Dr Kieffer and his entire staff are fantastic! We moved here and were in need of a new ortho. My son had a very tricky situation (due to an accident) that needed a team consisting of an Ortho, Periodontist , Endodontist , and a Dentist that could address this particular need, and all communicate together to ensure the right treatment was being done. Dr Kieffer participates in study group that meets outside of 'office time' to go over tricky and complex cases, alongside other dedicated dental professionals in the area. The choices we made were a big success. We are now 2 yrs down the road from that initial consultation and we couldn't be happier with the results! Highly recommended!! read more

Dr. Kieffer is a great, second-generation orthodontist. His practice is using the most up-to-date technology for imaging, materials, scheduling and patient care computer systems. Dawn has been helping me as his assistant and is very nice and very experienced. I trust them both completely with my adult braces. He has many young adults and children as patients and a few of us who are there as older adults whose teeth and bite have shifted significantly over time. I am very picky and I can recommend this practice unconditionally. read more

Dr Kieffer is great and everyone that works there is friendly. We've had four kids through treatments and I've gone myself for Invisalign. Only good things to say! read more

We were referred to Dr. Kieffer by our trusted dentist for a consult a couple of years ago when we were living in Carmel Valley. He was awesome and didn't think my daughter was quite ready for braces, although we planned to return in six months. We ended up moving out of state, but this week returned for a visit and had an orthodontic emergency (bracket broke off on flight to San Diego). We stopped by Dr. Kieffer's office to see if he could trim her wire and although he was the only one there and the office was clearly not open, he welcomed us in and took great care of my girl. I offered to pay him but he wouldn't accept any payment. I thought the least I could do is leave him a review so that others can see what a great practice this is. Thank you, Dr. Kieffer, we really appreciated your help and kindness! read more

HIGHLY recommend! We looked around and visited three orthodontists before making our choice at Keiffer orthodontics. My daughter went through two stages of braces and I did Invisalign treatment. The entire staff is professional, flexible, knowledgeable and kind. Dr. Kieffer has high standards of care and made major shifts in treatment for my daughter. They made going to the orthodontist comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. I can't say enough about their genuine spirit and dedication even in the midst of challenging times such as the pandemic and personal loss. They are golden! read more

Wonderful is my best description of Dr. Kieffer and his staff. From my first visit I was impressed with the courtesy and knowledge at this dental practice. At the age of 61 getting braces was not something I expected. However, Dr. Kieffer, Carolyn RDA, Debbie RDA, Dawn RDA, Suzy RDA, Jasmine Business Manager, and Courtney Coordinator all pleasant professionals that made a very difficult decision to move forward with braces a breeze. I never had a dentist that I actually looked forward to the visits. My goals were obtained beyond my expectations and I now how a beautiful smile. Thank you Dr. Kieffer and your wonderful staff. read more

Dr. Kieffer first saw our son two years ago to check on his teeth & see what may be in store for him. I like that he waited until now when all of Aidens baby teeth have fallen out & recently got braces 2 months ago. The staff is always very welcoming. We haven't waited more than a few minutes from our original appt. time. They are always available to answer questions & we couldn't be happier. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful orthodontist right in town! read more

this is the best place to go for orthodontics, hands down. dr. kieffer and his staff will help you achieve a gorgeous smile, but more importantly, in my humble opinion, they're the best about informed consent. i got braces very late (circa 18-20 years old) and had so much crowding that i could not floss between my teeth for most of my late childhood and teen years. dr. kieffer initially recommended head gear and/or pulling teeth, both of which i was opposed to. he shifted my treatment plan so that i could keep all my teeth. when i went to college in northern california, i would drive home for appointments. he's that good. now that my child has crowding and teeth coming in crooked, i knew exactly where to take her because this office, and dr. kieffer in particular, are so great about informed consent. when my kid first came in, she was so scared but the dental staff let her take breaks, take her time, look at the tools, and hold up the mirror so she can watch, among many other things. they are so patient and kind. i feel like her healthcare is in great hands. two generations of happy patients! read more

A few years ago, I decided I wanted to make a change in my life to improve the alignment of my teeth for a better overall smile - in my 40's nonetheless! You and your staff from the beginning made me feel comfortable and provided clear guidance explaining the overall process and goals of Invisalign program. As a busy working executive, I first found it personally difficult to commit to the daily process of wearing alongside the required attachments - some days better than others, etc. To make a long story shorter, with the help of some coaching / good advice from Dr. Kieffer and Debbie, I got back on track wearing my Invisalign everyday until I completed the program this April 2019. I am grateful for my new smile and extremely pleased with the refinements that Dr. Kieffer provided working hand in hand with my local dentist, Dr. Knutzen. Thank you for making a positive change that has given me more confidence in my daily life - I receive compliments on my smile often! read more

We were referred to Dr Kieffer by our dentist and I brought my son to his practice three years ago with super uneven teeth, plus the fact that three tooth was missing! After about two years coming once a week to this fantastic, friendly environment with everybody smiling and being super helpful my son has amazing beautiful smile and I can't even believe it's the same teeth when he first walked in. Dr Kieffer is the best and he knows how to do his job in the best way, I would recommend him to everybody who needs any level orthodontist work, I know my son's was a challenge in which he did absolutely amazing. I am super thankful and happy that echoes him for the job! read more

100% recommend!! I never considered orthodontic treatment (didn't have braces as a kid) but as an adult I discovered my grinding and tooth wear was due to having a severe deep bite. Dr. Kieffer was able to fix my bite and other issues with Aligners in just a little over a year. My results are much better than I ever anticipated. The Kieffer team was such a pleasure to see during my appointments. Debbie, Carolyn, Dawn, and Suzy were gentle and explained all the procedures throughly. Jasmine and Cortney at the front desk were always friendly accommodating. Dr. Kieffer has all the latest technology including digital scanners (no more biting in impression material) and cone beam 3D x-rays. You can tell he truly cares about the overall health of his patients. He addressed underlining issues regarding my mouth/bite and wasn't just focused on straightening my front teeth. Go to Dr. Kieffer of you want treatment from a true specialist! read more

This review is long overdue. Dr Ray took on the challenge of my teeth years ago when I was 45 and did a fantastic job. After that he did a great job for our son. I should post pictures of how amazing his smile is as a result. Dr Ray and his professional and warm team then went on to improve the smiles of all three of Christopher's cousins. They are all very happy with the long impacting results. Thank You to you and your team! read more

When I first came to Dr.Kieffer at age 11, not only were my teeth aesthetically displeasing, but also physically painful. In order to fully paint the picture and describe the severity of my teeth, my classmates accurately deemed the nickname 'Snaggletooth'. Still, at age 22, my teeth are the topic of conversation. But this time, it's a good thing! Even complete strangers stop to complement me on my "Perfect" smile. I have Dr.Kieffer and his amazing staff for making such a drastic orthodontic transformation such a pleasant and beautiful experience. Dr. Kieffer and his staff are very down to earth, talented professionals. The highly personable team he has working for him make every visit relaxing and fun (not something many orthodontists can accomplish). The office is matches the vibe of the people in it- fun and relaxing. As for his work, it's no less than astounding. I never though my teeth would be perfect, but I hoped they would look reasonable. Dr Kieffer has far exceeding my expectations and has done the impossible. My teeth are picture perfect and pearly white. He is worth every cent. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Kieffer's office for the last 2.5 plus years for the purpose of putting on Invisalign on my teeth. Dr. Kieffer and his whole staff from receptionists to technicians have been great, always on time with getting me in, listens to your concerns and responds promptly, and Dr Kieffer has been available after hours a couple of times when I needed assistance. He is a perfectionist when it comes to making sure the Invisalign product and process produces the outcome that one expects in straightening out your teeth and bite. I highly recommend Dr. Kieffer and his staff if you need braces or Invisalign for your teeth. I was very pleased with my outcome. Jim M. read more

I'm a 50 something lady who decided to take the plunge with orthodontia. After consulting with Dr. Keiffer, we decided to go with Invisalign as a treatment plan. I am very pleased with the results. The entire experience was 100% positive - A+++. Thank you Dr. Keiffer and staff! read more

All 3 of my kids have been going to Dr.Keiffer for years. He is an excellent orthodontist and is always in the best interest of the patient. He did a 3d X-ray on my daughter for her teeth, and found out that she had swollen adenoids, tonsils, and wasn't breathing properly out of her nose. He referred us to an ENT who then suggested surgery to help her. He was the first dr. to realize this after years of her having sleep, speech, and breathing problems. He also looks at the whole body including the way you breath, swallow, and posture to help understand why the teeth are the way they are. I highly recommend Dr.Keiffer. Even our ENT's were impressed by his fancy X-ray and the fact that he was able to notice what was going on in my daughter's ears, nose, and throat. read more

Best orthodontist ever. We LOVE him and the WONDERFUL team that works with him. Both my kids are in braces and they trust Dr. Kieffer implicitly. We have gone to him for several years - he monitored my children's teeth and waited until the optimal time to put braces on. He didn't charge us a penny until they actually put the braces on. I highly recommend this group! read more

I had pretty bad TMJ problem and had visited many orthodontists to get consultation. I couldn't find one whom I could trust for almost 3 years. I was referred to Dr. Kieffer by my dentist when I first move to SD. He made me feel very comfortable and explained to me the treatment plan in great details. His staff was very nice and professional. I saw the change in my bite within the first 3 weeks of treatment. I just finished my treatment a month ago. Not only I have a great new smile, my TMJ symptoms are gone! Thank you, Dr. Kieffer (and everyone in the office)! read more

At 60 years old, I'm not a typical orthodontist patient. After an unsatisfactory experience with another orthodontist, I was referred to Dr. Kieffer. Besides being one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, he has impressive skill and resourcefulness, and was willing to work with my idea of cosmetic perfection. He was able to straighten my teeth using a combination of clear braces and 'aligners' where I had the least amount of discomfort for the least amount of time with the most amazing results! I was only in actual braces for 6 months. The staff are all delightful and feel like family. In fact, my adult daughter was so impressed that she is now in aligners herself! read more

All-around outstanding service and care from Kieffer Orthodontics, all staff and Dr. Kieffer included. Teeth didn't respond so well to Invisalign but Dr. Kieffer stood by me and got the results I wanted with braces in a time frame I could manage. " Both of our children are being treated by Dr. Kieffer and his team, all of whom are terrific: professional, gentle, respectful to children, positive, and encouraging. It didn't matter which technician we saw at a given appointment, all were easy to work with and remembered details about the kids' activities and school. Dr. Kieffer is precise and clear in his recommendations, and does not push unnecessary treatment. We have been comfortable with the balance of "wait and see" and immediate treatment. Front desk staff members are very friendly, accessible, and respond promptly and professionally to messages and questions. Office is immaculate, and the bright, welcoming environment is appropriate for everyone--kids to adults. We recommend this group without reservation. " read more

Please read this review!! I can not express adequately enough how grateful my family is for Dr Kieffer and his entre staff especially how caring they all are and it starts at the top with him. We have had both our sons go to Dr Kieffer with excellent care and service over the past 6 years yet that is nothing compared to how he literally saved our youngest son from hours of delay or possible missed diagnosis after he fell off his skateboard chin first and broke his jaw in 4 places. I didn't think about orthodonture right away until my son was complaining about the retainer hurting his mouth as we were driving to the ER late Thursday night 5/15. I literally was walking into the ER when Dr Kieffer called me right back after my wake up call to him and he organized the care with the hopsital, opened his office at 12:30 AM just for us, and then treated my son and sent us down to Childrens Hospital to get the special treatment my son needed. He saved us hours of confusion and aggravation to make sure our son was getting exactly what he needed and went way beyond any expectations I had when I called him. I promised I would call him with an update and he called us just as our son was getting out of surgery to check on him. Unbelievable Dr with a great staff and his repuation is known throughout San Diego Medical Community. Our Plastic Surgeon told me to tell him hello and what a grreat Orthodontist he is. We couldn't agree more and just want everyone to know who is looking for an Orthodontist that they will not find anyone better anywhere. Thank you Dr Kieffer!! read more
