That being said, they carry a wide variety of items that I've needed in the past. The staff is friendly, but not pushy or bothersum. They have the best and cheapest bird seed around and they have a great area that fixes your chainsaws. This past year I was having a problem with moles and the regular traps weren't doing the job.....Charlie's had in a new trap that worked great! If I have the the time, this is the hardware store I use in Wentzville.

If you're going to offer a discount do so , if you're gonna put an item on sale do so. This new hardware store is very similar in that it has a good variety of basic items that you need for your home close by without having to drive to a big box store. As a result, the prices here are a tad higher than you would pay in a big box store, but you do pay for convenience. I have visited the store twice and both times was greeted by a super helpful employee named Kevin who should receive employee of the month for his great customer service and friendly attitude. Today a cashier named Landon B., waited on me and he could learn a lot from Kevin. This store has a really nice variety of bird feeders that surprised me. I'll be back to buy more of then.

I was confused about where to find what I needed, so I politely asked a male employee for assistance. Instead of trying to understand my question, he waved me off and was dismissive. Thankfully, a female employee was much kinder and attempted to help. However, when she asked the same male employee for guidance, he again responded abruptly and simply said, "No, not here," without offering any explanation or assistance. As a customer, I left feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I understand employees can be busy, but basic courtesy and customer service go a long way. The interaction was uncomfortable enough that it left me wondering whether I was being treated differently than other customers. I hope management addresses this and reminds employees that professionalism and respect matter.

I had to fight for a partial refund. They wanted me to pay them to make a panel when I proved the associate said several times that it came with the panel. Finally got that fixed then I set up the install. The person had my correct address but used my old address for the install. I called after they never showed up and was told the contract was void since the addresses were different. Called the store bawling to the manager because I just had a baby and this is beyond stressful assured me he'd fix it and I'd get a call asap from the installation manager / team to get a new date as soon as possible. Never received a call. I called 3 days later no one is answering the phone after multiple hours I finally get someone and ask for a manager I just keep getting put on hold. Installation team said the new address is invalid and they've been trying to reach the store and no success. The staff is so unprofessional and continues to make mistakes but yet zero accountability.

As i've walked towards the front of the store to pay for my items, I noticed he was behind me. I circled back to my right and got behind him from the next aisle, My thought was to confront him and ask him.Why are you following me around the store. Before I could get to him, the manager stopped him and pulled him into the front half of the store to the left. Without a doubt, he was racial profile.
