I really wish steps were taken earlier to prevent my situation. My situation is back to square one with less money and my insurance depleted. I can't even get my infected tooth out of my mouth because oral surgeons want $4,500+. Not kidding. A little less than 4 months ago i came for a THIRD ROOT CANAL ON THE SAME TOOTH. This time wave technology should of fixed me up. No. After weeks and months, I'm worse off. My tooth hurts when i bite and now i have tooth infection smell leaking into my mouth. I'm really unhappy and stink. When i first came, surgery went well, I thought. My tooth immediately was infected, my mouth swelled and my face swelled. My buddies wife thought i got botox on my rightside only. I called, was prescribed antibiotics. They didn't work. The swelling went down, but i was prescribed heavier antibiotics because the infection survived. I was on antibiotics for at least a month. Still infected. My mouth smells as i type. My new dentist, who i won't go back to, sent me here. Both got their insurance money and my out of pocket.... 194.00 from here a few hundred over there. I'm responsible for my error. I am ultimately responsible for my health care. I got lazy and went with others "word". Never again. I should of Googled "is my tooth cracked" before i had THREE ROOT CANALS ON THE SAME TOOTH. It's my fault, I give myself a 1 star for my judgement. I just want others to wake up and do RESEARCH BEFORE YOU go with someones word. If i only knew my tooth was cracked and needed to be taken out, I wouldn't of wasted almost 2 years on this. Now, I literally, am thinking about Tom Hanks in Castaway removing his tooth with a skate blade and a rock! But for myself, I will have at least 5 vodka's before i do this. And if i succeed, I will most likely look like a Hills Have Eyes guy because my jaw will now have a hole in it...... My god! Again. The folks here are nice, good people. She knew exactly the right spot to inject to make me feel comfortable and pain free. She also helped me with a TMJ massage, which felt sooo good! She is also a great listener and very patient. I felt heard, understood, and cared for. The root canal experience was very smooth, efficient, and quick. Dr. Merchant made sure I was okay and I appreciated him giving me updates on what he was doing from time to time. He was very confident and I can immediately tell i'm in great hands. Also, their gentle wave makes me feel more reassured everything is all cleaned out too. If I am needing another root canal, I'm for sure coming back here no matter how far it is from where I am (i'm out of town). I called Dr. Miner's office on Monday afternoon and the doctor agreed to see me Tuesday morning for consultation and possible surgery. He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area.
