I have only had the Original Italian and the Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak so far and both were very tasty. I've ordered in person at the store and using the app. The staff are very friendly and I've never had to wait any longer than it takes to make a sub. The low carb sub in a bowl option is also great. My son and I went to Jersey Mikes in Round Rock (620 Location) on Nov. 16, 2024. We ordered 2 Giant Pastrami Sandwiches wit the Provolone Cheese. When we got back home, we were so disappointed. The Pastrami was so tough and chewy with too much fat too. No cheese was on our sandwiches. The only good part of the sandwich was the bread. Just want to warn others about ordering their hot Pastrami Sandwich which is over $18 for a giant sandwich which is very below the standards I would think they want to set. read more

I would give zero starts if I could. I placed an order through DoorDash. A very simple order. A number seven Mike's way and a bag of chips plain Lays. When I got my order I got a bag of miss Vickies sea salt chips. I hate those chips. My sandwich had no mayo no tomato no vinegar and oil and they added pickles to it. I called the store to complain and was told sorry for the inconvenience but there's new people working here. What a horrible way to respond to a customer. I told her she needed to check the food that was being prepared by the new people rather than putting the wrong food in peoples bags. She told me to take it up with DoorDash. I physically go in to the 620/Anderson mill location on occasion. I have not had an issue with any of my sandwiches. Jersey Mike's bread is the way bread SHOULD be! crunchy on the outside and soft and fresh on the inside. I was born/bred in NJ and miss that wonderful fresh crunch! It is NOT stale. Their bread is dee-lish! I always get #4 and they make it my way and love it! The prices a bit high as everything is these days. Thanks for giving me yummy sandwiches. Jersey Girl decided to try out Jersey Mike's. I make the drive out all the while trying to decide what I should get. Since it was a bit nippy out, I want something hot. The place has typical sandwich shop décor. Plastic tables, Big Board menu on the wall, racks of bagged snacks, and the L shaped work area. I walk over to stand under the ORDER HERE sign. The sandwich maker guy tells me to take my time and whenever I'm ready to order just tell him. The first thing I notice is they have a special on a # 11 so I look up at the menu. Intereasting, there is NO # 11 on the menu. So I grab a To Go menu, Nope, no #11 on that either. Later I checked their online menu, no, # 11 there either. Okay, so I go for the chicken parm. It takes a bit longer than a normal sandwich as they are cooking up the chicken as I watch. I fill up my soda cup and make sure the lid is on tight. My sandwich is ready so I grab and go. Once I get to my car, the lid pops off. Soda sloshes my car and me. Why can't they get decent lids that fit. The ride home was torture with the sandwich smells permeate the entire car. My mouth was watering. Finally home and I bite into this sandwich. Real chicken that was moist and the coating was tasty. The sauce was good and the cheese was loaded on. Not bad. KC shows up and sniffs my sandwich. So I give him a little piece of chicken. He likes it. He kept trying to snatch my sandwich and I wouldn't let him. I give him a couple more pieces. KC rates it a 5 star. I rate the sandwich a 4 star but deducted a star for the crappy lids and the mystery # 11. We picked up sandwiches on Sunday after seeing one of their commercials on TV- not one worker was wearing a mask. Very disappointing.

When the right people are working, they can make a decent steak & cheese. The thing is, they hire anyone. When I ask them them to melt the cheese on a steak & cheese 1 of 3 things will happen. 1. I get a dirty look and they tell me it is always melted. Then I have to open it when they give it to me and awkwardly ask them to melt it which earns more dirty looks. 2. This location used to be great and now every time I order I never get greeted, never have any friendly interactions, have to wait a long time when there is hardly any other customers, the soda machine is out of flavor, the sandwiches are wrong, or my mobile order is not ready in the time frame given. There were 2 team members working today, 10/6 this evening and this was the last time I will be ordering here due to this visit. Today, I placed a mobile order with names on the bags and customized each sandwich. I order here often since my kids love it, however, over the last 3 months or so, it hasn't been worth it. No names were written, no mayonnaise was give on all 3 sandwiches, and 2 of the 3 were missing bacon. The person at the register was rude to me, and then when I called back to get the name and number of a manager, I was told he was NOT allowed to give out a name or any phone numbers. I proceeded to ask for the corporate office number and he stated he didn't have any idea of that number or how to obtain it and even if he did, he wouldn't give it since he was NOT allowed to give out any phone numbers. I have had it with the poor customer service and I would like to be compensated for my sandwiches and will not be returning. I've been in customer service for 20 years and no matter what type of business you run, should have people who can at least act like they care. read more

Ambience - decent sized little sandwich shop in the large Volente Plaza. The inside is somewhat bland with very little decor or flare. Thats not such a bad thing but it was kind of lackluster to the eyes. There counter is right there where when you walk in with the beverage station to the right. The place has some decent seating with one awkward table that is next to a pole. Thats the one i sat at. Hehe. But overall its an ok looking store. Menu - As the name implies this is a sub shop. The menu isnt very large but hits the cult classics plus some original subs. There is the cold sub menu and then there is a hot sub menu. Both looked good and had some decent selections. The main way to make the sub is the "Jersey Mike Way" which is all the main veggies like lettuce tomato, onion and they their red vinaigrette and oil. They do also offer some other dressings like mayo but their focus is the jersey way. Another thing that is kind of their claim to fame is that they dont cut your meat and cheese until you order it. So as you order they cut them right then and there. Thats actually a really nice touch, especially since you can see right into the cooler. But between the hot and cold subs they are mostly the classic subs you find anywhere. And each sub come in mini, regular and giant. It isnt a large menu but there is still some good variety. Service - Came during the mid a few weeks back and there were only 2 employees. Thats pretty standard everywhere. Of the two employees the lady was very spunky, energetic and had a good personality. She actually seemed like she liked being there. It did feel a little bit like she was trying to hard to make the guests laugh but she was still really cool. The other gentleman seemed very upset that people were coming into a restaurant to order food. He was very standoffish and didnt come across as pleasant. He made my food but i could tell he was preoccupied mentally somewhere else. As time passed and i listened to them, i found out he needed to go to the bank before it closed. Im just going to say i dont know the circumstances of how the morning went or why he couldnt get to the bank earlier. But in my experience you always go to the bank before you open. But like i said i dont know how his morning went. But at the same time, dont take your bank run frustrations out on a paying customer. As soon as he left to the bank, Murphys Law happened to the female employee. Murphys Law for those who dont know, is that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Literally as soon as he left a ton of guests came pouring in and this poor lady was by herself. I could hear her making jokes and making the best of the situation. So applause to her for just rolling with the punches and having a great attitude about it. So overall the service was middle of the road. Food - I got the regular Original Italian on some special rosemary bread. They then cut the meats and the cheeses right there in front of me and assembled my sub the Mikes way. I cant remember the meats that came on it thou. Oops my bad. But either way. I get my food and have a seat. The sub is of a very decent sized and had a decent amount of meat, cheese, veggies and vinaigrette. The sub was actually assembled quite well with everything being evenly portioned. Each bite had all the ingredients which lead to a great sub. The meat was nice and flavorful which paired well with the veggies. The lettuce was a little on the soggy side but thats ok, it was the last of that pan. The vinaigrette was a nice touch as well. It wasnt overly powerful but a nice subtle and tasty addition. This sub definitely was not a bold or robust sub but more of a fresh and delicious kind instead. Its not like some places that slather the subs up in overpowering sauces that you cant taste anything else. This was just a very fresh, simple and tasty sub. It may be somewhat basic but this sub was very enjoyable. Keep it simple and it worked very well. Overall - This was definitely a good sub shop in my opinion because of how different it is compared to other places. They cut the meats and cheese when you order. The main way to get the subs is the Mikes way which lead to a nice refreshing simple yet tasty sub. The service was still good overall. Like i said, i really give props to the lady as she was by herself when the crap hit the fan. It was definitely a Colonel Custer kind of moment for her. She just looked out into the dining room and was like "Where the F*$% did all them Indians come from". But she held her composure and made the best of it with a smile on her face. Unlike Colonel Custer, because....well, you know. The whole scalping thing and being killed. But overall, i really enjoyed this product and it was definitely at a great price point. As a student of Concordia I was very familiar with Jimmy John's when we were at our old campus off of I-35. When we moved out to northwest Austin I began searching for another great sub shop. During my search I came across Jersey Mike's and I was immediately hooked. Jersey Mike's is unlike Jimmy John's in that the meat is sliced fresh right there in front of you. And boy do they have a lot of it: Ham, proscuittini, cappacuolo, salami and pepperoni. And this is just for the classic italian! The meat is fresh, the cheese is tasty, but what really makes Jersey Mike's stand out from the rest is the other stuff they put on it. Every cold sub comes Mike's Way which includes lettuce, tomato, onions which are your typical sub toppings but it also comes with olive oil, red wine vinegar, and spices. The inclusion of "The Juice" and the spices really kick the flavor up a level. My only big gripe about Jersey Mike's is the size of the subs. I'm a big guy and I like food but when a giant is double the size of a regular and the regular isn't enough you kind of wish there was an in between. I can eat a giant but I always feel bad about it afterward. I haven't tried everything at Jersey Mike's mostly because I love the Classic Italian (#13) but I was adventurous one day and got the Philly Cheese steak. It was good but the meat was super hot, to the point where I was burning my tongue. I guess that's a good problem to have rather than it being cold. Had a bit of trouble finding the place as Yelp was giving me some bad info. Kept telling me it was nearby anytime I got near Lakeline mall. Glad I finally took the time and got some help finding it. The people in the shop were incredibly friendly as well as patient while I figured out a few things about this new-to-me place. I craved subs and I'm sorry, not everywhere meats (tee hee hee!) up to my standards. There are several Jersey Mike's in Austin and I have been to two and have NOT been dissapointed. This location is close to my work so I decided to stop by the other day and give it a try. I personally prefer the Italian Style Sub... and true to form I order it with double meat. My personal taste likes it "wet". What's wet you ask???? Wet means it is SOPPING in red wine vinegar and oil. I wouldn't have it any other way. Well... you could have it Mike's Way which means you want everything on it. Friendliest staff ever. I would go in here just to talk to the staff, that's how personable they are. And their subs, omg, they are delicious. We had a Jersey Mike's where we lived in Katy and they were friendly and their food was fantastic and this location here blows them out of the water. My boyfriend likes extra extra extra extra extra extra (you get the point) mayo and they don't hold back. They understand his strange addiction and unjudgingly add 5 layers of mayo onto his number 13. I normally get their Tuna. It tastes so good! Sometimes if you go to subway and get a tuna sandwich is tastes kind of metallic or just like mayonnaise mush, but Jersey Mike's tastes fresh and isn't complete mush. It's really good Mike's way but without tomatoes. If you don't know what to do for dinner I definitely recommend this place. It's delicious. read more

I like the sandwiches that is why I go there. However, for all the times I have eaten there the dining area has never been clean. Tables are not cleaned after diners leave nor are the floors. The tables have always been sticky or greasy and covered with bread crumbs. The floors are littered with food droppings, discarded napkins, straw wrappers etc. They need to hire a clean up person to keep the dining area clean during business hours. That would make the dining experience much more enjoyable and healthy for all. Where is the health department on this?
