Stopped in with a group of friends on a Tuesday evening at 7:30 PM and got our sugar fix. Appreciate that this place is 24 hours, which is good info to file away for the future ... just in case. Large variety of donuts and I selected a chocolate custard Bismarck, which was tender, fresh, creamy, and pleasantly sweet without being overly so. Great with hot coffee or milk. Location has plenty of parking directly in front of the store entrance and easy access. Small donut shop with tons of options! Dropped in to try something new. We were worried since it was later in the day that there wouldn't be as many flavors to choose from, but when we got there we quickly realized that was not the case. After a minute or so of looking at all the options, we apologized for taking so long and told the worker it was our first time there. She gave both of us a few free donut holes since it was our first visit and they were amazing. We finally decided on an apple pie donut. The donut we got was HUGE and it was so good! I popped in to this Jeff's Donuts for some quick energy after an afternoon at Kentucky Kingdom, and on display were treasures untold. After discovering them last year when I was tasked with getting donuts for my son's class celebration, I admit I often hear the siren song of Jeff's calling to me in the morning. During my first visit, I was impressed with the freshness of these donuts and their cake. I feel like some donut shops put all of their focus on the toppings at the expense of 90% of the donut. Jeff's donuts is a 24/7 donut establishment located in the Saint Mathews portion of Lousiville Kentucky in a shopping center across the street from two of the cities main hospitals and majority of the cities doctors offices. The last part is likely key in the fact that they are 24/7. You won't find many if any other donut spots in the city that stays open and stocked past 3pm. So 24/7 is a a cool perk. I wish I'd known This place existed when my youngest daughter was born a few months back. A 3am donut would of been great at the time. My wife, me and my 4 month old actually stopped in here for the first time the other day while waiting for my mother in law to finish a procedure at Baptist east down the street. It was around 6pm and we wanted a snack so we stopped in while waiting. The store is on the side of the shopping center and kinda hidden from The main busy road. It's a private parking lot and the outside has a coupe small patio tables and chairs. Toy walk in and walk to the counter to make your order. For being a 24/7 place I was surprised by the variety of choices they offered. My wife and I decided to go with a half dozen to split between us and her mom For when she got out. We got a nice variety consisting of a chocolate nut long John, a peanut butter flavor, caramel apple, tiger tail and a honey bun. All the donuts were very fresh and delicious. They also were very large donuts and bigger than most donut shops in the city. Our 4 month old even took her first bite of a donut while visiting. The service here was super friendly and prompt. The workers were helpful and polite and very personable. Overall This is a tasty place with lots of options and a cool concept of being 24/7. As many Dr appointments and visits that we will have in this area over the years I'm sure we will have plenty of opportunities to revisit. Apple fritters are my go to at any donut spot, especially a new one. Honestly? I was underwhelmed based on how my friends have been talking about this place. The apple fritter was a disappointment. Went to Jeff's donuts on Wednesday Nov. 6th, we ordered 3 topped filled donuts and got powdered sugar lemon filled thrown in a bag and threw 3 cream filled long John's on top. Long Johns chocolate was all over the bag and other donut. No boxes were made up so we thought the young man was out of boxes. The young man came in from outside to wait on us. They're fluffy and tall with a good rise. They're ridiculously sweet, but can't expect anything less from a good donut shop. There's no weird after taste that I get, unlike the donuts from the big chains. I recommend going with a classic glazed donut. Apple fritter is decent (not the best or worst I've had). We had never been and decided to get donuts for a client and ourselves. It was empty when we arrived so we had the whole place to ourselves. Pam was at front counter and helped us with our order. I asked her what the big difference was between them and competition and she told me they're donuts are made fresh daily and are the biggest. The size is definitely right to share or enjoy by yourself if you'd like. We shared the ones we got for ourselves and they definitely have a customer in me. I'll be back. I have been obsessed with Jeff's Bakery in Jeffersonville IN for years and the one and only downside was having to pay a toll to cross the bridge to Indiana... now we don't have to! Jeff's Donuts has a very large variety of donuts and they are all delicious. A huge perk is that they're open 24/7 so they are constantly making fresh donuts all day long - no need to worry about showing up to no donuts/stale ones. All donuts are $2 each (which isn't bad at all considering how huge they are). Donut holes are 25 cents each. They also have a fridge with different drinks (milks, juices, etc.). There is no perk or quantity discount for getting half dozen or dozen so keep that in mind. You can customize long johns (choice of fillings or no filling). I've never had a donut I didn't like here, but I will caution that the icing here is strong and in my opinion not necessary because the donuts stand on their own so well already. It's a small building: a counter, menu board, cooler and coffee machine and donuts, donuts for days. So many different types, toppings and flavors to choose from. We got the basics: cream filled long Johns, Apple fritters, powdered and I'll stop there because you get my drift. A dozen for $24 or half dozen for $12..math is fun. I will say I was concerned that the donuts would be a bit hard but no, they were like little pillows, so soft. They were a hit! I think we've found our spot for cravings and those last minute; Mommy, we need treats for class. To wrap up, nothing fancy, just the goods. I only gave three stars, as I'm concerned about waste (what do they do with all that goodness) and cross contamination if someone has tree nut allergies.
