My 20 years of experience has thought me that investing on better supplies and taking time to do it right, will actually take us to best results with much longer lifespan on the final product. I have a passion about my work and take pride on it. One of the many things I love about working with Larsens is that we share the same vision and our goals are aligned. With Larsens is not just about the profit. They have built a stellar reputation. They care about quality, they invest in the best supplies the market has to offer and actually encourage us when we have a passion about our work. GREAT! I interviewed 7 different pool companies before choosing Larsen. i was NOT looking for best price, i was looking for fairest price, great reputation, but most importantly, trust within the sales team and or owner of the business. after careful consideration, i chose Larsen. They were NOT the cheapest, but with a project this important, all you really care about is that it gets done the right way, and to your liking. They certainly accomplished both of those missions. They had a great online reputation, and the owner was a very nice and knowledgeable guy. I signed for my pool to break ground in late February. They officially broke ground in mid march. I was swimming in 30 days. There was a different crew there everyday. Weekends included. Excavation, pavers, plumbers, concrete guys, electrician, they were all on time, friendly, nice, and masters of their individual craft. The entire process is managed by Eric's father, Dave. He's GREAT!. Constant communication. he keeps all his crews in line, ensures there work is done right and on time. He is the liason between the home owner and the workers. His role is critical and makes you feel at peace. he's always available, super nice guy, doesnt try to sell you extra BS, just provides you, the home owner, with the best possible layout and structure of your pool Paver Guy Carlos, he's a master of his craft. Works hard, educates you on some finishing touches that you might not have considered with pavers when you initially started your project, he's great at what he does. Friendly, smart, funny, and did an awesome job. Excavation Crew is great as well. joe is the head guy there. Nice guy. Smart and extremely fast working. Some other great things about this pool project from Larsen: 1. They tell you not to buy things you dont need. They dont just sell you anything you want because it will make the money. They flat out tell you, "You dont need that". 2. They can custom design features to any basic pool style that you want. I bought a kidney bean pool, 2 days before breaking ground, i had them custom design a 10x5 swim out, they designed it in a few hours and put it in a few days later. 3. They anticipate things you will need, but just don't think about, for example, i didn't really know that i had an LED light included in the project. Come to find out, I wanted one, but it was already in there at the original price. BTW, the LED light at night is NICE! Must have for any new pool owner. In closing....Buying a pool is not an easy decision, can be a stressful time for the home owner because you have to TRUST the pool company gets it done right. Larsen you can trust. Dont hesitate. Its NOT about money, they were fair priced, not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but they were the BEST. And saving 1500 on a shitty pool company is not worth it. GO WITH LARSEN! read more

My wife and I hired Larsen's Pool & Spa back in Oct 2017 after receiving several quotes from 3 other companies in the area. Larsen's started construction Jan 2018 and was completed with the pool March 2018. After carefully researching all the companies we received quotes from we decided to go with Larsen's for several reasons. For one, Larsen's has some of the best customer reviews on Angie's list (and other sites). In addition to positive reviews, we were won over by assurance of a quality product and a guarantee to standby that product for years to come. Larsen's was not the cheapest company we received quotes from which the owner, Eric, admitted this up front, but sometimes you have to take into account what you are getting for the higher quote. Larsen's customer service has been outstanding starting with Dan Meyer in Sales. Dan managed to put together a beautiful design that satisfied my wife and I; not an easy task. Everything from the automation to the water features were addressed just as we requested. He was in constant communication with us throughout the process. Once construction started our project manager, Jason, kept me in the loop every step of the way, to include nights and weekends! No nightmares here about not being able to reach your project manager; All our concerns were addressed right away each time we brought up an issue. I can assure you this was not what I heard from two of my neighbors who went with another company (that I won't name). The final project turned out to be more satisfying than what I had imagined; it's spectacular so thanks for that Jason! Justin & John, my start-up team, keeps that line of communication and great customer service going by ensuring that we know how to properly work every feature of the pool and its equipment. From the time we stepped in the design center this company has been honest and trustworthy; even returning money at the end of the project for services that were not needed. I can almost guarantee you won't find too many companies that would have been honest and stood by that agreement. Adding a pool to your home is a big financial obligation & investment, so you want to make sure you go with a company that understands that and delivers a quality project; Larsen's Pool & Spa is that company. In 2020, we began our research to find a pool company. We read lots of online reviews and made many phone calls to various pool companies in the Tampa Bay area. Many were swamped with the unprecedented increase of pool sales during COVID. With this in mind, many companies told us to call back in 4-6 months because they were at max capacity with current projects. Others told us that we could be "squeezed" in. When you are investing a large sum of money to have a pool built... let's be honest you don't want to be squeezed in or feel like you are just a number. Larsen's Pool really stood out to us in regards to reviews through multiple websites. Our first call we were placed in contact with Eric (owner) to discuss our pool ideas, budget, etc. This was really helpful, not only were we having an honest conversation about timelines, overall process, construction, financing, and budget but I could tell that Eric really cared about his clients. The next step was a phone consultation with our designer, Jeff. After talking with us for 15 minutes, Jeff texted us a picture of a rough sketch of our pool design and he nailed it. The pool layout was not only functional, but he thought of little details that would make our pool design unique and something that we would enjoy. During construction, our project manager was Brooks. He was great with communication and ensuring that not only were we happy but that the quality of work being done was good. Within 3-4 months our pool was finished and the final punch list items were completed in a timely manner. The level of communication was impressive not only from the Larsen's but also their subcontractors. Throughout the process any question or concern was always addressed and answered quickly. Even after the final payment was made! The passion and level of care that Larsen's provides is evident and really makes them stand apart from the competition. In 2014 Larsen built a grass roots pool and spa which included a lanai cage and pavers at our house in the Eagles development of Odessa. The work was professionally performed with the highest customer service and we enjoyed our pool and spa for many years without major issues and great follow up service from Larsen's. Recently we moved to Trinity's Heritage Springs development, and the house we purchased had a run down 20 year old pool, that we decided to renovate. After soliciting several proposals from other local pool contractors, we were disappointed with their presentation, honesty, follow up and plans to renovate the pool. At the time we requested the proposals, we did not realize that Larsen's did pool renovations. On a whim we called Eric Larsen and he confirmed that they do renovations ! We were elated to have Eric and his Team back as our contractor. The Larsen's team promptly came to our house to discuss the project. They pointed out many deficiencies in the way other contractors were proposing to do the work, to a point that Larsen's stated they would not take on the work if we wanted the work to be performed the way some of the other contractors proposed. It all made perfect sense once Larsen's pointed out the deficiencies. Without hesitation we engaged Larsen's to renovate the pool, waterfall, install new equipment and install a sanded marble deck over the existing concrete patio and pool deck. The work was coordinated by John Martin, who was attentive to all our questions and concerns. The pool and deck came out beautifully and were just as happy as we were with their work and customer service when they built the pool in our previous house. My wife and I completed the install of a new pool in the end of 2021, a project of Larsen's Pools. We have been very pleased with the outcome. It was a major project, with a number of subcontractors overseen by the Larsen's project management. Joe was a great help with the pool design. We never imagined we could end up with something this nice in our smallish back yard. One aspect that definitely stood out for us was the professionalism of the subcontractors. They did great work. When I identified areas where corrections were needed, the project managers and subcontractors were prompt and courteous about making needed corrections. It was impressed on me that they appear to use the same teams on each project, so they all know one another pretty well. The project managers Brook and John were professional and kept good oversight of the project. The pool techs Justin and Mike have been great, prompt, helpful. The finance and office support, Cathy and Becca have always provided prompt responses to questions and helpful as well. Apart from the pool itself, I've learned that Larsen's is there to help and provide any prompt follow-ups after the install. I was a bit nervous that we would be on our own with this considerable investment, but they've made me realize that they're here when needed. Having a pool installed can be a nerve-wracking experience - I'm nervous about project problems by nature. But based on Larsen's solid experience, relationship with each of their subcontractors, and sincere prompt service after the sale, we have been able to rest easy, know it's being taken care of, and can say we are so happy to have chosen Larsen's for the project, and look forward to many years enjoying the pool. We loved Larsen Pool and Spa for our new pool which is amazing and exactly what we wanted! We reached out to JEFF first and he helped us throughout the entire process by customizing the pool design, sending us a video that showed exactly what we wanted in the pool and helping us every step of the way. He was a huge part in why we chose Larson pools spa in the first place. If I ever had a question or wanted to make a change, JEFF was there by phone or email to immediately assist. Once we got started with the pool built, Reid was our project manager and he did a great job of communicating and setting expectations for a pool, if they were going to be any delays he was clear upfront and we really appreciated that, he went out of his way to call or text and keep us posted on any concerns along the way. Our pool came out awesome and REID was a huge part of why because he had such a good relationship with the contractors and workers who were there each day. He wanted our pool to be exactly like we wanted and we appreciate that! When we got started with making payments for each step, Elicia was really helpful and reached out to let us know when to make the payments. Payments were done on a secure payment link on the website so I was easy to track what the next payment was and how much we had already paid. She was responsive and very friendly, when we were done paying the pool she thanked us for being easy to work with! Well, I loved working with her to because she always had the answer to questions I had about making payments. Overall, we have recommended Larsen pool and spa by to any of our friends who want a pool. we signed the contract for a pool in April, started digging in June and we're swimming by October. Hands down, Larsen's is the company to use. As I have never had a pool before I knew I would need to research and get estimates to ensure I would get quality work and value for the pool construction. I began my research by getting a few estimates. When I called Larsen's for an estimate, I spoke with Eric. Eric was made aware of my situation and the size of my small backyard. He assured me that this was no problem for the company and we proceeded to deal with his Dan. Dan was able to design a pool that was perfect for my backyard. Dan was even able to configure in a spa along with my pool! Zack took over as the project manager , and I cannot say enough good things about Zack as he kept me informed on a weekly bases. If I had any questions or concerns he would call or text me in a timely manner. Zack also knowing that this was the first time I have ever had anything to do with a pool always explained what they were doing at each stage. At times I felt as if I was aggravating Zack with questions he encouraged me to contact him anytime I wanted with any of my concerns. Near the end of the project, it was a pleasure to work with Justin. He was who came out to monitor the water levels to ensure the levels were balanced. He was also very knowledgeable and he answered any questions I had and was able to coach me on learning my pool. Doing business with Larsen's was worth the cost. We wanted a pool in our new forever home in St Pete and I did a LOT of research before calling for an appointment. Joe came out and we drew the design as I explained what I wanted and I had a drawing in a couple days. Then we went to there office to talk about price and pick out Tiles and pavers. They have a really nice selection of types of tiles and plenty of colors of Travertine (which I recommend). Joe was the gentleman who came out to dig the hole and he works fast to get it done to accommodate weather. And Larsens will assign you a main contact and he will be there for the beginning to coordinate everything from start to finish and we had Jim Atwell. Jim became like family over the life of the project, he is very knowledgeable and makes sure you know he cares about your job and try's to intercept and issues. When pool tile was delivered we decided it wasn't the look we wanted so Jim helped us pick out the PERFECT tiles to go with our look! They cleaned up after themselves after each process which is a MUST when your back yard is going through this process! No they are not the cheapest company but I did SO much research and got several quotes and they were not the most expensive either! They have the very best reviews with BBB too! This is a family business that actually cares about the job from the beginning. We absolutely love our pool and spa and are very pleased with it and would absolutely recommend Larsens and already have to friends and neighbors. We had an awesome experience with Larsen's Pools. The bid/design phase with Emily was stress-free, professional and inclusive. She stood out amongst the other pool contractors that we contacted and was a key reason as to what drove us to Larsen's. Her design was the best, and I really enjoyed working with her throughout the process. She had great suggestions, a great listener, and helped guide us with our preferences. Not like other companies that said, "oh you don't want that", or "this is the way we're going to do it". They weren't the cheapest bid, but the weren't the most expensive either. However, now that the pool is done, comparing it to the various designs and underlying expenses associated with them, I can say that they probably were the most cost-effective bid we received! We're quite amazed at the grandness of the pool, paver deck and cage. We were handed off to Reid as the project manager. He too has a great personality and really knows the profession. I am very detail-oriented and never thought I would meet someone that could rival my attention to detail. I can almost be overbearing at times as I like to be very involved, etc. He was always on top of everything and is a great communicator. Made regular site-visits and kept us up to date on all activities. There were some unknown issues that we had to address along the way that he quickly took care of. He also made some great suggestions that ultimately led us to make some changes to the lighting, coping, etc that Larsen's didn't "nickel and dime" us for. Just a great experience all around. We did A LOT of research on different companies, interviewed NINE, and then narrowed it down to Larsen's and one other company to do a complete makeover to our 16-year-old pool (we've only had the house for three years). We chose Larsen's because they listened more and NEVER pushed their own agenda. Our salesman, Joe, was great from the moment we met and was so patient with me when I asked questions. I took him pictures of pools I liked, then I changed my mind on things (several times) before signing on the dotted line and Joe never bulked! We had John, our project manager's, cell number and email address before the project started and boy did I use it during the project. This was our first time doing pool stuff and I was nervous spending so much money. The PM never made me feel bad. He kept reassuring me that I wasn't a bother. He came out to the project EVERY week! Additionally, John is very personable and would love on my dogs each time he came out. Larsen's stuck to their timeline (even through the heavy rains we had) and communication was top notch! Leak detection was done first to make sure we didn't have any problems (which we didn't). We had the following done - 1. New Pebble Tech interior 2. Cantilever edge cut off 3. New water line tile 4. Added a sun shelf with bubbler & umbrella holder 5. Glass accent tiles on steps, sun shelf, and swim out bench 6. Added two deck jets 7. Added travertine coping 8. Travertine decking in a French pattern 9. New skimmer 10. New deco drains 11. Had screen doors raised We are so happy with the outcome and would recommend Larsen's over and over! read more

I would give an A+ if I could. We went to Larsen's Pool and Spa not knowing that we should have made an appointment ahead of time. The owner, Eric, was in the middle of a weekly staff meeting with part of his team. He put the meeting on hold, came over to talk to us for a bit and then he and his staff assisted us with everything we needed. After making the various choices for the pool and signing the contract, Eric gave us his personal phone number and told us to call if there were any issues throughout the process. Our Construction Superintendent was Jim Atwell, who was one of the most pleasant people I have dealt with in the business world. He kept on top of things making sure the project moved along, answering all of our questions and concerns along the way. As few projects of this size go absolutely flawlessly, I will say that there were a few issues as things proceeded. Eric and his team made sure that at the end of the project we were 100% happy with everything. The few times that we needed to contact him he answered his phone and took care of the issue as soon as he could. We did not have to "settle" for anything. The project lasted six months and was finished in December 2019 receiving our "pool school" lesson from Justin. I can't say enough about Justin either as anytime I've texted or called him with a question he has always responded quickly. Almost nine months later everything is working flawlessly. Eric, Jim, Justin and the whole crew at Larsen's Pool and Spa are absolute professionals, very personable and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend them. read more

I'm so happy I chose to hire Larsen's pools for my new pool construction. I was hesitant to get into the process because I've heard so many horror stories with pool building projects, and I really wanted to avoid one of those situations. Eric, the owner of the company was very professional and he took the time to speak with me before I chose to work with them. He assured me that I would receive the highest quality in a timely manner, and that is exactly what I received. As soon as the permits were approved, the work was started. There was never a time when I had to wait around weeks and weeks for someone to come back and finish something or a delay in between stages of the work. Let me just say Larson's pool exceeded our expectations. The first person I spoke to while seeking quotes was the owner, Eric. I knew from that first conversation that Larson's would be a contender. Dan from sales was awesome! The quote came on a one-sided page with no small print. He really took the time to really understand what we were looking for. I text/called him throughout the project and he quickly would give feedback or answer questions. He stood by me throughout the entire project. Eric and Dave were always on top of every aspect of the project which was reassuring. The quality of the work was amazing. We were completely blown away by the skill and workmanship of the travertine coping by Washington. Washington also installed the glass tile which I was worried about but turned out beautiful and installed perfectly. Orlando and his team that installed the travertine deck did a wonderful job as well and we are thrilled with the finished look. These men were professional and a pleasure to work with. It especially become more so when every pool company we contacted either did not contact us back or were very poor communicators when it came to obtaining a tangible quote. The Larsen Pool construction project was a really great experience for us. This was the second time that we had a pool built and we did not want a repeat of the first pool construction experience that we had with another pool construction company which was an absolute night mare. A pool construction project is a very large undertaking which is not only very costly to purchase but it also will impact the value of your home in years to come. We looked thru Angie's List of pool construction companies and we found that Larsen's reviews were consistently great (not just good) over a long period of time and they had a large number of reviews to consider. After vetting Larsen's Pool company and about 4 other pool companies that either had good reviews or they were companies that we frequently saw in our subdivision we decide to go with Larsen's Pools and all I can say is they did not disappoint. The experience was absolutely great. They were not the lowest quote that we received but they stood by their guarantee that there would absolutely not be any additional charges once the project was under way. The salesman Adam was friendly, very professional, not pushy and very accommodating. He helped us not only just build a pool that we could afford but also helped us to create something that added great value to our home for years to come. We did a lot of research and interviewed a lot of companies. We chose Larsen's Pool and Spa because we wanted a modern custom pool and not a cookie-cutter design. We had special considerations due to elevation and from conception to installation the Larsen team knew exactly what to do. They were able to take our ideas and make it a reality. We met with a Larsen principle and construction leads to walk the property and I worked closely with a designer. Material selection was easy with the guidance of the project lead. My project lead, Reid called me at the end of every week to update me on the progress and to discuss the next weeks plan. Reid was very meticulous in overseeing the worker's progress. We had the usual delays expected during this pandemic, but their communication was appreciated. With so many stories of companies overextending themselves to the point that they were unable to finish pools they had started, the discovery/research part of selecting a company was scary. Their reputation speaks for itself, and they put us at ease. We can't say enough about the value for money spent. The Larsen Pool start up crew made weekly visits for one month after pool completion to check the chemicals and to make sure we understood how to maintain the pool and equipment. Larsen's designed and installed a large residential swimming pool and paved pool enclosure for our home. They were general contractor for the many subcontractors involved, all of whom Larsen's provided and supervised as part of their all-inclusive service. Working with Larsen's was a great experience. We love the pool they built for us, and on the whole the process of building it went very well. During construction, there were a few minor problems and mistakes, as you might expect in any large project, but Larsen's corrected every problem immediately and at no expense to us. Two examples: A few weeks after the pool was completed, we had some minor problems with the gutters installed between the pool enclosure and our house, and later with the electrical panel controlling the pool. Larsen's fixed both problems promptly, at no cost to us. There were a few other minor issues that Larsen's handled equally well. This kind of responsive behavior indicates to me that Larsen people don't just take the money and run - rather, they will be there for me when I need them. In my experience working with vendors, the quality of Larsen's work, their professionalism, and their dedication to polite customer service has rarely been equaled, and has never been surpassed. My wife and I decided to build a pool at our beach house in Florida for our 25 year wedding anniversary. Never having done this before, we were apprehensive going into the process. We read and heard all kinds of stories about the good and bad that can occur. We watched some pool shows on TV and designed our own pool. We went out for 3 bids as most people do. As I am sure the other 2 contractors were fine builders, we decided on Larsen's Pool and Spa. We had read good things and liked the idea that they were family owned and had been in business for a very long time. We are so glad we chose Larsen's. Not only did they listen and adopt our design, they led us through the process step by step, suggesting changes and improvements as we went. All their suggestions were spot on, and the builders were most professional and did Grade A work. We gave them a timeline to have the pool completed and they finished on time, on budget and delivered a magnificent pool. I would recommend this company to anyone that is thinking of installing a pool.
