The best donuts in town! Get there early because they do sell out. Donuts are fresh and flavorful. The staff is very friendly and makes great conversation. Overall highly recommend!

Stopped in for a brunch hour sweet treat and heard Nords has a fantastic reputation. This place was cleared out on a Saturday at 11:00am! I don't know what I missed but I will be back to find out. The rainbow sugar cookie is a great crumbly delight. The icing is not super sweet, didn't stain my teeth, and honestly the cookie doesn't even need it. This is a great cookie for those who hate super sweet sugar cookies and instead prefer the technique and recipe to show. Only complaint and I mean the only complaint is the interior and smell. It didn't smell like a sweet bakery. The inside is sad, considering the pretty artwork on the outside.

When we travel, I like to scout out the best don't shops, and Nord's was a must. We arrived at 10:15am on a Friday, and based on reviews I'd read, I was nervous they'd be sold out. Thankfully, we found easy street parking in the surrounding residential area--though I imagine weekends are a different story. The shop itself is small and unassuming, definitely not fancy--but that's part of the charm. What it lacks in décor, it more than makes up for in quality and price. I immediately spotted the last French fry donut (yes, that's a thing!), so we had to grab it. We also tried the toasted coconut and a chocolate long john. It was just my husband and me heading to our Old Forester tour, so we kept it light--but if we'd had more time, we would've gone for a full dozen. The donuts were that good--every bit as amazing as the hype promised. The young woman behind the counter was friendly, and the total for our three generously sized donuts? Just $3.76. Truly a hidden gem--I only wish we lived closer!

Cute little shop with wonderful donuts and sweet treats. I had a maple bar and some of them knot donut which was -- I was with some friends, and there's a cute spot to sit and eat these wonderful donuts too!

Delicious, traditional, fast-service bakery not far from UofL or L&N Stadium. Street parking available in the area. There's a little seating area in the back of the bakery. Both of our donuts were really good. Cream filled and freshly made and very fluffy. It was $2.50 for the two donuts. Be sure to come earlier if you want a full selection. On Sunday just before 11:00, pickings were slim. So arriving early gets you your best shot at the type of donut or treat you want!

Love this bakery. Owner & baker are so nice to work with & very friendly. Had a baby shower for my daughter, ordered a cake & cookies. Everything was delicious. I have ordered several times from here. Definitely will continue.

Nord's Bakery is so delicious it makes me feel like a kid again! Nords is the go to place for donuts! My favorite is the French Fry because it's a bit more surface area than the glazed donut. Hmmm, a bit more crunch covered in sugar. Be sure to get there early for the best selection. These donuts, pastries, cakes, and cookies do really taste a good as I remember when I was a child! Be sure to stop in and feel like a kid again!

Great old school, local bakery. Make sure to get there early for the best pick! Once they sell out that's it. Cookies all looked delicious and there were so many cute designs. $11 for 7 donuts and a cookie. Great deal!

Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, 8 inch round. Too tasty to get a before photo!

An assorted dozen donuts for $11!? That is pretty unreal and I see why this is a nationally regarded place.

If you visit Louisville and don't stop here for a bite to eat, I feel sorry for your taste buds and…read morebelly. All of the reviews about the Danwich are TRUE! True people! Because it was bigger than my head (ok, maybe this is a slight exaggeration but not by much) i had to disassemble it to eat it in stages. First off were the waffle fries and I found them to be tasty, crunch and fluffy in all the right spots. Once the taters were off I cut that biggie baby in 8 'Oh My Danwich' slices. Y'all, I rarely find myself at a loss for words, even my high dollar, 10 letter ones, but I can't fill this space with all the adjectives I would want in describing this sanwich that would make you want breakfast for every meal. The sausage had that savory salty pork taste that makes you happy you're not a vegetarian with an egg slice that was fluffier than my German Shepherd's downy fur. The cheese even had a nice pull with the topper being their chive aioli. And that sandwich was just the beginning because I also ordered a Strawberry Cruffin, Bourbon Peach hand pie and a raspberry Danish to have as late night snacks. The handpie didn't do it for me. The peaches lacked flavor that I found myself asking bestie if she wanted it because I was jiat going to toss in the trash after just 2 bites. The strawberry mascarpone cream in the cruffin was silky smooth and berrylicious with the croissant being flaky and fluffy. It was almost like a sweet and savory after school snack. The kind of bakery item that keeps you coming back for more. And more. And the piece de resistance was the raspberry Danish. I've lived my 61 years learning to never turn down raspberry anything and today, my raspberry research paid off. One hundred percent tenfold. Even though the glaze drizzle was super sweet, the flaky danish offset it with that light crunch but fluffy innards. Y'all, with each bite I just fell more in love. The Danish was so good that when I came to my last bite not only was I sad that it would soon be gone but I wanted to cry. Cry y'all. Over a Danish! Yes, do it. You only live once. Order the Danwich & the Danish. You won't be sorry. You can pay me in Butchertown gift cards. Or Bourbon. Hubby's brother lives across the Ohio so, next time he goes to visit them I'm going with him. Just so I can drive over here and try their lunch items and grab more danishes. The folks were super friendly, the place both clean and quiet. Which, kinda surprised me because the food is so good I couldn't understand why there weren't lines around the block. That changed the longer we dined in as folks just started roaming in. I said to my friend that the Louisville folk must get started late in the day.
