Awful people and place. Walked in with about 20 mins before closing to get some moccasins and without greeting us this old hag stated that we had 20 mins. My kids had drinks and we proceeded to quickly bring our purchases to the front. She told my 3 yr old and my 7 yr old you need to leave the store it's expensive here and you cannot bring drinka instead of addressing me as the adult directly then she said that you should know better than to bring f.... ING drinks into a store!!!! Actually shouting profanity instead of calmly telling us that drinks were not allowed. She used actual profanity! Imagine cursing like that in front of young kids. She stated excuse my French. Disgusting behavior from a trailer park store attendant. Please do not patronize such behavior. We left the items we were going to purchase and walked out. Appears it's a problem with the disgusting hag who owns the store who has a problem with children. read more

Brought my two year old son in with his stroller and the woman who owns the store had a problem with it. Told me we couldn't go by the shoes and had to stay by the jackets because kids throw and rip things apart. Proceeded to follow us and try to give us a sticker and told my son to stop crying cuz it upsets her dog in the back. I immediately left. Not a kid friendly place like it use to be when I was a kid! This is NOT Frontier Town. They bought the sign and the bear from Frontier Town but these people are dishonest thieves. I have tried to mediate and buy other items to make up the difference of what they owe me for Frontier Town books that they took then refused to pay for but they refuse to speak to me. The woman hides in the back room or refuses to answer the phone. Not only did they take books but they also ordered expensive hand tooled leather and when it came in the woman became nasty and said she didnt want it. I was warned about them and didnt listen. The guy acted like he was a huge fan and wanted to carry the books but also disappeared. These people taught me a very good lesson about trusting people! I no longer allow people to take books on consignment. They outright admitted selling them but refused to pay. Who does that? read more

Back in 2008 my husband bought me a $250. gift certificate to buy a leather jacket. We live about 45min away. I was pregnant at the time and did not want to attempt to purchase such and expensive item until I could properly try it on for a good fit. I then lost the certificate in our move. Several times on the radio I was pleased/reassured that "THE LEATHER OUTLET" promotes the sales of there gift certificates because they NEVER expire. In 2017 I found the gift certificateBlush. My husband went over to the Leather Outlet with the gift certificate and they REFUSED to let him use it. They asked why he could not have used it sooner and they have "NO" records for that gift certificate. I then called the next day asking about gift certificates and the young girl said, " Oh yes they never expire. I explained to her the situation with my husband the day prior and then she said she would have to put someone on with more experience. An older woman got on the phone, informed me that she remembered my husband and said she had talked with the owner and he would NOT honor the certificate because it was so old, then said. "You could't have use it sooner?" I then had to explain why I had not used it immediately and then misplaced it. I also reminded her of all the radio ads where they clearly promote purchasing a gift certificate at there store because they never expire. She says my husband bought the certificate before that law was created. For many years I have listened to radio ads for THE LEATHER OUTLET with there positive tributes to Police Officers, Firemen, Woman, and promises of great costumer service and honoring there gift certificates. Although my issue is with the gift certificate and customer service, I feel now that all the other things said on these ad is a lie just to sucker the consumer into trusting the retailer. It is fraudulent, he clearly does not stand behind his words or ads. read more

I gave this store two stars because They didn't have scrap leather (which I would have been okay with if that was the only problem), but the customer service was terrible and rude. I came in and went to the counter, where the manager and associate were, to ask a question. I ended up standing four feet away from them having a casual conversation for over a minute before they acknowledged my presence. We were literally the only three people in the building so they were not busy helping anyone, they just continued to gossip. Quite rude and unprofessional. read more
