This is NOT Frontier Town. They bought the sign and the bear from Frontier Town but these people are dishonest thieves. I have tried to mediate and buy other items to make up the difference of what they owe me for Frontier Town books that they took then refused to pay for but they refuse to speak to me. The woman hides in the back room or refuses to answer the phone. Not only did they take books but they also ordered expensive hand tooled leather and when it came in the woman became nasty and said she didnt want it. I was warned about them and didnt listen. The guy acted like he was a huge fan and wanted to carry the books but also disappeared. These people taught me a very good lesson about trusting people! I no longer allow people to take books on consignment. They outright admitted selling them but refused to pay. Who does that? read more

I wanted a new leather riding jacket and so did my girlfriend. So we decided to take a short ride to The Leather Outlet in Lake George and look around. The selection was incredible. Literally 100's of jackets in stock and many styles to choose from. Not to mention all the other items they have in stock, from helmets, to boots, to women's earrings... I immediately found what I wanted and just grabbed and bought without trying it on. My girlfriend found one that fit her perfectly but it had a slight flaw ( I am very picky ) so we had to order hers. I didn't bother wearing my jacket until a few days later when I realized that it was too large so I went back to the store (forgot my original receipt at home) and asked if I could exchange. "Not A Problem" the girl said and helped me get one that fit me properly. A few days went by and I got the call that Linda's jacket had come in (about a week earlier than expected) and we went back and it fit her perfectly. No flaws or defects in the material or craftsmanship. Did I also mention that is hugs all the right places and shows all the right curves :) Several weeks later I went back and bought myself a nice riding vest since the full jacket is a bit warm for me in the summer months. Each and every time I've been in there, all of the employees greeted me and offered assistance when wanted. Two Thumbs Up. The worst customer service that I have ever experienced! Kevin- please hire people who actually want to work at your store when you aren't there. You have great products, and those of us who live here want to give you business, but we won't put up with being abused. I have a friend who just bought a bike and needed all new gear. He had money to spend on good quality products. I tried to bring him in last Saturday night at 7, but the store was closed despite saying otherwise online. Tonight (Saturday), we called first, and were told that you were open until 8. As soon as we walked in the door, the woman behind the counter yelled, "I'll give you 10 minutes". I said that we had called and were told that the store closed at 8. She said that she worked all day at Pizza Jerks and wanted to close early. Despite being made to feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome, we started over towards the gloves. Within 2 minutes, the woman started yelling and clapping "let's go, let's go, let's go". Everyone who was shopping in the store just walked out. It was 730. I turned to another customer who was angry and told her that the owner, Kevin wouldn't be thrilled to know that he was losing business. The women "working" there was following us out to lock the door, and she said "go ahead and call him, sunshine"?! Your ads are on the radio every day, begging people to come in and shop....when we come in we are run out?! How much business are you losing? My friend ended up getting his helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots online. All of that could have been your sale. read more

Back in 2008 my husband bought me a $250. gift certificate to buy a leather jacket. We live about 45min away. I was pregnant at the time and did not want to attempt to purchase such and expensive item until I could properly try it on for a good fit. I then lost the certificate in our move. Several times on the radio I was pleased/reassured that "THE LEATHER OUTLET" promotes the sales of there gift certificates because they NEVER expire. In 2017 I found the gift certificateBlush. My husband went over to the Leather Outlet with the gift certificate and they REFUSED to let him use it. They asked why he could not have used it sooner and they have "NO" records for that gift certificate. I then called the next day asking about gift certificates and the young girl said, " Oh yes they never expire. I explained to her the situation with my husband the day prior and then she said she would have to put someone on with more experience. An older woman got on the phone, informed me that she remembered my husband and said she had talked with the owner and he would NOT honor the certificate because it was so old, then said. "You could't have use it sooner?" I then had to explain why I had not used it immediately and then misplaced it. I also reminded her of all the radio ads where they clearly promote purchasing a gift certificate at there store because they never expire. She says my husband bought the certificate before that law was created. For many years I have listened to radio ads for THE LEATHER OUTLET with there positive tributes to Police Officers, Firemen, Woman, and promises of great costumer service and honoring there gift certificates. Although my issue is with the gift certificate and customer service, I feel now that all the other things said on these ad is a lie just to sucker the consumer into trusting the retailer.
