We understood when the deposit was made that it was considered non-refundable. However, the vehicle ended up being delayed, and because of the delay, she ultimately had to make a different decision and purchased a vehicle elsewhere. We reached out to Anacortes Ford hoping they would take the circumstances into consideration and refund the deposit, especially since the timeline for the vehicle had changed. Unfortunately, they chose to keep the entire $1,000. I understand having a deposit policy, but I also believe there are situations where a dealership can choose to work with a customer--especially when the vehicle isn't available within the timeframe originally expected. $1,000 is a significant amount of money, particularly for a young person making a major purchase. They may technically be within their policy, but the way this was handled left us extremely disappointed. Customer service and goodwill matter, and unfortunately this experience has made us hesitant to do business with Anacortes Ford in the future

I found the truck on Car Gurus on line. I made contact with the dealer. Business on the front end was great. I was contacted by Fernando, we agreed to a price and trade-in value. It was easy. I drove 300 miles to pick up the truck. I was given an appointment with a salesman to complete the sale. The salesman was not at work that day so I was shuttled off to another salesman. I arrived about a half hour early and the designated salesman had another customer at the same time. I spent a lot of time waiting throughout the process, even after the other customer left. We took a short test drive and an orientation of this technological wonder. Then, I waited. Once the waiting was done I was told to sit in the truck with OnStar to sign up for my trial subscription. I spent a lot of time on hold as OnStar tried to figure out why I could not begin this subscription for a year. This is still unresolved so I am missing features tied to OnStar like hands free driving. OnStar insinuated that the problem might be with the dealer so I mentioned it to the salesman who sort of shrugged it off. I asked the salesman for a second key for the truck. No key, no offer to get one. They cost $850, when programmed, at my local dealer. Finally, after all of the WAITING was complete, I met the finance guy. I paid cash so it should have been just a few signatures and out the door. Nope. Apparently, the finance guy's number 1 priority is to sell me extended warranties. ($3700+. No.) At least there was no waiting. To recap, I drove 300 miles, had to spend the night, OnStar still does not work, and I have only one key. Not great.

The car was in Burlington at the Kia store and I am in Anacortes so they had it delivered to the Anacortes location for me. It has been very reliable and the price was right. Got in and out in a timely manner with a good interest rate. The second car was a 2018 Kia Rio. It was within my budget and everything was arranged and ready to sign before I got there. All I had to do was drive it. My next vehicle will be purchased from Jerry Smith. Hopefully I will be able to buy new.

Had to work it for hours, and now after having SignDog install new lettering my entire paint job is on the hull is cracked only where the old name was. They claim they did not do it, but would have their insurance person look at, and now they don't even return emails, and no word on the insurance company. So I now, must spend $3000 repainting the stern. They claim I had high heat on my stern. Maybe its just me, but a boat on the water in the summer comes in contact with heat conditions. Is this a surprise to them? Maybe it was the heat gun they used on the old lettering removal, as my wife pointed out them at the time.
