After a great visit to Friday Harbor I got to my rental about 8 pm to ready to head back to my hotel . What I found was a flat tire! Although it took the rental company hours to find them, once Anacortes Towing arrived I felt immediately safe and comfortable. He quickly got to work changing the tire with the spare in the trunk only to find that the compressor that is supposed to be part of the spare tire set up was not in the rental. No problem, he hoisted my car on his truck towed me into where he pumped it up and I was on my way. The entire time he was positive and happy which made me feel much better. These guys are great. We live on Lopez Island, so towing is an adventure. Our Toyota truck broke down late Thursday. I first called around to towing services on the islands but no one seemed even interested until Monday. Then I called Anacortes Towing (AT). The owner, Jeff, immediately started making arrangements. It was too late to catch a ferry so Mark came the next morning on the 5:20 (which means he must have gotten up at 4:30). He somehow maneuvered their truck on our cramped driveway, loaded our pickup, and caught the next boat. We were covered for costs by Toyota Roadside Services who just couldn't get things right. Mairi, the AT dispatcher, ran interference with Toyota to get the claim placed (after I got no help from Foothills Toyota in Burlington). I will go first to Anacortes Towing in the future. read more

Wow. Where to start. My 78 year old mother was in an accident with her very low mileage 2004 Dodge Durango Hemi. She was struck on the side, wrecking both left side doors. Due to the cars age it was totaled but retains a decent amount of salvage value. The car was towed by Anacortes Towing about 7 miles and spent a few days on their lot. When she showed up to retrieve a few odds and ends they demanded almost $500 as well as the title to the car. Her credit card was still in the Durango so they sent a guy to loom over her with the machine while she looked for the card....like she was going to dash into the woods or something. If only Yelp allowed negative stars. It's hard to find businesses this bad in 2019 but apparently they still exist. If you need a tow in the Anacortes area and these guys show up do yourself a favor and insist on anyone else. read more
