Timely appointment and friendly staff. Did an outstanding job repairing a windshield rock chip. Always a pleasure to work with.

Sue helped us make the perfect choice for edge detail on the glass, and the price was very reasonable.

Looking for a Christmas miracle? Well, FDC Glass just became my holiday hero! Picture this:…read moreshattered glass panes on my front door, a dozen contractors telling me "just replace the whole door" (aka "give us more money"), and me slowly losing hope faster than a snowman in July. Enter FDC Glass, cape flapping in the wind (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the vibe). Not only was their quote actually reasonable, but they didn't hit me with the classic contractor combo of upsells and surprise charges. They even sealed up my entrance while working on the door - no extra fee, no fuss, just good old-fashioned service. The result? My door looks fantastic, my wallet isn't crying, and I'm singing their praises louder than carolers in December. I've already told my HOA about them, and you bet I'll be calling them for my other properties. TL;DR: FDC Glass = Christmas miracle workers who actually fix what's broken instead of trying to sell you a whole new house. 10/10 would recommend!

Update: Since…read moreposting this review the company has continued to threaten me by emailing me directly. I understand the company disagrees with my review, but I was disappointed by the tone of their response and the implied pressure to remove it. Being told they would publicly respond and report the review to Yelp and Google if I didn't remove it felt unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. Also in response to their comments below Thank you for confirming the exact root of the problem: you looked at a three-pane window, saw that only the middle section was currently foggy, and assumed I only wanted that single section replaced. As a professional window company, it was your responsibility to clearly state: "We see only the middle pane is failing, so this quote is strictly for one pane of glass, not the entire window unit you asked for." You didn't do that. You just wrote "1 glass replacement" on a quote for a "window replacement" request and expected a regular homeowner to know the technical difference. The fact remains: I asked for a window replacement. I provided a photo of the entire window. Other companies looked at the exact same information and managed to quote the entire three-pane unit for a price comparable to what you charged me for just the middle section. You can keep calling a customer's genuine financial frustration "deceptive" to protect your online rating, but your own responses show a complete lack of accountability. You made an assumption, failed to communicate it clearly upfront, and I had to pay the premium for it. Prospective clients can read this back-and-forth and decide for themselves if they want to risk dealing with a company that hides behind ambiguous quote terminology instead of practicing transparent communication. I am done repeating myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently had a foggy/failing window repaired that consisted of 3 separate sections. Unfortunately, due to some miscommunication during the quoting process, only the middle section was replaced. That was really frustrating because it made the overall cost much higher compared to other companies I had received quotes from. To their credit, they did offer to replace the remaining sections at a discount after I brought up the issue. However, even with the discount, the final price still ends up being significantly more expensive than competitors. Had everything been communicated more clearly upfront, I likely would have chosen a different company. The biggest issue for me was the lack of clarity during the quoting process. It felt misleading to realize afterward that the quote only covered one section instead of the full window I thought we had discussed. That said, I do want to give credit to the installation crew because they were excellent. They were respectful, worked quickly, kept everything clean, and did quality work. My frustration is mainly with the communication and quoting side of the experience, not the installers themselves.

Then I saw a Cross View Glass truck working in our community and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. Colin was incredibly thorough; he carefully measured the dimensions and told me he would need some time to locate the correct replacement parts. He even reminded me that if I didn't hear back right away, not to worry--he hadn't forgotten. Over the following days, he reached out to me multiple times to confirm details about the brand and manufacturer, and he even arranged a three-way call between himself, me, and the manufacturer to make sure everything was accurate. Colin is truly different from other handymen--while others just took a quick look and left, he spent a lot of time researching the right parts online and ultimately solved this difficult problem for me. I'm extremely grateful for Colin's professionalism, patience, and dedication. Highly recommend!

TLDR: Glass was fixed as agreed upon but customer service could have been better…read more I hired Bud Barton to replace a window in my house in conjunction with the sale of my home. I told them the timeline I needed the job to be completed and they agreed and executed the job. However, they were later for the initial survey. What was also frustrating was that I got no call or heads-up about what was happening. I had to reach out to find out why there was a delay and when I could expect someone to be at my home. Then, on the day of the repair, the tech no-showed on me. I had been waiting around just for this repair and had other places I had to be, so I couldn't continue to wait past the service window that had been agreed upon. I again had to reach out to the shop to see what was going on as I received no phone call with a status update. I understand jobs run long sometimes, but I don't understand why I was never given a simple courtesy call. As this was late afternoon on a Friday, I asked for a manager to call on Monday to discuss a discount due to the delay. Again, no one called me.. so I reached out Monday afternoon after the window had been replaced Monday morning (tech was on time on Monday as I had the first appointment slot). I asked the manager for a discount to be applied since the tech had been late twice. He said they couldn't do this since this was "a rush job," and they had to squeeze us into the schedule as it was. At no point was I ever told before that this was a "rush job" or that I was using some kind of expedited service, so to claim no discount could be applied since they were really doing me a favor was pretty annoying. However, the shop did apply a Military discount, which was much appreciated. I had a short timeline to get this work done and didn't have the time or energy to fight this more, so I left it at that. The window was fixed quickly, and the work looked great. Here's what would have made things right: a phone call when the tech was running late, an honest review of the schedule and what the timeline for the job was, the manager to call back when requested, and a discount applied for their mistake with scheduling (even if they just called the military discount a courtesy discount I would have been happier).

I was happily surprised how efficient and fast this team worked to fix my door. I called on Tuesday and Jim came that same afternoon to measure the door. Jim works by his word and not contracts but was happy to quickly draw up and sign one on the spot to put things in writing which I think is best practice for all businesses. I would highly recommend J&R to anyone looking for fast and excellent work. The entire job to replace one double glass patio door was about $700 total. And, as a bonus, they were sweet with my inquisitive kids and accommodating of my husband's work schedule, which only allowed for work on the windows of the office at certain times of day.
