So, I've had some time to reflect upon my massage. It's the first in a long time, and the time before this was the worst! I can confidently say that it was the best massage I've ever had. When filling out the intake paperwork, my first thought is " shit, where do I start?" So I only marked the big issues. Think she found them all! I didn't know that I clenched my jaw until I had my teeth cleaned recently. She spent time on my jaw muscles because that's what she found in her exploration. She found the issue in my left foot that's been bugging me for a while. I've had some massages that felt like it was the same routine for each patient. Don't be put off by the outside of the building--because inside is a rockstar massage therapist with a gentle spirit. Jenny is incredible about getting right back to you--even if you contact her a little last minute with the "help me, my neck is kinked out" email--she's busy, but she'll find time for you. She's also got edgy skills--after a couple of massages and getting to know me, she suggested that I try her jaw-releasing massage, where she puts gloves on at one point and actually releases muscles from the inside of your mouth--it's wild--but it works wonders. Jenny understands athletes! If you are a cyclist or a runner, Jenny knows exactly where to spend the most time so you get the biggest bang (read: benefit) for your buck. Do you like a firm hand? A soft touch? Jenny is very capable of administering both; just tell her what you want. She's also a great listener so as you describe your history and your needs she is taking it all in and then apples what she heard. I'm blown away by how many people do NOT do this...!
