Sign Dog did a great job with the graphics for my boat. Especially considering the weather they had to contend with.

It is easily located on a popular street, right down from the "welcome to Anacortes" sign. Parking is readily available. It's busy but the tables turnover quickly. We headed over for dinner to celebrate a special occasion, and we were glad we'd made a reservation because the place was packed! The ambiance here is dark and elegant - not something I necessarily expect in Anacortes, but it set the perfect tone for a special evening. Our server, Aimee, who I knew from local Yelp events years ago, was absolutely fantastic. She knew everything on the menu, and by the time she described everything we asked about, we had trouble not ordering it all. But first, we started with a bottle of perfectly chilled sauv blanc while we perused the menu. I was impressed by the varied selection of food. They have everything from burgers to ribeye, and all very fairly priced. We started with an order of calamari, perfectly fried and served with a citrussy, aioli-style sauce. For dinner, Dude loved their fish 'n chips while I devoured a plate of fresh king salmon served atop crispy risotto and the most amazing pesto lemon cream sauce. After we enjoyed sharing a dish of tasty creme brulee, Aimee shared that they serve brunch here too! I had no idea, but looking at the menu and hearing that they serve mimosas, we'll definitely be back. We also got a mini tour of their adorable speakeasy style bar and huge in-progress beer garden too. I'm definitely keeping Tasha Lee's on my Anacortes rotation!

I saw they had BBQ, and the reviews seemed to rave about it, so we flung a U-ie and came here. IM SO GLAD WE DID. You walk in and order your food at the counter, then head next door (still inside the same building) to grab your beer. Tons of seating both inside and out. **St Louis ribs are only sold on Saturdays** FYI We got a flight of ciders and beers, and for food we got BBQ nachos, ribs, and I think my husband got a burger. My husband said his burger was good, BUT THESE RIBS, YALL. They stole the show. They were honestly the best ribs I've EVER had! So tender, and the dry rub was amazing. I highly suggest getting them dry and getting the BBQ sauce on the side. That way you can taste how good they really are before being drenched in their delicious BBQ sauce. As for the beers, I wanted to give a shout out to their Coconut Stout. I've had many coconut stouts that I want to be good, and they all fall flat. But this has been my favorite coconut stout of all time! You could taste the full flavor profile of the toasted coconut! It was incredible! I give this place a 10/10! We will definitely be back!!

This is a cute place, with ample seating, dining room style, as well as a walk up counter if you just want to grab and go. They have a bit of merch and a sunny environment. Service was cheerful and efficient.

I ordered a mornin' sunshine sandwich using sausage and a croissant. The texture of the freshly…read morebaked croissant was phenomenal. The slight bit of crisp was peak, and the flavor of the sausage was also quite good. Additionally, the egg was soft and fluffy while the cheese inside the egg was noticeably stretchy. I believe this is the second Calico Cupboard I've been to. This chain seems to place plenty of effort into setting the right vibe with its building, decorations, everything. With that in mind, I think the La Conner one probably does this better with its almost fairy tale-esque location right on the river. Aside from that, uuuuhhh, this is awkward. I came here with my mom, and she left a one star review. I believe this is the first time this has happened as I review almost every restaurant I enter, but her account is essentially inactive, appearing only to cast shame on something unpleasant. If she saw this review, she would probably be angry. But I doubt she'll ever read this (hopefully). If she does...maybe it's worth it to write a high quality review. Lmao. Eating at a restaurant with her does give me a small opportunity as I think of myself as a low maintenance customer. Conversely, she has specific requests, and I get to observe how much each restaurant is willing to accommodate. Recently, she will always order a veggie egg white omelette. She will order this whether it's on your menu or not. It needs to be egg whites, and it needs to be an omelette, not a scramble. She will basically never want breakfast meats and will probably ask for something like shrimp. Oh, and swiss cheese or mixed cheeses. And if there's bread, it has to be English muffin. Absolutely no potato stuff. Calico Cupboard, to their credit, was able to meet all of these needs except that they don't have shrimp lol. Oh, and I guess the English muffin was an extra charge. She liked the broccoli. Anyways, service was slightly delayed, which left my coffee cup temporarily empty. I guess that's objectively a hit on service. Also, she didn't like the look and texture of her English muffin. I didn't try it so I can't judge that aspect, but I guess the cut did look rather "flat" to me for some reason. So these were the, uuuuhh, "impetus," for her to find something else, and she found it on a grape. Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of this before the waitress took it to the kitchen, but it was some small....white.....thing. In my personal opinion, I could not tell what it was at all, and it could've been some small disfigured piece of egg or cheese, but she was adamant that it was a "bug." And basically demanded to know why the kitchen didn't clean their fruits. The waitress agreed (or at least pretended to agree) that it looked off and went to the kitchen with it. However, the back of the house was not so easily intimidated and maintained that they did clean their fruits and there was nothing wrong with it. As a result, even though the waitress apologized, we did not get a discount for the "bug," which obviously put her in a bad mood. I did at least take a picture of my own fruits, with the grapes towards the front. But naturally, I was unable to capture the same, errr, contaminant.
