Eddie and his team did a fabulous job. Even after the pool was completed a few years later I called and asked Eddie what I could buy to get rid of the calcium stain on the tile and the next day Eddie not only came over and cleaned off the calcium deposits but left me a bottle of what to use in the future. Jensen Pools & Renovations LLC is an excellent company to work with from start to finish. The owner Mr. Eddy Jensen is very responsive and came out the very first day I called him for a quote. We were in need of removing a glass block wall that separated the spa from the pool because of cracks in the block that made it dangerous for kids to play in the pool. We also needed to replace the tile around the pool and spa and also resurface the entire pool. He was very knowledgeable of what needed to be done and thoroughly explained everything that needed to be done and the process that he would implement. He was very helpful in helping me find just the right tile color for the look I wanted as well as the coloring of the marquis surface. HIs entire crew was very conscientious, hardworking and respectful. Mr. Eddy checked on them every day and made sure everything was perfect and that the area was cleaned up daily. He made sure that we were satisfied every step of the way. The price he quoted is the price we paid. The pool turned out beautiful and only took 13 days from start to finish. The price never changed unless we added more to the job. Ed's employees are pleasant & work very hard. We saw Ed almost everyday & we were made aware of what was completed & what the next step was. Our pool was leaking, the coating was looking its age and the light would not stay in the wall. After contacting other companies and getting no responses, we looked around some more then contacted Jensen Pools and Renovations. He responded to our initial call within a few hours and set a time to meet with us. During our initial meeting with Mr. Jensen, he provided us with a comprehensive estimate of what we wanted and some things he suggested. He then set a proposed time frame to make our 20-year-old pool and deck look new again. We selected Jensen Pools and Renovations at our initial meeting and set a date for the work to begin. The work actually began earlier than expected. Mr. Jensen and Johnny, his right-hand man, came out, drained the pool and got everything ready. They identified and prepped areas where leaks were found. Johnny is one of the hardest working men I've ever seen! He is also very good with pool plumbing. Our filter and selector valves were brittle from aging in the sun for so many years. Some of the valves did not work, having been in the same position for so long. During the first day of work, we asked Mr. Jensen and Johnny to replace the majority of those items as well as selecting a new lighting fixture, which would improve the beauty of the pool at night. This work was in addition to the original cost, but that work was completed on their next visit and was very reasonable. The tile crew arrived next. They are a very hard-working group too and the tile work was done in just two days. They did an excellent job! We watched as they prepped for the tile installation, including making sure all the tiles were level. The original tile was not level in places and did not look professionally done. The new tile looked amazing, even though the rest of the work had not been completed. As part of the work, we were to have the deck refurbished. Mr. Jensen had Glenn contact us and made those arrangements. Glenn is very meticulous, and the new deck surface and coating exceeded our expectations. The resurfacing of the pool and spa was completed in just a few days and the pool was refilled. Mr. Jensen and Johnny came out nearly every day, including some Saturday's, during the process to make sure that things were getting accomplished in a timely manner. They always kept the work area as clean and debris free as possible and carted away all the old product that was removed from the pool every day. Johnny and Mr. Jensen exceeded all our expectations and our "new" pool looks absolutely amazing. Mr. Jensen was true to his word about the work that was to be done, when it would be completed and how pleased we would be with the finished product. The project was even completed ahead of the projected date! I have never hired a contractor that did what they said they were going to do in the time frame they said it was going to be done. We cannot begin to express how utterly and completely satisfied with work Mr. Jensen, Johnny, Glenn and all the others did. After failing to get a couple of different pool companies out to get and estimate due to no shows or them being to busy, I searched the internet once again to find a good pool company to do our renovation. I came across Jensen Pools and Renovations. What caught my eye about the site is they specialized in renovations, not pool builds. I called them and spoke with Mr. Jensen who said he would come out that evening and sure enough, he showed up as promised. It was obvious he had been working hard all day as he said he was woorking on a pool nearby. When Mr. Jensen looked at our pool he was immediately concerned. We had peeling paint coming off of the tile and paint residue in the pool due to the house flippers not fixing the pool correctly. He ran his hand through the pool water and paint chips stuck to his hand. He told us not to swim in the pool anymore. After looking at the pool he gave us a verbal estimate and the next day dropped off the written estimate with a list of things his team will be doing. We met with Mr. Jensen that following Monday which was Memorial Day. The fact that he took the time to meet us on his day off and was on time spoke volumes. We selected our tile color and could tell he was super excited to do our pool project. Mr. Jensen and his wife made sure to communicate with us all week and told us the start date as soon as supplies started rolling in. The first day of the project, this man worked all day demolishing the old pool. I mean, he was working his butt off. This is when we found out why our pool was leaking. The water fountain and area under the skimmer was completely hollow. Mr. Jensen wanted to make it right so his team ended up rebuilding the fountain which turned out so beautiful. The whole project was smooth! The tile/coping team were so talented. I was so impressed with the attention to detail and the cuts they made. The paver team worked quickly and efficiently even with rain in the forecast. The team who finished the pool bottom really know what their doing. The pool is as smooth as a baby's butt. Mr. Jensen even brought us pastries in the middle of the project. This man has so much integrity and work ethic! We feel luck we found his company. He really treated us like family and were always happy to see and talk to him. Mr. Jensen Pool Renovation really changed our lives. We can now enjoy our pool without any worries! Mr. Jensen or "Mr. Ed" as I have come to call him was a wonderful person to work with. His crew was responsible and always worked hard. "Doc," Ed's master plumber also did a fantastic job adding new water features to the pool as well as updating our pipes, pump, and lighting. Everyone that I met who worked on our intense pool overhaul project had great respect for Ed and thought very highly of him. I am so thankful to have found Jensen Pools after several attempts to get another pool remodeling contractor to start a job that they had quoted. Something that really stood out to me was how responsive Ed was during the whole process, from coming out to quote the job to following up after the completion of the remodeling job. Another pleasant surprise was that Ed completed the job before the originally scheduled finish date. He worked very hard to do this, knowing my son's birthday was coming up and we wanted to celebrate with a NEW pool!! My backyard has been turned from a drab and gloomy one that I didn't much enjoy into a bright and beautiful oasis that I look forward to being in everyday. Even a neighbor who saw the finished product earlier this week, remarked on how stunning it was. I don't know of any other person that I have ever hired who went the extra mile to bring wonderful hot lunches to his crew and even to my husband when he found out it was his birthday, but that is the kind of man that Ed is. When other contractors never returned calls or were overwhelmed by the job, Ed took it on, always moving forward and giving us the wonderful gift of service with a smile and generous spirit that very few possess.
