If you've got a serious sweet tooth, this place might be your heaven. The iced donuts here are extremely sweet and almost overwhelmingly so in some cases. I tried the iced cherry long john and wasn't a fan. The icing had an odd bitter yet sweet flavor that didn't play well with the cream filling. It felt like the components were competing rather than complementing each other. On the flip side, the cinnamon twist was the clear standout. Light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced in flavor and it hit all the right notes without being too heavy. If I go back, I'll definitely stick with the non iced donuts. read more

Good great donut. I ate the yeast glazed as these are the base donut. If you screw up a plain yeast, then forget about it. Just phenomenal. The donut was perfect. There selection is good and being a new store location, are ramping up to get other types of donuts (I.e. Cake) One last aspect of the donuts you might miss though important is the balance between the body of the donut and the accompaniments. Neither over shadows the other and the donut is enjoyable by the donut itself and the added topping or filling. I've never had a Jeff's donut and see they're a local Louisville donut shop with stores around town. One of the best Glazed Yeast Donuts I have had. My wife who likes Apple Fritters really enjoyed hers greatly. Not #1 but a good second or 3rd for as fritters go. Her opinion, not mine. I am not the fritter connoisseur. She thinks Kings Donuts has the best Fritter. I'll definitely will be back, my problem! The donuts are on the high side for pricing. Jeff's doesn't offer balk pricing if purchasing by dozen. If they did, this would be a 5 star review. I'll revisit and look forward to trying their cake donuts in the future and will hold onto to hope for bulk pricing though I would expect even then you'll be paying a little more for fresh and good donuts than you may regularly expect $$-$$$. read more

A really good product I'm sorry they raised their prices, not really anything else to say

1 star for the poor customer service yesterday around 4pm. He kept rolling his eyes, looked at his phone, made me and my two kids feel like an inconvenience to him even though the store was empty and we took less than 2 minutes to choose our donuts and pay for them. Even my 8 year old mentioned "that guy wasn't nice" even though I didn't say a word because it's not an issue I would bring to a child's attention. 5 stars for the donuts but we will not be coming back. The other location on Breckinridge is better and the original place that started my love for Jeff's donuts has better customer service. Plenty of other really great donut stores like Hi-Five, Nords and Plehn to visit also. read more

Amazing, fresh tasting and the best doughnuts I've ever tasted. The person that was working the counter seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else but where he was but he was helpful enough. One of the best parts about JD is that they are supposedly open 24 hrs but I came in at around 5 pm on a Saturday late afternoon so I haven't been able to prove this. A lot of places say they are 24 hrs and they are (still) not 24 hr post-Covid I will need to update a review once I find out! The inside of the store was clean, quaint with simple yellow and purple decor but it was a bit darker as in meaning less light inside the restaurant than I had expected. This is fine and doesn't affect my review but I'm just remembering that vibe several months after my visit. I'm thinking they were just going with the remaining day's sunlight and saving on the electric bill and just hadn't turned on the store lights yet. read more

I don't know what all the hype is but as a donut connoisseur, they just don't do it for me. While they were one of the few local businesses that donated to the Ford workers on strike this past year(that bumped them up a star) I'm not a fan of the non-iced donuts. Customer service was good when I went but the price and just dry almost day old donuts don't do it for me. read more

Ordered from them on door dash, the delivery fee was extremely high and I paid around %70 of my original order extra to have them delivered. I paid over $20 for only 6 donuts and they got 3 of them wrong and gave me different donuts instead. When I tried to correct this I was only refunded $5.00 (less than %15 of the price I paid in total) and the business didn't do anything to try and make it right. I would've been happier if they just canceled the order instead of taking my money and giving me the wrong products. Pretty scummy of this business to take advantage of people who are already paying a premium to have to food delivered to them. I ordered 3 long John's with icing and Oreo and they sent me three long johns with chocolate chips instead. I also ordered a tiger tail and they sent me a cinnamon twist instead, I am allergic to cinnamon and they contaminated the entire 6 pack of donuts that I paid over $20 for. If I were to order a late night snack I would recommend insomnia cookies as this place clearly has no regard for customer service or even selling the products they advertise.
