Very poor experience. Rude server who treated us terribly but was nice to the other customers. When I noticed the way she treated them, I realized they were all caucasians & we were the only minorities in there. She came to our table with a demeaning tone & asked were we ready in our first encounter. She didn't introduce herself or check on us for drink refills while we waited for our food. We never got to eat because the waitress never put our order in and we waited for an hour. We ended up leaving! Will never be coming here again! I don't recommend this restaurant...stay away! I have been there many times and the food is good if you don't mind being pestered by flies. This property would do well to take action on their chronic insect infestation problem. If you swat a fly and it lands in your meal there is no extra charge for the protein supplement. read more

I was beyond disappointed at our experience tonight. The waitress staff was beyond upsetting. This was once a place I would look forward to on my visits to Fallon for their delicious home cooked meals. While the menu remains the same the food/atmosphere is NOT. The waitress staff was standing around gossiping by the register instead of checking on their tables ( for refills, get napkins, make sure everyone had silverware etc.). They failed to tell us what they were out of and brought our food with modifications (burgers on sandwich bread) without telling us or giving us a chance to order something different. When we finally asked a bright red haired waitress for napkins and refills she couldn't be bothered and asked ANOTHER waitress to grab them because she was too busy doing... NOTHING!!!! She brought us refills with no ice. So we had luke warm lemonade. The red haired waitress did not appear groomed and as if she didn't even wash her hair. She was wearing her laziness. Gross!! Lastly, the one chef they had working was super busy! He was carrying these girls and making up for their laziness. Poor guy was busting his tail and had no support from his fellow co-workers. Looks like a normal, run of the mill American breakfast restaurant. What they don't show is the dry meatloaf covered in can gravy, corn beef hash that is supremely sub-par regarding the hash, lack of hand sanitizer and cleanly tables. Hit this place on the drive back from Oregon . Good place to go, wide selection on menu and the group of 8 got a wide array of food types. The country fried steak was ENORMOUS! Second plate for the mashed, corn and cornbread . Club sandwich was also really big . Everything was cooked perfect and service by Sarah was great . Seemed like she had just walked into work when we sat down . She was on it the entire time ! Automatic 18% gratuity wasn't enough for the service she provided ! Only issue was we were in the overflow area and the evening sun and 105 temps made the room a little warm . Thermostat on side wall said 85, and it definitely was . Stopped in for breakfast. First time here. Service was good, to us. Our waitress regularly checked on us and was friendly. However, there were flies everywhere. We counted at least 12 different flies buzzing around our table and constantly trying to land on our food. Also noticed flies at other peoples' tables. Frequently swatted them away and they always came back. Disgusting and anxiety provoking. Made me question the cleanliness of kitchen. Not a pleasant experience. Also, an observation I noticed, and I'm not trying to accuse anyone of anything because it may have been an odd coincidence, but I noticed that all the white people were on one side of the restaurant, and the one black person in the restaurant was on the opposite end, in the farthest away booth in the corner with a huge gap between him and everyone else, as the restaurant was only half full. Please note that we are seated by a host, we do not seat ourselves. Also noticed that his service wasn't as good as ours. If this was a coincidence, that's very unfortunate and more attention should be paid equally to all customers. FOOD ALLERGY SUFFERERS: DO NOT EAT HERE! I am allergic to cranberries. I rarely order salads because it seems "craisins" are all the rage. But this place was slow, and I assumed they were making this from scratch so I'd be safe. Nope! There were at least 2 craisins in there. (There was also some uncooked elbow macaroni; that was weird.) The waitress was nonchalant about it. My allergy won't kill me, but I know food allergies can be deadly, so be careful. read more

I really really hate to do this but the disrespectful food that was placed in my carryout container leaves me no choice. So I'm in town for work and the only thing open after midnight is this Dinner. I have eaten here once before and thought the waffles were amazing so around my lunch time (1am) I went to Jerry's to order food for myself and some of my coworkers. There was only one person in the dinner when I walked in and I was greeted immediately by the waitress. She was very nice. My shipmates wanted a chef salad and a Steak and egg breakfast. He had eaten the steak previous and thought it was good so I order a steak as well. Everything was brought out fairly fast and unfortunately I broke carryout rule number 1. I did not check the food smh. I received no complaints about the salad. 1 steak was medium with fried egg hash browns and toast and the other was med well with cheese eggs and fruit. What we received was burnt steaks, one was so burnt the ends crumbled off like a burnt charcol biscuit. There was hair in my cheese eggs and my fruit was slimmy!!!! Ewww!!! I will never return to this restaurant. Oh and the steaks cost $16 for something that I could not eat. Being in the Navy and deploying on ships, I am no stranger to subpar food, that being said I would rather eat a MRE. read more

A breakfast place should know how to fry an over medium egg. This wasn't the case today, thus 3 stars. Service was great however no one ever asked how the food was. I had the chicken fried steak n eggs with fruit instead of potatoe or toast. Decent gravy, large portion and great tasting steak. The fruit today was a mix of fresh melon. i go here after every social hang out and the staff is so kind and patient! i'm not the biggest fan of the food but i enjoy the fries a lot.

The restaurant has slowly been going down hill. Tonight's meal & wait staff turned this customer of over ten years into a former customer. My "California Burger" came to me plain - no cheese or avocado, the arugula had black spots on it and two strips of burnt bacon. I pointed out to the waitress what was wrong with my food and she began to tell me they were out of cheese, oh the cook knows it's supposed to have avocado but didn't do it, and a couple more excuses. If you are out of product you inform your customer BEFORE you finish preparing and allow for an alternate menu choice. Sadly my meal was not the only problem at our table. The waitress took it upon herself to "give us a little discount for the problem with my burger" she had no idea if either of us were active duty or retired but blindly applied a military discount vs not charging us at all for that menu item. Sorry Jerry's but I will no longer recommend or frequent your restaurant. read more

We find ourselves in Fallon once a year and in need of a hearty meal before and after Burning Man. It has long been shared in the community that this places does NOT welcome Burning Man folk and as such, we have avoided it. However, we gave it a shot this year and I'm glad we did. We were not treated any differently (so far as I could tell) than any other patron. Service was a bit harried but it was understandable as the place was hoppin'. My breakfast was very good and the cinnamon rolls are delicious! We will definitely come back. read more

Just want to take a minute and tell you about our experience last night for dinner.my family and I stopped by after shopping to get a bite to eat before driving home, the restaurant was about half full took about 5 or 10 minutes to get seated which was ok, this is where it all went wrong. Took about 15 minutes to have someone take our order for food and drinks, waited well over a hour before we got our food and still no drinks. We had received 2 of our 3 orders, which the waitress said it would be right up, so we ate while my daughter waited for her order, which never showed up. The waitress stopped by a few times, offering some soup to help pass the time, well after 2 bowls of soup and a hour of waiting she got her order. It was one of the worst meals I have ever had there, and the waitress really didn't seem to know what she was doing, we did get a 5 dollar off coupon to help pay for the meal, but still that was not called for. Will be a long time again before I go back in there, and I have been eating there for well over 25 years, don't know really who to blame the waitress or the cooks. read more

I've had Jerry's a few times. Usually it's late at night and nothing else it open. If you've never been there basically it's a Denny's style restaurant, booth, table and counter seating, some old school pop decor, and comfort type American food items like pancakes, eggs, sandwiches, meat loaf, burgers, etc. This latest and likely last time I was greeted at the door by a busser who sat me and took my drink order, and then a few minutes later by a waitress who took my order. That promptness was about the only plus I would give Jerry's on the service. I ordered the meatloaf to which I was first informed there was no salad as a side. Ok? So is there a substitution for that? "How about some tomato slices" I was told. Ok, mashed potatoes it is. She did offer to give me an extra portion of cornbread, which was good, but she came back a few minutes later and informed me no meatloaf. My second choice was taco salad, but with no salad I guess that was out as well. My third choice was the ground beef steak deluxe which the server knew for sure they had in back. 10 min later I got my meal, which consisted of an okay ground beef steak, mashed potatoes with some crusty parts, some okay corn, and the 2 mini loafs of cornbread that were quite dry, which wouldn't have been a problem if my server had come back to refill my iced tea. In fact, as soon as she dropped the plate off, she wrote me my ticket and I never saw her again (other than waiting on the one other table that came in after me). Not to check on how my food was or anything. Bottom line is, if you want to eat food most people can cook better at home, or you are starving and nothing else is open, give it a shot. read more

The one star is for the professionalism of the servers... Everything else doesn't rate a star. First, the food is basically blah. Nothing exciting and nothing anyone in the group appeared to be enjoying to the extent of another visit. Before I get negative I would like to say Brooke, Lisa, Sandra, and the other women I can't remember did a fantastic job. How you ask? Well, after the cook literally said f*** it and walked out on about 14 tickets, the ladies handled it extremely well. After kitchen reinforcements arrived I was expecting the food to be on par with the wait staff service but not a chance. I'm actually hoping I don't s**t myself on the ride home. :( I had the french dip (not recommended), while others had the caliguacafornia chicken sandwich, a couple burgers, and some breakfast. It looks to be an alternative to Denny's... It falls short but not by much. My hats off to the cooks though, not for food quality but for coming in and picking up the slack for the D-bag that walked out. So, I'll give them a star too. read more

As a party of 4, our experience was not delightful throughout our time there. The waitress did not seem to care as she was taking our orders, didn't write down what we were ordering which resulted in us not getting all the items specified on the menu. We also noticed she talked much nicer with everyone else and even allowed a white guy to enter with a Chihuahua in his shirt even though there's a sign outside the door that specifies only service dogs. That in itself wasn't the problem, but to see people be able to get away with thing and then be treated differently truly does hinder your experience. Food was not all that great. read more

Stopped at the truck stop next door for a cpl hours, a local said Jerry's was the best in the area..and they did not lie! Old fashioned diner like decor, lots of Windows, extremely friendly staff.. We both had the Hungry Traveller (see attached menu desciption), eggs were perfectly cooked, my well done bacon was EXACTLY as I wanted, huge @ss hashbrown, nice and crispy outside, and a huge stack of pancakes... The restaurant appeared very busy, the waitress were hustling but didn't seem rushed or stressed, the two guys in the kitchen were turning out the food like you would not believe..WELL, believe It! It happened! The only drawback is I rarely get thru here... Jerry's is truly a gem in a neat little town... stop on, You will not be disappointed! read more

I called in a takeout order on Sunday morning and spoke with José who is awesome! I ordered the two-egg breakfast and the Ozzy's Southern breakfast (one for breakfast and one for lunch -- don't judge). I drove right over and despite being busy with the Sunday brunch crowd, José quickly brought out my food. And it was delicious! I think I love Jerry's because we were both born in 1966! I've heard good things about Jerry's the many years I've been passing thru Fallon, NV so I finally decided to stop and give it a shot. I ordered the hungry traveler eggs bacon sausage and hash browns with all you can eat pancakes. It was very tasty and the price was very reasonable. The down side I sat at the bar and it took 15 min to get my drink order in luckily I was ready with my food order as well. The coffee is not very good, which is why they probably don't bother to refill your cup unless you flag somebody down. My food came some time later not hot as it had been sitting under the heat lamp for a bit still warm though. The pancakes are supposed to be all you can eat but I don't have all day to sit here waiting for them. It took over an hour sitting at the bar still sitting here waiting for my bill. read more
