I stopped in here this morning to get a donut which is out of the ordinary for me because I do not really eat sweets or donuts. But I was in the area I was hungry I saw it sitting there said I've never been. Give a shot. I walked in small little place had some cool little designs in there. And I ordered an apple fritter. It was $1.90 I gave them the two dollars to keep the time. The apple fritter was very good I did enjoy it and it was tasty and definitely worth $1.90. I would recommend this place

Very fluffy and tasty doughnuts. Did a mix and match dozen and was happy with the flavor on all of them. We showed up at a 130pm on a Thursday and they still had a nice selection. Which is nice as most bakeries seem to only prepare in morning and then shit down once they sell out. Glad the highview area has a new donut option. Hopefully they find much success. Very tasty and would recommend

Great zoswd donuts for an affordable price. They're open till 2p. We got here close to lunch so the donuts were a tad cold but when we heated them up. Omg the best glaze oozed from the fluffy donut dough! I love how the owner makes them and he is actually from San Francisco. Lived there for 20 years. Which hold and behold why the place is called, "Golden Bridge Donuts!" I just love a good Asian made pastry.

This place is an amazing find. I ALWAYS want west coast style donuts. They're bigger and they're better. That's how they do it in Cali and THESE DONUTS ARE IT! I'M TELLIN' YOU! If you haven't been to Golden Gate Donuts yet, GET YOUR BUTT DOWN THERE! It's located off of Smyrna in a small shopping center with plenty of parking. What's nice and convenient is that the Gene Snyder is right there too, just in case you've gotta hop on the freeway to get to work. They open up at 5:30 and are currently not open on Mondays. I came this morning (a Tuesday around 6:30) and they still had a great selection, but foot traffic was consistent. I came in and took a second to glance at the menu- not complicated. It's a donut shop. I ordered an assorted dozen. They come in a surprisingly small box despite how huge the donuts are- but don't worry. They all fit perfectly. I went ahead and got (almost) one of everything they had). They had cake donuts, regular glazed donuts, chocolate glazed, sprinkles, crullers, twists, filled donuts, and donut holes! They also have larger, individually priced donuts in the case on the left hand side. They have cinnamon rolls in there as big as your head- chocolate and regular, HUUUGE bear claws (filled with either cherry or apple), and giant fritters (apple or cherry). They are super cheap, too! I think I paid like $1.50 a piece for the larger donuts. What I also thought was really cool was that the 'filled' donuts weren't actually filled yet and you could choose what you wanted inside. They had at least four different fillings and I didn't see all of them but I did see strawberry and Boston creme. They've also got a case of beverages, as many donut places do! I will DEFINITELY be back. I'd have to say my favorite thing was the chocolate glazed twist. It was soft and the chocolate was rich. I gotta be careful so I don't end up becoming a regular LOL. Thanks for an awesome first visit, Golden Gate! You made me feel right at home!

If you visit Louisville and don't stop here for a bite to eat, I feel sorry for your taste buds and…read morebelly. All of the reviews about the Danwich are TRUE! True people! Because it was bigger than my head (ok, maybe this is a slight exaggeration but not by much) i had to disassemble it to eat it in stages. First off were the waffle fries and I found them to be tasty, crunch and fluffy in all the right spots. Once the taters were off I cut that biggie baby in 8 'Oh My Danwich' slices. Y'all, I rarely find myself at a loss for words, even my high dollar, 10 letter ones, but I can't fill this space with all the adjectives I would want in describing this sanwich that would make you want breakfast for every meal. The sausage had that savory salty pork taste that makes you happy you're not a vegetarian with an egg slice that was fluffier than my German Shepherd's downy fur. The cheese even had a nice pull with the topper being their chive aioli. And that sandwich was just the beginning because I also ordered a Strawberry Cruffin, Bourbon Peach hand pie and a raspberry Danish to have as late night snacks. The handpie didn't do it for me. The peaches lacked flavor that I found myself asking bestie if she wanted it because I was jiat going to toss in the trash after just 2 bites. The strawberry mascarpone cream in the cruffin was silky smooth and berrylicious with the croissant being flaky and fluffy. It was almost like a sweet and savory after school snack. The kind of bakery item that keeps you coming back for more. And more. And the piece de resistance was the raspberry Danish. I've lived my 61 years learning to never turn down raspberry anything and today, my raspberry research paid off. One hundred percent tenfold. Even though the glaze drizzle was super sweet, the flaky danish offset it with that light crunch but fluffy innards. Y'all, with each bite I just fell more in love. The Danish was so good that when I came to my last bite not only was I sad that it would soon be gone but I wanted to cry. Cry y'all. Over a Danish! Yes, do it. You only live once. Order the Danwich & the Danish. You won't be sorry. You can pay me in Butchertown gift cards. Or Bourbon. Hubby's brother lives across the Ohio so, next time he goes to visit them I'm going with him. Just so I can drive over here and try their lunch items and grab more danishes. The folks were super friendly, the place both clean and quiet. Which, kinda surprised me because the food is so good I couldn't understand why there weren't lines around the block. That changed the longer we dined in as folks just started roaming in. I said to my friend that the Louisville folk must get started late in the day.

I came here for a simple banana latte and got way more than I expected. The amount of variety on the menu was pretty nice, looks like there's something here for most people. I had the Cobb Salad and was happy with the amount of colorful vegetables and toppings on my plate. It comes with mixed greens (glad to see more salads with mixed greens instead of romaine), roasted chicken, nice crispy bacon, a hardboiled egg, blue cheese, black olives, tomato, avocado and a good amount of dressing. It tastes very fresh and is a decent portion size, but in terms of flavor there wasn't much going on. It tastes like "greens" and that's kinda it. I don't know what the cause is, like it's seasoned but I just didn't get much flavor. Perhaps my pallet prefers stronger flavors over lighter ones, so take this with a grain of salt (figuratively, or maybe literally). If you're in the area, check em out.
