    So we just fired Marshall Pool service today after their Tech Anthony did his standard weekly…read moreservice and lied about brushing the walls of our pool and cleaning the filter basket (not the first time as we discovered). As a military veteran, one thing I value is integrity. I have no motive for dishonesty and I am compelled to share so others are aware. Here are the facts-- - The pool needed to be cleaner when we contacted Tia Marshall and we questioned the scale and debris on the walls which we spotted less than 3hrs after Anthony's departure. - This prompted us to question Anthony's write-up on the pool filter cartridges needing replacement (this is a 7-month-old pool). - When we complained, Tia defended him and mentions Anthony's GPS shows he was present at our address for just under 30min-- our camera footage showed him entering our pool area at 9:17 (while he was on the phone with Tia) and leaving at 9:24 just under 7min. - He did not brush the walls as he claimed nor thoroughly skim the pool or clean out the basket. She had no knowledge of whether he did this or not. - Anthony has shown up several times while on his phone and left with our pool pump in service mode 3 times. We've had to contact Tia repeatedly regarding this problem as the pool won't shutoff when in this mode-- ran for two days continuously until we caught it this 3rd time. - After this incident, we reviewed past camera footage and realized that this wasn't the first time Anthony short-changed our service-- and we discovered this for the first time yesterday and shared this with Tia. - At no point did Tia stop to consider the facts we shared and give the customer the benefit of the doubt. She was defensive from the outset. - After several back-and-forth exchanges, I asserted the pool tech was a liar based on the video footage and what my wife witnessed-- she was also watching him and home two days ago. - I also called Tia ridiculous because after all the information I shared she said I had not told her what her tech had not done. - This could've been resolved with an apology and a word with her technician. I ended service after her continued arguing.

After…read moreprocrastinating a few days I requested a quote from Flamingo which I got 12 hours later, and it was fixed a few hours after that. The total came out to around $1000 which made sense ($700 parts, $200-300 labor) and they conveniently took a card payment by phone. Eric was knowledgeable, friendly, and cleaned up after better than I would've. I'll certainly use Flamingo the next time my pool breaks.

Our luck continued when Eric punctually showed up at our house to work on our skimmer and suction side flow that wasn't working. In less than 5 minutes, not only did Eric have the issue correctly diagnosed, but he was also able to keep his customer's cost in check by not recommending needless parts and labor. What completely amazed me was that Eric was sincerely interested in pleasing us and making us smile. He did this by taking some extra steps quickly that sped up the clearing of our pool, as well as sharing tips of knowledge that he has gained over many years of satisfying customers.. some of these tips were big and some were small.. let me just tell you to ask for the wite-out tip! This was one of the most satisfying and enjoyable meetings with a service provider that we have ever had. We highly recommend contacting and using this wonderful Company for your Pool Maintenance and Service needs as we will as future needs arise.

    Update: I was contacted and we discussed all my concerns. They were quick to provide some chlorine…read moretablets and ensure that I was happy. I appreciated the communication and kindness! **************************************************** Overall happy because they kept my pool nice and clear. Communication could be much better. One visit, they removed my pool robot-vac and set it aside. The visit log just simply said "vacuum not working". It had just been working the day prior, so I took a look and it had a piece of mulch that caused it to seize up. Removed the debris, and it worked just fine. No big deal. On another visit, we noticed they did not put any chlorine tablets in the floater. It was just empty. A few days before their next visit, I put my own chlorine tablets in the floater. But when they did their weekly visit, I come home to find the floater set aside on the pool deck with NO tablets in it. My brand new tablets I had just put in the floater were just gone. The visit log said, "Need a new chlorine floater" It was an old floater so the "floor" of it fell out (but you could put it back and as long as you gently place it back in the pool, it held the tablets). I called them and left a voicemail describing how my tablets just disappeared because they decided the floater is no good. I said it would be helpful if they would at least leave 2-3 tablets for me so I can put them in a new floater. So that was annoying, and they didn't even call back. Finally, I had been planning to take over pool care on my own, so I later sent an email letting them know. I know they got the message because they didn't come, but it just would be nice to be acknowledged when customers call or email. Again, overall, they kept the pool clear, so I appreciate that much. If I could do half stars, I'd say 3.5 out of 5. Keep in mind that while they empty baskets (including the one at your pool equipment), you (or someone) still needs to clean the filter once in a while. This helps your filter last longer and do a more efficient job.

They have gone so far above and beyond for me so many times it is hard to narrow done specific examples. My pool and equipment are old and I'm cheap- it's a terrible combination. I have been so very fortunate. Ludwig, Orlando and Kenneth have saved the day for me-with a smile-more than once! You can also be this fortunate give them a call quickly and set up scheduled service. You won't regret it.

    We were loyal POOL Troopers customers for over five years -- year-round service -- and genuinely…read moreloved our experience for most of that time. Our previous technician was exceptional: professional, kind, and even brought treats and tennis balls for our dogs. We called the company more than once just to praise him. That's the kind of customer relationship that earns long-term loyalty. Unfortunately, the past few months marked a sharp decline. A recent fill-in technician was at our home for 21 minutes -- and our cameras showed she spent at least 5 of those sitting in her car. She left debris in the pool and a pool noodle blocking the drain. When we called to report it, we were told an area manager would follow up. He did call -- but the conversation felt combative from the start. He led with GPS data as though we were disputing the visit rather than the quality of it, made excuses for the drain issue, and left us feeling like we were the problem. That's not how you speak to a five-year customer raising a legitimate concern. This week our pool pump stopped working. We called POOL Troopers and were told there's a $150 diagnostic fee -- non-refundable, even if they perform the repair. My husband noted that had never been the policy in our experience and asked to speak with a supervisor. We were told the same area manager would call us back. We called another company instead. They offered a free estimate and came the same day. We're canceling our service. Not over one bad visit -- but because the response to that visit showed us that the company we trusted for five years no longer values the customers who stayed with them. That's a shame, because the people who made us loyal in the first place genuinely deserved better representation.
