Their frapple was an interesting twist and tasted like fresh apples. The apples themselves however seemed a little old and we're getting rotten. Cute little stop if you're in the area, with an Instagram-able sign and local treats. Because the theme for this year is struggle I'll give them a pass but the Apple selection was a bit struggley. Left with only three good apples after digging for a few minutes. Def would recommend not leaving without trying the cider though. They have flavors that I don't usually see. So excited I had an opportunity to come to this Cider Mill. Truth be told, the location is less than ideal and the parking situation is dangerous. For how well this place does, you would think a parking lot would be an investment they would consider making. Parking is street parking only and on the side of Jericho/Oyster Bay Road where the traffic is moving quickly at 60 plus miles an hour. Also, the side of the road is not paved, it's a dirty path and very rocky, it is extremely easy to trip and fall into the road making the entire situation very unsafe. After parking a ways up the road and maneuvering ourselves in-between cars we made it to the actual cider mill, which was much smaller than I anticipated. They had loads of apples in huge crates outside, with an endless supply but you really had to dig in there to find ones that weren't soft and bruised. Granted, that could be from people dropping apples back into he crates but regardless, you had to search for good ones. Probably not the best idea to have apples in crates so deep because when you want to toss one back in, you aren't gently putting them back, which makes a lot of them bruised. They had butternut squash, orange pumpkins, white pumpkins and some plants for purchase. Inside was where you could find your salsas, jellies, apple cider, apple cider donuts, pies etc. There was quite a long line but it moved fairly quickly and gave you a chance to look at all the products they were selling. I got a bag of apple cider donuts, a container of cinnamon covered sliced apples and raspberries that were a huge hit in my house, a thing of apple cider, peach hot sauce and a jar of salsa. Everything came to $40 and change, which was pricey in my opinion. The staff really wasn't friendly in my opinion, it was more about efficiency, no hellos now how are you's just, "NEXT" and that was really it. I didn't come here for the warm customer service, but still. I haven't tried the hot sauce or salsa yet but the donuts weren't loved by the family. The apple mix was delicious! If the ingredients were accurate being that the only ingredients were baked sliced apples, cinnamon and raspberries then that is a healthy delicious fall treat and although it was $10, I would recommend it. Moral of the story is, I wouldn't come here for whole apples, but I would come back for that apple dish and maybe a pumpkin. read more

I thought the apple cider donuts were decent but nothing compared to other farms/mills that I've been to in the NY/NJ area. This was a super small shop on the side of a busy road, which made parking challenging because you have to park along that road and walk to the mill. They didn't have many options and it just wasn't what it looked like online. Also, not sure if this is out of the ordinary but they didn't have the donuts fresh, only pre-bagged. What needs work here is the "I don't need your business attitude" I walked in and asked if they had any pecan pie "nope" said the girl without looking up from her phone. I heard of this place and finally went with my daughters. We were excited to try another place for yummy treats. We bought apple cider donuts which were very good however I bought a mini apple crumb pie and I have never said this about any pie before but it was awful. The crumb had zero flavor and was like eating sand. It literally fell off the pie like it wasn't cooked. I was also so disappointed that the pie had no pie bottom. Such an underrated place! I've never had a bad item from this place (hot cider, cold cider, apple pie, you name it). I love that it's open year round as well obviously the selection isn't as great in the winter months but not their fault. They had hot cider, cold cider, and frozen cider. Parking is available along the shoulder of Jericho Oyster Bay Road (Route 106). The shoulder is wide enough to park and open your door all the way without interfering with oncoming traffic; however, I tried to be careful because traffic was moving over 50 mph. read more

Parking alongside zooming cars on 106 is worth it coming to this little, shack? Let's call it a shack. This place is very nostalgic for me because I used to come with my mom when I was little. The main thing I come here for is the cider, it is delicious! One of my favorites. I Always can't wait for the fall when they open. I like to have it ice cold or I stick it in the crockpot with spices to have it hot. They also have homemade pies that are constantly coming out of the ovens. Great jams and apple butter as well. Ahhh nothing said fall on Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY like a trip to the Jericho Cider Mill. For those of us lucky enough to be Native NorthEasters, many of us had our own apple trees. Even if we did, the Cider Mill made some of the tastiest Cider, pies and apple goodies around. My Dad used to leave a few gallons in the garage to make Apple Jack. Couple of times they exploded; guess the fermentation process was not quite "scientific." It is one of those places that brings my heart and mind "home" and on the short list of MUST stops during season. Fresh Fruit and pies! I totally forgot about this place - and I drive past it everyday. They have the best stuff there especially in the fall when the apples are in and they are making their famous pies. I usually pop in to grab a few pies on my way to visit people for Thanksgiving- but you have to go early due to the crowds that park all up and down route 106. They also have these big crates of apples and tons of jelly and assorted "country" items to keep you happily fortified for the winter. They also have their own brand of maple syrups and jams, as well as every kind of apple preparation you can imagine. The only downside is during the holidays, it is very difficult to get a parking spot. There's only space for a handful of cars in their lot, the rest is street parking. Although I did think this place had apple picking, it actually does not. It's more of a market place for fresh apples and I also saw some pumpkins. However, the sunflowers here made up for it. They are so beautiful and healthy. In addition the prices for the pies were a bit expensive for me, about $24 for a big one. I come here every year on my way back home from the annual Oyster Festival. This year they made some renovations and upgrades! The inside is now like a mini market with a large space with cashiers. It use to be just a walk up counter to order from. The line this time was a lot longer but it was probably due to it being the weekend and because of the oyster festival. They are open ALL YEAR LONG. They make amazing pies! My favorite has been apple crumb pie, apple pie and pumpkin. unfortunately they were sold out of everything except variations of apple crumb (peachy apple crumb, apple blueberry crumb, etc). Im not sure if its because of the upgrade or just because it was busy but the pie was not as good as it usually was. I'll have to go back and try it again since this is my favorite place to pick up some pie. Also dont forget to pick up some apple cider! its deeeelish. read more
