So, I finally came back to NJ to get my nails done at this nailery since I had a good visit the first time. The second time around soured me to the point that I won't go back. The nail Tech Fernanda had another customer, so I had another lady did my feet. I am sorry she was horrible; she would not let my feet soak (my feet are good but just wanted them to soak to relax) then she proceeded to cut my nails and telling me not to put my foot in the water???!!! then when I did, they came back out, she took the purple and white scrub thing did the bottom of my feet, dried and nail polished. NO SOAP; NO SCRUB and on top of that,​ she put lotion on my leg and not my feet. So basically​ got a "dirty" polish change. When I enquired she looked a the nail tech beside her and all I got was "sorry." My friend who started before me, took longer because not only did she get her foot scrubbed​, but she received a washing of the foot and ended with oil and lotion on foot and leg and a massage. read more

I went here for the first time and i was satisfied with my nails they were nice and neat. I had a guy who took his time when filing to make sure they were perfect he was very patient with me when leaving to put money in the parking meter. I came in 30 min before closing and asked the owner if there was enough time for a UV GEL FILL-IN. She said yes, who's up next (to her employees- because it's run like an assembly line on rotation) and it's Tony. Tony came out mumbling something and sat to do my nails. As he's doing my manicure I notice he's kinda off routine. I have gotten my nails done plenty of times by other people and I know what it entails. I let him be to not nit pick- (maybe he has his own routine). Then as he's buffering with the machine I see it still looks like my natural nail is showing excessively at the top near the cuticle. He said "I did a full set instead of fill in." I'm confused here, not what I asked for. Then he says I'll fix it and in the area where my natural nail is showing he just paints nail polish over it, where there should've been UV gel. Then he said Emily would be doing the white line because she does a better job. As I'm leaving I notice my cuticles hadn't been cleaned. The place was closing and the owner had left already, and so did Tony while Emily was finishing my nails. This was my first time here for a pedicure. The pedicure was a little sloppy but I overlooked it. I left the place and was driving away when I realized that I didn't take my sandals that I wore i to the store. These sandals were Prada's and expensive. I phoned the store and asked if they had my sandals. I was told by the manager that they were not there. I explained that I had a pedicure and they were on the floor next to where the pedicure took place. The manager asked the girl that did the pedicure. The manager asked her and she replied that there were no sandals there. I told her that I was calling the police about this and was returning to the store. I called the police and they said to go to the store and that when I arrived call them and they would come. My husband walked into the store and asked the manager where my sandals were. She came back with them to the front of the store. These people are thieves, which is pretty scary and I would not have seen my sandals again if I didn't have the police backing. I haven't been to Jenny's nails in over a year since the pandemic. I made an appointment for 10 am. I show up with my five year old whom I never usually take to appointments but it just so happened I couldn't find a babysitter at the time. I walk in and ask if I. Could pull a chair up so my child could sit next to me. I was directed to pick up chair #7 (which was across the salon) I walk over pick it up and proceed to walk it across the salon. The female (who I assume owns the salon) yells at me that I cannot move the chair. I asked the man who directed me to move the chair where my son can sit and he points across the salon. I simply explained that I don't want my five year old across the salon by himself. I was told to leave. I think it's very rude, unprofessional and plain disgusting that this happened. If you are required to come alone to your appointment that is completely understandable but it should be addressed over the phone before said appointment. HORRIBLE!!!!!! I went here today for a gel fill in a gentleman did my nails and I'm so disgusted! The shaping of my nails looks terrible and the polish job he did is really bad, my nails don't have that finished polished look. Nail polish all on my cuticles, polish isn't evenly distributed some of the sides of my nails have no polish I'm very disappointed this was my first and last time there. This place is ok, they only have two good nail artist in this shop and they are always busy. This place ask that you make an appointment and when you make an appointment you get there and someone else is already in the chair. The owners which is a husband and wife duo are rude as hell and disrespectful. They have no type of customer service etiquette and want to speak to you however they want. I called to make an appointment and they were just plain out rude, and didn't seem like they wanted to help at all I did make it known to the owner that they were rude and that they lack good customer service, he told me to shut up and hung up on me. That is not the way to talk to people especially loyal customers. Other than that they barely have lots of colors, their nail polish is old. If you can I would stay away from them. The pedicures aren't bad but like the saying goes, ''you get what you pay for.'' It is the most basic pedicure, nothing more nothing less. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE AND OWNERS. A REAL SHAME!!! Moved to area recently had Tom do my gel nails for 3 x so far and also had pedicures. They did good job for sure. Since they do not take appointments, yesterday I went in and was told for mani it woould be 15 minutes. Tom said 20, i said I would be back, had to pay the meter etc. I did so, and walked outside rather than wait inside. Came back and Tom was just polishing client. I sat down (i came back exactly 15 minutes later). She went to dry and I got up and owners told me someone else walked in and they are next. They told me they didnt know if I was coming back. I reiterated I told them I'd be back, after paying meter etc., I went to bank next door etc. I cam back before Tom was done with client. They said can I wait - another 40 minutes? No. I didnt want to ruin there business with a scene. I left and called them - husband owner said i can't leave and have to wait. I said you never post that or mention that to anyone nor me, so how would anyone know. AND I told you i was leaving. I told him it was very rude and a horrible business choice for them as I am an excellent client (I am - and I tip very well), but even so - they lost me on principal. I am upset becuase I miss out, but I will not honor a business who is so rude to their patrons, the ones that make them a success. The owner didnt even care and had no apology even. This is not a legitimate business and when owners do not respect their clients - they do not deserve to have my business. This was my 1st YELP review. I had a poor experience with another salon in Bloomfield Center, so I asked my girl where she used to get her nails done. Within fifteen minutes, I was in Jenny's chair. I'd never done gel with acrylic, but she convinced me. I absolutely love the way my nails turned out. She's friendly, understanding, and attentive. There was a time when she was too rough with my thumb and cuticle, but because she's observant she immediately apologized and made me comfortable. In NJ, I have been unable to find a place that still does a complete manicure and pedicure without having to pay extra. This place did very well and the staff was actually very nice!! My daughter and her friend waited 1.5 hrs to get their nails done for nothing. People kept in coming in and were taken while these two 12 year old where ignored. If you're too busy, just say so, don't make kids wait for nothing in anticipation for service and then ignore them. read more

I've gone to this place three times and I will not come back. I showed them the design I wanted each time and they did not do it. I let it slide the first time and the second time it was close enough I didn't want to make a big deal. But when I came in to take off my acrylics they literally ripped off the acrylics rather than soak them. They even cut a portion of my nail and it bled. Im left with paper thin nails. I used to come here a few years ago when they were still in their old location on Broad Street near Bloomfield Avenue. I started coming here because I wanted acrylic tips with an airbrush designed french manicure. It is sometimes hard to find a place that does airbrush. The first time I ever came here, Andy did my nails and I really liked them. Jenny also did my nails and I liked how she did them the best. I had a few other nail technicians do my nails and I never liked how they came out. I would always try to request either Jenny or Andy, but they are hard to get and they don't take appointments on weekends. I came here a few times on Saturday, the place was packed and the wait time was really long. Based on the pictures, their new location looks much nicer than the old location, which was pretty much run down and not well-maintained. I put up with it because the prices were very reasonable and the place always looked clean. Like another reviewer said, they do use plastic liners in the pedicure tubs for each customer. Also as another reviewer said, I did notice that the person doing my pedicure wore latex gloves, which I had never seen anyone else do before. I always loved how my french pedicures came out and the price was so reasonable. Parking was always a challenge because the old location was right near Bloomfield Avenue and street parking was very hard to find. I think I'll give this place another try and visit their new location. $25 for a gel manicure is less than I pay now. read more

This is an update to my previous review. I have been going to Jenny Nails for about 3 years now and almost always have had a pleasurable experience. However, the last time I went, it was right before Christmas and they were very busy. I was taken rather quickly but when other customers began to come in, Jenny rushed my gel manicure and I felt they wanted to get rid of me as fast as possible so they can service other customers. The gel manicure she did for me was subpar. I like my nails very short and they know this. Jenny did not cut my nails short and when I told her I wanted them shorter, she seemed annoyed. I also think they need more staff to do the "powder gel manicures" as many clients want the powder and only a limited number of staff do the powder. I will return as this is my regular nail salon however, last visit was disappointing. read more

I visited this nail salon for the first time. The salon was clean, had a big selection of colors to choose from, and are reasonably priced. Jenny did my gel fill. It wasn't the best work but not the worst either. She didn't clean around the cuticle area and she asked me if I wanted my nails filed down or left long. I told her to leave them long and she shortened them anyway. She filed them down so much that she cut the skin that grows underneath my nail. read more

I decided to try Jenny Nails simply because of the prices. I'm familiar with Montclair Nails in Montclair but ever since I decided to get acrylics while on vacation, I couldn't continue going back there. Their prices are ridiculous especially because they moved locations so I called Jenny Nails and their prices were fair. $15 for a fill, $5 for gel top coat and $15 pedicure while still in a good location with a good atmosphere. I walked in around 3:45 on today, a Wednesday so it was pretty empty. I called right before just to make sure because I had never been there before. When I walked in there was one person getting their nails done and two people at the drying station. I got Tom and he was nice and took his sweet time, which I love. I hate going to the nail salon and feel rushed with my service. The nail salon is somewhere you want to relax and feel pampered and I felt that way here. The fill came out great! The way Tom worked on my fill was as if he was giving me a new set of acrylics. Tom was very precise and once again, took his time. At the same time I'm not sure if it would be a different story if one were to come in on a weekend. He started to reshape my nails a little bit but once he noticed my confusion he asked me if I liked it and what I thought. I just told him to clean it up but leave it at my original shape. He cared about what I had to say. He also asked me if I wanted any designs but when I declined he was nice about it and didn't try to make me get anything. The color I chose was a little light so I asked him if I could have a third coat and he said I couldn't which I didn't understand. Now for my pedicure, I liked the outcome but the process wasn't the absolute best. It was a decent pedicure but it lacked a massage which is the one thing I looked forward to when I get a pedi. My nails were thoroughly cleaned, cut, filed and scrubbed. He even cracked my toes! I just really wish that there was more lotioning and massaging on the legs and feet. I only feel that way because I use to go to a salon in Montclair where they over do everything. It's honestly a pretty good pedicure if you don't care for much massaging. The salon itself is a nice and clean salon. They had a good selection of colors but the only brand I knew was OPI, the other two I didn't know. I was sort of disappointed when I was at the drying station because I didn't see any drying oil or drying spray. Little things like that make a difference in a salon because it is convenient for us and cuts down drying time especially considering there's only 4 drying chairs. I actually ended up ruining my toes a little bit even after sitting down drying them for 25 minutes and it would've been great if they had some dry fast spray. Something that did annoy me a little bit was when I went from my nails and then to my pedi and then back to my nails for my gel top coat. It was the fact that I had to move my coat and shoes and bag back and fourth and he didn't really help me with that. Also, when I went to dry my toes I had to carry all my stuff and I had my hands full and it would've been helpful if he helped me move from one place to another. It wasn't a big deal but I thought it was worth including in this review. Overall, the pedicures are okay considering they do clean your nails up and paint them nicely. If you're looking for a deep massage on your legs and feet you won't get it here. The acrylic fill that I got turned out nicely but I only got them done earlier today, so I may be speaking too soon. Where to start, 3rd attempt at Jenny's Nails was horrible and my wait was about 5-6hrs. Went for a filling with Tom today and he told me to come back in 2 hrs because he had 3 people ahead of me so I told him I would call before coming inside. With the Meter parking I decided to sit in my car and wait plus it's extremely uncomfortable waiting inside because it's very cold and the waiting area is right by the door. Before my 2hrs was up I called and the man next to Tom answered the phone and told me I wasn't allowed to talk to Tom because he was busy and he had 2 more people and hung up before I could say another word. I decided to walk inside for Tom to tell me there were 3 more people ahead of me after I've waited 2hrs. The other nail tech which is the one that answered the phone decided to look at me while talking about me to Tom in their language. Tom is a great Nail tech but their customer service is horrible, they are very rude and do not value their customers. That was the last time Jenny's Nail will receive another dollar from my pockets. First of all when I entered I was asked how I was getting my nails done and when I said a full set of acrylics I was automatically in a chair getting my nails done by Jenny herself. Once I started getting my nails done I noticed Jenny was rushing. She proceeded to answer multiple phone calls while quickly filing my nails.When the tips were applied she did them very crooked and my right ring finger nail was applied completely crooked and off of my nail, it was TERRIBLE. Finally when she started painting my nails she noticed the nail polish was very dry and goopy after about 4 nails had already been painted. Jenny wiped the nails off with a dry paper towel and painted over them with a new polish making the nails look bumpy and poorly painted. OVERALL HATED IT. I would never go here again and I suggest you don't either!!!! EVEN MY BESTFRIEND MADE FUN OF ME FOR THE NAILS. something you never want to happen to you. read more
