We started using this company 10 years ago buying a pool heater and frankly that went well and the owner Jeremy did the work. BUT over the years as their quality help in the store left it has gone way down hill. It became totally hit and miss on in store visits to check water condition. We actually dropped them for Pool Duck a while back when we needed service. I young man answered the phone and it became obvious he couldn't care less if used them to fix our pool or not. The day of the scheduled repair came and went, so I called this time a lady answered & said she had no record of our service call. Again she was rude and basically implied I was making the entire thing up. Called Pool Duck they were very nice , pool was fixed the next day at a very fair price. Bought a little equipment from Amazon to check water myself and buy all my chemicals from Amazon too, they are way cheaper anyway. I'd been using GPS for convince and their friendly knowledgeable staff, but those people are long gone. read more

You are getting confused. My wife did not make ANY calls to GPS about this and would be most interested in hearing all phone conversations. You seem to concede that I did not curse or was rude on the phone. Your office personnel were polite but kept making install dates (at least 4 times) that were postponed due to lack of parts. It was your tech that declined installation during the heated exchange. I was unclear as to what the total cost would be. That seemed to be the breaking point. The DE blow back was not minor.. DE powder was ejected for 5 days after and covered the whole bottom of the pool. You dismissed it. When I put DE powder in, it still gets ejected. Your tech should have addressed the issue when he was out but ignored it. Your tech rearranged the plumbing to make it more accessible and I conjecture the tank was moved more than a little. Your tech remarked the tank was old and needed replacement. I agreed on the condition but declined due to cost. During the initial visit, the tech explained how they were compensated and that he was proud to work there. He worked hard and seemed knowledgeable. Everyone makes mistakes but he seems incapable of that consideration. GPS should be commended on treating their employees fairly. Most pool companies do not from what I understand. Does not mean they can' make mistakes tho. This whole episode is getting stupid. Facts are getting mixed up and intentions misconstrued. It has been blown WAY out proportion. You seem to think I am not out any money. Paid $175 at the start of the month. I have now created a dispute with the credit card company. They will be contacting you. I will also open a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as promised. I will copy all the Yelp conversations and let you play psychoanalyst some more. read more

I love my new tile and marcite, but I really love my turtles. From the start to the finish everything ran very smoothly and that is because Roy coordinated everything. Roy was absolutely a pleasure to work with and he was there every step of the way, every day he let me know exactly what was going on. We picked a tile that had a very unique design, so Roy checked with us to see exactly which way we wanted the design to go. We told him and he passed that information onto the tile installer. Bruno was in charge of everything related to the tile. He removed the old tile and prepped the area for new tile. It was absolutely fascinating to watch him work. He is so incredibly talented and very fast. Bruno also installed my beautiful mosaic tile turtles. There were nine turtle hatchlings on the steps. He was very helpful with the placement of them, as they are not all the same. We have an extremely deep pool and so therefore we put four larger turtles where the pools drops off significantly and they are all pointed in the direction of the deep end. We put a large 20 inch turtle in the very bottom of the pool and it appears the four turtles are following her. The new jets they installed are so powerful, sometimes it appears they are actually swimming. It was fun watching the marcite crew apply the new marcite, at one point there were actually seven people working on it in some way or another. Also when everything was finished you would have never even known several people had been working at my house, other than my beautiful new pool. I always read reviews before I make a decision on who I would like to do the work. I don't write many reviews and when I do it's because I'm very dissatisfied or very happy with the outcome. In this case it's pretty obvious why I choose to write this review. Also, price was a big issue with me as well. One company actually quoted a price that was almost twice what GPS quoted me. I neglected to mention that everything was done in one week. I love GPS Pools and highly recommend them. read more

I hired this company to install a pool railing. They could improve at communicating. They charged me top dollar for a used railing, I could have bought the same railing, cheaper but then they wanted more to install it. The installer was a jerk and he chipped several of my coping bricks. He didn't know what he was doing. They told me there was an additional cost for a pad but they never told me how much. The only bright spot was their paver guy, he did his best to resolve the installers' mistakes. In my opinion find a better company that cares. read more

I first used GPS Pools back in 2019 and was please so it made sense that I used them for my pool sand filter repair or upgrade to a cartridge system. In addition to repair the timer box. It stopped ticking. Initially I submit a request on their website and waited 2 or 3 days for a response either by phone, text or email. NOTHING. So I called a Male rep named either Isaac, Isaiah, Oscar or Zach answered. I advised him i have been waiting for contact but no one reached out. So he offered to take my info again via phone and pass it on so someone can discuss my pool issues and then coordinate. Well that was also 3 or 4 days ago. NOTHING I guess business is so good they don't need more of it. So my suggestion don't waste your time with them. I found a quality pool company that respond when new customers are looking for their service. read more

Jeremy came out to give a quote on my pool to be resurfaced. He was professional, respectful above all he was knowledgeable about my pool. I thought I had a leak he explained that I had an overflow valve that kept it at a certain level. Immediately, I knew I was going with GPS. not only did they start my pool within 2 weeks but the workers were respectful of my property and cleaned after themselves every day. Our pool was completed within 5days including the refill. Our pool looks beautiful. I will say Jeremy made himself present at the site and check the progress. My chlorine distributor cracked and was causing my pool to leak all over the side of my house. So I made an emergency trip to GPS Pools. When I got there, I got personal service from Joe*, a tech who obviously knows his stuff. Joe* showed me what went wrong and got me the part I needed. He took the time to take it out of the box and explain how to install it before I left. He even asked me if I had plumbers tape and silicone (which I didn't). Joe took me out to his truck and gave me a roll of tape and a tube of silicone gel to use when I screwed in the chlorine distributor. He told me just to bring it back the next day when I was done. How nice was that? Rather than charging me 15 bucks for two things I'm going to use once, he let me borrow his and trusted me to return it. The best I could do is leave them a glowing review and praise Joe* by name. read more

Had them come out to diagnose why lights didn't work in pool. Came out took money. Called a week later nothing. Called another week they said everyone had Covid and we're sorry they would send report. Never did. Called every week finally got call back. Guy was rude said a specialist was out there, he wasn't family was out of town that week and have locked gates and cameras. Then was rude and to this day never got his report of what was wrong. Had to hire another company to fix. Very unprofessional, rude and makes things up. Girl who answers the phone once was nice though. read more

My husband and I needed to have our pool resurfaced. After shopping around and reading reviews, we called GPS Pools. Glen came out to see our pools and give us his quote. After talking to several pool companies we just got such a good feeling with this company and we are so very grateful that we decided to go with GPS Pools. We told them that we only had a small window of time that it could be done. The very next week we got a call from Preston, who told us we could start the beginning of the next week. Working with Preston was wonderful. He kept us up to date the entire time and was always available for questions. Isaiah came first of the week and prepped the pool. Isaiah never stopped the entire day. He answered all our questions and was so knowledgable. The very next day a team of 6 men came . Started at 9:00 and by 2:30 the pool was done and started filling the pool with water. They did a fantastic job cleaning up, we had nothing to do after they left. May I also add that not one of those men were on their phones and not one of those men had cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. It was so nice to see. The next day Preston came and added chemicals to the pool. We are so impressed with these men and GPS Pools. We highly highly recommend this wonderful company. Our pool was done in 3 days. Had them come out and get estimate for resurfacing my pool. We had them do the resurfacing and they left a mess off of the resurfacing material all over my tile a decking. They finally got it cleaned up about a week and several trips to my house. After the resurfacing the pool developed a bad leak which they said was from the skimmer and I had them replace it. After the replaced it the pool still has a bad leak. They sent someone else out to check it again piping. But when I leave the pool off for 5 or 6 days the pool water drops to the bottom of skimmer which is about 5" and stops. I have tried several times to get a response for help but to my dismay I cannot get a response. So at this point I'm having to add water everyday and going through a lot of chemicals. i wouldn't recommend his service at all. Robert Cambensy read more

Questionable Business Practices & Poor Service... Several weeks ago I brought the Dolphin Echo Pool Vac, that I had purchased from GPS Pools for $550.00, to GPS Pools for repair. Ashley said I would receive a call in a day or two with the diagnosis. No call over the next 3 days. I had to go out-of-town. When I got back, over a week had gone by... and still no call. I finally called Ashley. She didn't come to the phone so I left a message... and was told that Ashley would call me back when she got free. No call back. I called GPS Pools 3 hours later. Ashley didn't come to the phone but some guy told me she checked out my pool vac... and it needed a new motor. And, the vac was out of warranty, so it would cost $350 to fix the vac. I said, "No Thanks". I picked up the vac and called Maytronics, the manufacturer. They explained that the motor, power supply, etc. had a two-year warranty. I shipped the vac to them on Monday... and received the repaired vac the following Saturday... No charge. Fabulous service! The repair order from the manufacturer stated... "The motor was good!" Maytronics replaced the DNI part in the Power Supply. I am a businessman who understands the importance of good communications, honesty & truth with customers. Sadly, GPS Pools has failed in all of the above qualities. There are too many good Pool Supply companies to deal with a business that isn't honest with their customers. Never will I step foot in this business again! read more

We hired GPS Pools to resurface our pool. The job was completed poorly, couldn't follow directions after we specifically told them where we wanted certain tiles to go, the grout lines started cracking weeks later. The owner is so cocky and couldn't take responsibility for his own company and blames everything on the third party vendors. You still hire them though? My center of my backyard was full of plaster and dead grass because they decided to drain the pool down the center of the yard (there were plenty more areas they couldn't have dumped the water in the property without killing the view). At the end of it all they didn't tell us what to expect or any other directions other than brush the pool everyday or buy their vacuum if we weren't going to brush the pool. I was so over it at that point that I wasn't going to give them a single penny more after we dished out $11,000 for the resurfacing, so I ordered the Nautilus on Amazon. Think twice before hiring them (sales guy is charming until you call him with questions or complaints). read more

Our pool thermostat was registering at 136 degrees, which was clearly inaccurate and an indicator something was malfunctioning. We had an iAquaLink system put in last year by GPS POOLS and they warranty their work. They sent Rob, their tech out and he identified the issue and fixed it! I hope I can change this review later but I'm at my wits end. Hire them to do resurfacing, to fix some leaks, new lights new automation and a new heater in all I spent over $12,000. First problem was there was a hole in the surface when they went to resurface they even told me it was the largest one they've ever seen happen, they did fix it and then they were supposed to fix leaks I go out to the side of the house and there was water so obviously they didn't do that correct. They came back and fixed that as well. The new automation that's supposed to be super simple is not so they sent someone over to show us how to use it and we recorded it. When they left we started up the hot tub like he showed us how and the hot tub was draining another repair that they said must have already been like that though I never had that problem before. They came out and fix that. Keep in mind I got this fixed in January and it's almost April and I still haven't been able to use my hot tub. Today I go to finally use my hot tub and relax and the Peter turns on and then it turns right back off and doesn't work. I called a few days ago and asked again to have the owner called me and no response just the salesperson telling me they can come out and fix whatever is wrong but still no call from the owner. So here I am almost April with the work done in January and still can't use my pool or spa very disappointing. I couldn't be more unhappy with this huge investment. I looked at all the reviews and did my research before hiring GPS but I feel very let down. read more

I was driving down I10, Baton Rouge behind their company truck on my way to LSU. I have a video of their company truck driving. The driver was texting and driving and was swerving between lanes. Additionally, the truck was leaking debris all along the Highway. Every single car behind the truck, including vehicles in other lanes, changed lanes and drove away from the truck because of the small chunks of pool concrete coming out of the truck at 55 mph- 60 mph. Several of the pieces pierced my windshield and almost came into my truck. Had the truck been speeding any faster, or the pieces any larger in mass, the concrete chunks would've flown like bullets into my truck. I tried to blow my horn at the driver and let him know, but he was so distracted by his phone that he was utterly oblivious to me. I called the company number and spoke to an old, decrepit lady who claimed that there's no way the pool concrete could crack a windshield. Unfortunately, they keep ignoring my calls and voicemails to make things right and help me repair my cracked windshield. Anyways, just letting everyone know what a garbage company this is. Do yourself a favor and don't work with these degenerate scumbags. read more

I hired GPS Pools couple years ago and they started off fine, over the last year I haven't been happy with their services. They bill me for full service, but forget to back flush filter, clean pump basket and front sweep the pool. I have tried to work this out and have been real patient with them over the last 6 month. The final straw was today when I received a call that they want to change me $20 more dollars a month, when they can't half the job to begin with, so I Fired them. I have had GPS pool cleaning service for several years, at my odessa house, They have changed out technicians several times. Some were good others were not reliable nor did they perform thier duties. They were sloppy and random with the date and times for thier services. I had requested they not come at night or early morning to clean my pool. They discarded my request and still did what they wanted. Also they use a paper check list and many times do NOT even clean the pool as stated ON THIER LIST. I have seen them come for less then 3 minutes to hastily service my pool and leave. I terminated thier services, because I DO NOT trust they will do what I paid for them to achieve. read more

Hired GPS to maintain my salt water pool weekly. At first they were great here like clock work every week some weeks later in week because of weather. But for the last couple of months they show up maybe 2 a month but bill me for 4 visits. And the guy is in and out in 3 minutes, wife was watching. After a ton of research, we decided to use GPS Pools to resurface and retile our pool last year, and we couldn't be happier. Jeremy was a pleasure to work with, and the tile guys were meticulous witlh the 1x1" glass tiles. They showed up on time, worked full days and even cleaned up the mess every evening (even though I told them they could leave it.) Since then, we've also used GPS to replace our gas heater, install a salt system, and upgrade our automation system. An Amazing Experience!! We contracted with another company to resurface and re-tile our pool. The other company basically abandoned us with an empty pool. I called GPS Pools on November 26th and within an hour Jeremy (the owner) contacted me and assured me his company would get the job completed asap. Jeremy did exactly what he said he would do, when he said he would do it, and for the agreed upon price. Our pool was finished and being filled back up in 5 business days.
