I spoke to Max. He/she quoted me $10.00. When I went into the store, I immediately noticed a sign that stated a minimum charge of $39.+/-. When I reiterated Max's cost estimate of $10.00 to Sandra, she feigned ignorance of why Max would quote a charge. She also wanted my credit card info in advance. When I quested that, she said that it was "store policy" Smelling a rat, I departed the store disgusted.

In this day and age when many businesses are taking advantage of clients by using the excuse of "pandemic" for subpar results, I was more than astounded and deeply grateful for Mr. Tom Nigro's resolution to our dispute in the cleaning of my white leather 911 Memorial coat. Mr. Nigro was above all, professional, knowledgeable of the leather cleaning process, sympathetic to my situation, and a good businessman. Although we politely agreed to disagree, I was utterly satisfied with the resolve and will be returning to do business at Spa Garment Care and encourage others to do the same. The cleaning of the reversible fur/leather coat--reasonable; the quality on the work to replace snap hooks to standard hooks of a fur coat was impeccable, price for work was reasonable. (Picture demonstrates an overall great cleaning job of a white leather ten years old.)

We pulled up to this weirdly non-descript building, walked in, "ding"............no one. So we started looking around, among the fringed jackets, creepy puppets, and piles of moccasins.....still no one. A few minutes passed.....a tea kettle warming up on a pot belly stove started whistling...still no one. A few more minutes...in walks this old, some might say grizzled man - the Owner! - who, oddly enough, is from Memphis. This could have been the point where we were murdered. But, I'm not writing this from the other side, so we were safe. The mocs were pretty cool - as long as you could navigate the shelves, which were overflowing with goods and not particularly well organized. The pairs ranged from the simple ($29) to the kind of expensive moccasins I would buy if I was rich, hip, and in some Brooklyn-based band that was being supported by my trust fund ($100+). So I walked away with my life, a pair of cozy mocs (no tax), and a complementary highlighter/pen combo to commemorate my shopping experience. There's more that I didn't include here - but you should definitely check this place out if you're on Rte 7. and help keep this crazy place in business.

Smallish leather wallets from a brand I had never heard of were between $65 and over $100! I went to TJ Maxx in Latham and got one for $25, also genuine leather and Fossil brand.
