Since writing this initial review, Jersey Mikes has become part of the regular grab and go dinner/lunch rotation and I've come to really like it! I mean, how can you not love a place that's got the Danny DeVito seal of approval?) I've since dialed it in and my new usual is the Jersey Shore Favorite with some added banana peppers and mayo. A bag of chips on the side and it's more than enough for full meal if you're starving or two meals if you're just feeling a bit peckish. Also, their chocolate chip cookies are a nice add on for a lil' treat later in the day. The staff here is quite friendly and they're always hustling to get folks through the line as quickly as possible, though they do stay pretty regularly busy. It seems no matter what time I come by I have to go through some sort of line. I tend to place my order online for pick up so I guess my only real quibble is that they've don't have a pick up area accessible to guests. So every time I come in to pick up an order I have to wait in a line to ask for it. It ruins their flow, too. It would be awesome if they just had a table or shelf dedicated to that so we could just literally grab and go. But I suppose there's some protection to the orders if you have to ask the staff. Pros and cons, I guess! But it would be nice to have a more streamlined option. Otherwise, keep up the good work JM! read more

I ordered from this location twice - both times, got their #13 The Original Italian on Giant Rosemary Parmesan Bread. In addition to the standard toppings, added mayo, dill pickles, banana peppers, cherry pepper relish and jalapeno peppers. On the first pick-up, they made it on the white bread, second time they got the bread right. I would recommend you ask them to go light on the oil - as the 2nd order was very soggy from over oiling. The sub was great, would definitely order the original italian again... the giant is cut into 4 pcs and it's good size for two people. Plenty of parking, would recommend you order online and avoid the line, especially during lunch. Price is on par with DiBella's. Will need to try their hot subs next time. read more

Drogo approves. I was here when it first opened 6 yrs ago and my steak sub was not good. The meat tasted old. After much disappointment at Jimmy Johns on Zeeb. See my review. I decided to give Jersey Mikes another chance. Holy Moly I had the cold cut of some type of sandwich and they freshly slice the cured meats for your sandwich. Just like a deli is supposed to. This seems to make a big difference. Curiously, fresh and cured meats is an oxymoron. Since the meats are highly processed, packed, squeezed, brined and smoked. The bread was fluffy soft, the workers were many and fully capable, and the suggested toppings was the ticket to the right way to eat it. Gotta say the sandwich was great and felt quality. I got the large but it was only about 8" long. For $9 it should be a footlong. Destroys subway in every way. From their guilting-eating-low-cal-jarrod no flavor sandwiches and plastic like cheese. Really enjoyed the cheese steak sandwich here! The regular size was way more than enough and loved how the cheese was melted perfectly (you could pull the cheese with each bite). I haven't tried any of the other sandwiches but would come back to get their cheese steak again! read more

I've never been here before but it was really yummy! Since I'm not able to eat beef for 6 months, I was thrilled to discover that they have a chicken steak option! It was so yummy! I love their lettuce bowls too. It gives a healthier and better option than the bread with all my favorite sandwich adders. Their menu is a little overwhelming at first, but the worker was super nice and let me try whatever I wanted before buying. The cashier also charged us too much and we had to wait a while to get a refund but everyone was super nice. We will definitely be back. read more

I told this was my first visit and they proved to be patient and helpful. Jersey Mike's is easy to find and easy to park in the Westgate Shopping enter. They offer hot and cold subs, chips and drinks. No soup or any frills. Get it to go or dine in. They have a couple TVs to stare at while you eat. Poor customer service. Placed an online order recently at 5:30 pm. Paid ahead with generous tip and order never arrived. We cooked dinner at 9 pm. Waited for some sort of acknowledgment the next day from manager, which never came. Had to call in for refund. Had to call in second time to get the tip portion refunded. Would've expected some sort of gesture like "hey, have a sub on us, sorry for all the inconvenience" and instead got "that's not on us, that's a DoorDash thing." DoorDash is automatically linked to the Jersey Mike's app, which I used. So instead of taking responsibility and trying to keep a customer happy, they passed off the blame. I've been a loyal customer of this shop since it opened but will not be frequenting it any longer. Looking for a better option nearby? Try Star's Cafe next door. Food is much better there anyway and they are good to their customers. Also Star's is a fully local business, not a chain. Try the Star's spicy chicken pita bread sandwich - it's awesome! read more

This is a busy location, but today's sandwich maker was like a machine (almost literally, as he lacked people skills, with his only concern that of getting customers through the line), and the line moved quickly. When we arrived, there were no empty tables, but they turn over fast (probably due to the speed of the sandwich guy), so we were able to get a table for four with no problem. The tables are only as clean as the last customer left them, because the staff doesn't come from behind the counter to keep the dining area clean. The great thing about Jersey Mike's is that their subs are consistently great--made with quality ingredients without frills. Their Italian sub #13 is wonderful, as is number 4, which is basically an Italian minus two meat choices. A mini is plenty large enough for a normal appetite, and we left satisfied. Speedy. My cousin Berk and I walk into Jersey Mike's expecting a quick, covid safe, and cooperative environment. To our surprise we received quite the opposite. The establishment as a whole was fine, but one employee who's name I forgot (wearing tan ultraboosts) treated us as rats, as scum, and as objects. When ordering the #2, he questioned whether it was even on the menu. I would expect the employees to know the most popular sandwiches in the shop (keep in mind it's called the Jersey Shores favorite). When making the sandwich I saw a blonde strand of hair elegantly fall into the sandwich that I later choked on. He noticed immediately and attempted to cover it up by talking about "how covid is a hoax". Then after sloppily wrapping my mutulated sub, I then waited 5 minutes for my order to be finished. While waiting I heard him promoting jimmy johns, which is something an employee of Jersey Mike's should never do. Finally I received my sandwich and left the store. Jersey Mike's is my favorite sub place. This unit was very sub par. (No pun intended) I know Mike's! Today: record cold temps. No vestibule on front door. Dining room freezing each time the door opened. Jersey also has cold temps. No excuse for this design. Enter and headed to restroom. 3 employees. No greeting. Then I waited invisibly for a long time to order. I was the the last priority behind cleaning the grill, making a call in order and employee just walking around. One of the to go sandwiches that took priority over me was made wrong. The new sandwich was rejected half way through the re-slicing of the meat. Slicer person was annoyed. (After the customer left he complained to the two other employees) Walking around guy rings up my order never giving me a chance to enter my club number. Receipt? He asks, as he is crumpling it up. Bread was incredibly dry. I made a mess of all the bread crumbs. Not juicy enough. Tomatoes were soggy. Guy cleaning tables by wiping everything on the floor. During the long trek home from Toronto, a sub sounded perfect. My partner suggested Jersey Mike's. This was my first time at a Jersey Mike's Subs and it did not disappoint. The two people behind the counter were welcoming and efficient. The vegetarian sub tasted fresh and the service was pleasant. Love the Philly Cheese steaks from this place. I usually get the #17 as a giant sub and it is HUGE. The ingredients are always fresh and flavorful and the customer service is always top notch. My only small gripe is it's a bit on the pricier side, but if you use a coupon from the Kroger next door it makes it much more reasonable. The service was great, the people were very friendly, but oh my god the food was just trash. I've had very few meals that I had to physically spit out, but this was one of them. I ordered a grilled veggie wrap, and you could tell that nothing inside it was fresh, and the "home style ranch" was a watery mess. My grandma ordered a Rueben and said it was hands down the worst she'd ever had and was unable to finish hers also. Don't waste your money here. I'd like to give the food zero stars. read more

A Sub above!! Man oh man I love their food. I ordered a #17 the Philly it was so delicious. If you like food that is fast and Fresh this is the place to go! I like Jersey mikes because #1 when I order a sub they make it right there in front of you. Secondly, they make everything In-house. The meat and veggies taste like they are fresh. You know they haven't had it sitting out for hours and warm it up. When I got my food today they're machines were down which caused an issue instead of making it a problem they made it work without a problem. I told the cook I felt like he made my food with Love! We ordered three subs to go. Unfortunately, one of them was done Mike's way, which seemed to involve putting way too much oil and vinegar on it. The bread was falling apart soggy by the time we got it home, and extra liquid was pooling on the wrapper. With the filling, I remade a sandwich using my own bread. It was tasty, but still oily. We frequent the Jersey Mike's on Jackson Rd. in Ann Arbor. The sandwiches are always fresh, delicious, made to order, and made with a smile. The store has always been extremely clean. Today, it was great to see the owner with his sleeves rolled up, making subs for the customers. The staff has always been professional, friendly, and makes the customer feel important. My first visit was today and I was not impressed at all. I think Subway is way better with the freshness and customer service. So to start the lettuce was brown...literally. If I didnt seem so rushed and if the person behind the counter could actually speak with out mumbling then I would have asked to have the lettuce replaced with fresh but thought that should be the stores responsibility to do that. So I asked for my sub to have no lettuce and I got a mini sub and made it a combo and my husband got the next size up combo. He liked his sub and I like mine too but it was very plain and they forgot to put on the cheese. A little annoyed when we left and felt I spent too much money...$20 was the total. Our first time at this specific location was excellent. The guys who prepared our order must've been owners or managers because thereafter, it was downhill.
