Just came back from my appointment at Hulse Orthodontics for an orthodontist consult and all I can…read moresay is that this office is AMAZING! ********************* FIRST IMPRESSIONS: After looking at reviews on yelp, I decided to give Hulse Orthodontics a call to schedule an appointment. Right off the bat, the woman on the phone was so sweet, polite, and was able to answer all of my questions in a heartbeat. Instead of having to wait a week to schedule my appointment they had openings the same week! I ended up scheduling for 2 days out. When the day arrived, I drove to the office using google maps. It was very easy to find since the side of the building said Hulse Orthodontics. The parking lot was very spacious and had ample parking available. Right when I walked in, I was so amazed by the interior design. It was so modern, rustic, and comfortable. Basically - nothing like all the other dental offices I've been to. Instead of a dental office, I felt like I was in a new home showing. I could tell that the office was very kid friendly because there was a separate section for arcade games, what?! I walked up to the front desk and the woman already knew it was me even though it was my first time! I had already filled out the forms beforehand so I handed her those and got checked in within a minute. After about 3-5 minutes, another staff member grabbed me to go do all of my scans. This is a predominantly female staffed office FYI. Everyone was super nice and seemed to enjoy working at this office. ********************* ORTHO CONSULT: I can go on and on about my experience, but I just wanted to say that Janelle and Dr. Hulse was AMAZING during the consult. They told me the good, the bad, and what I should expect. Janelle was so knowledgeable and answered all of my teeth and insurance questions without any hesitation. Overall every staff member I met today were very kind, smart, and professional. I wish they did general dentistry here too, but unfortunately only orthodontia. I saw a lot of kid, teen, and adult patients so I know that this office is popular for all ages. Overall, I am going to recommend this office to every single person I know. The customer service here was absolutely amazing. I could have gone to a different ortho office to get my treatment for a smaller, lower price, but I am happy to pay for the customer service and informative treatment here.

I recently went back because of the permanent, inside wires became loose and had to have it reglued. I was upset that they were not transparent with their pricing. I was told a certain price over the phone and they said I could decide whether to move forward with the process or not, but when they took me in and the Orthodontist had already reviewed my mouth and the broken piece, at that point, I was charged for the consultation and could not go back. I had previously had braces with Dr. Toolson in 2015, so this time I only wanted a small tweak to my top teeth, specifically one tooth that had shifted. As an adult who has already gone through braces, I understand how important it is to wear my retainer, and I have been wearing it consistently. At my final appointment, they confirmed that my retainer fit properly before I left. Fast forward to now, and I noticed that the same tooth I originally wanted corrected has shifted quite a bit. I went back in for an appointment, and Dr. Phillips asked if my retainer had always fit the way it currently does. I told him yes. He then told me that the retainer does not fit properly on that tooth and that fixing it would require Invisalign for one month at $450, possibly two months for double the cost. After thinking about it, I called the office because I do not feel I should have to pay out of pocket to fix something that should have been addressed when my treatment ended especially since they confirmed the retainer fit before I left. Unfortunately, Dr. Phillips did not see it that way. I paid $3,750 for my top braces and retainer, and now I am left wearing a retainer that is not even correcting the tooth I originally went in to fix. That has been very disappointing.
