My recent visit for new tires on my Lexus RX-350 at the Burlington WA revealed a change in , professionalism, and business practices. They now play games in their billing practices and lack transparency. Per my original phone conversation, After applying a manufactures rebate and offering to a discountinued tire price involving a tire that i desired but now was replaced by a new model tire at a slightly higher price. ...I found when presented the bill they charged nearly $200 extra dollars for tire insurance which I did not order nor did we talk about. When questioning this they quickly said they could remove it. This charge would have been twice the savings that I was expecting! Some discount. I pressed them how it got on the bill in the first place. It went down hill from there starting with their billing computer program just includes it, followed by they were already generous by applying a discount implying that I should be grateful for it and they therefore were justified in doing this (as ridiculous as that sounds, but consistent with the level of maturity and professionalism that this store presents). Also, no advantage to appointment times as they are not adhered to. Beware, when shopping at the Burlington store, (get the full out- the door cost quote or they will make up one of their own in hopes you won't catch them taking advantage of me (being 75 yrs old?) to make their bonuses). Hopefully Discount Tire's other stores have more integrity that this one is displaying. Senior management needs to address them.

They also do propane refills, and it's very convenient to be able to pop in, fill up the ol' tanks, and then head out to our next RV adventure.
