The cake donuts were fried too long so they had a crunchier outside than I prefer. Tasted more like a funnel cake than a donut. The rest of the donuts we tried were just average. Not bad, but don't feel the need to go back. read more

A quick afternoon drive by to King Donuts! We weren't sure if we'd be able to choose from many options, but they had a case full of many fresh doughnuts - glazed, chocolate glazed, cake doughnuts, apple fritters, long johns and more. I cannot skip a chocolate glazed doughnut! King's offered a thick but fluffy doughnut with plenty of chocolate glaze on top. Exactly what I wanted and fresh. Tables inside if you'd like to stay. This is the former Krispy Kreme and it's fairly sizable, with stripped down decor. Several signs on the door and at each table stating that no outside food should be brought inside. Plenty of parking in the lot shared with other businesses. read more

These donuts are so good! They taste really fresh and fluffy. They also have a good cake donut.

This was my 2nd time ordering King Donuts. The first time the long John was so warm the cream was literally melting and was not fun to eat. But this time, the donut was a little warm and the cream was set, perfect! I'm an Apple fritter fanatic and always looking for a good one. This is by far the best one I've had. Chunks of apple, golden brown, all the crispy edges. I tried the chocolate cake and it's not overly chocolate or sweet, so a good combo of both. The packaging is also better. First time it was paper boxes and the donuts were stacked on top of each other. This time it's styrofoam to-go containers, perfect. Customer service always fantastic. Happy donut shopping! read more

My family and I stopped in here when we were in the area to get some of these donuts. I myself I'm not a huge donut fan but I will try chocolate whenever now and then. My wife really enjoys their donuts my daughters of course love anything sugary so they tried it and I enjoyed it. Overall really good doughnut and I suggest you try it out read more

These fluffy pillows of deliciousness are some of the best in Louisville! Just skip the drive thru and go inside because it's really hard for them to be fast when people cannot make up their minds, but they were worth the wait. So good!! read more

Went in for some Sunday Family Brunch donuts at 12pm. The selection and freshness was so amazing. I never go in a donut shop at the time of day with any other expectation than leftovers. Not the case here, even made two fresh jelly for the wife. Great service, selection, and tasty. I dropped by for some donuts and they certainly delivered. Price was around $1 a donut and I would pay double for them. They were soft, tender and had great flavor. I've ate donuts all along the eastern us and these donuts are in my top 5. I personally favor them over Lexington's famous Spaulding which is what I always hear people raving about. read more

Very good donuts at a cheap price with friendly service. Nice variety; you can get an apple fritter if you don't want donuts. The only thing is that they sell them so fast that I guess you have to get up early to get what you want. These donuts are HUGE, FRESH, and FLUFFY. As well as very inexpensive. The staff inside was very friendly and welcoming, and I was pleased to see that there were also many options for drinks and sandwiches. I went at 4pm on a Saturday, so it was not busy. I'll have to try their morning drive thru soon. I'm crossing my fingers to see some boba tea options added soon, as the menu looks like one that would include boba tea amongst its other drink varieties. King Donuts did not disappoint! They had a great selection and everything was fresh. We had out of town guests and one person prefers danish over donuts, which Kings offers. Will never go back. They only have one person working so the line is 30 minutes long, the drive thru isn't open and the donuts are extremely too soft. They also don't offer the most basic donuts you'd usually see at a donut shop, ex no powdered, sprinkle, etc. read more
