We have been patients of Dr. Klein for about ten years. He is a great dentist. Christine has been running the front office for many years and does an excellent job. His hygienist staff has turned over in the past year or so but the new ones have been very good. Our former dentist, Dr. Snow, was a nightmare. Dr. Klein's office is highly organized and runs like a swiss watch. Christine at the front desk is not only friendly but also an insurance guru and a problem solver. Any of the wonderful hygienist make a routine cleaning on time, thorough and stress free. The office is spotless and you actually see the staff wipe things down including the protective glasses they have you wear. Dr. Klein has integrity and does not order any procedures that are not necessary. My husband recently had a dental emergency : Dr. Klein saw him, diagnosed him and sent him to an endodenitst all in the same day. My husband was pain free in less than 4 hours. When I received a list of dentists participating in my new dental plan I went straight to Yelp and searched for the highest rated dentist in the area. Michael Klein's listing floated to the top and the office was approved by my insurance. Score. They got me in the very next day because of a cancellation. It had been too long since my last cleaning so I was anxious. Hanna was my excellent hygienist. Her gentle hands made the experience painless and I could definitely feel how clean she left my mouth before the final exam portion of the visit. When Dr Klein examined my mouth he checked each tooth and my gums. I had to stick out my tongue for the oral hygiene part of the exam which is uncomfortable by definition, but he was swift. I am thrilled to find Dr Klein and have zero complaints. This dental office has earned all 5 of the stars on their Yelp page. read more

Myself and my children have gone to Dr. Klein for 18 years. He and his staff are absolute professionals and trustworthy in every way. Dentists are like mechanics in that they can do work that you really don't need and can take you to the cleaners. Dr. Klein has integrity and will not do procedures that absolutely aren't necessary. He will give you the pros and cons so you can make an informed decision. Recently, my insurance changed and another local dentist told me I needed 3 implants and multiple other procedures that would have totaled $27,000! Dr. Klein advised me most of the procedures were unnecessary and he would be able to save my teeth with some crowns, saving me the huge expense and time commitment of getting implants. My insurance is changing back and I am soooo happy to be going back to him--someone who can be trusted and does excellent work. Additionally, the hygienists are all very nice and do a thorough cleaning on my teeth. The office staff is very efficient and have been so helpful whenever I have questions about my insurance coverage or upcoming appointments. If you have kids, my family has gone to Dr.Klein and his hygienists since they were toddlers. They all have had a positive experience, and now because of it have no fear of the dentist. I'm too early in my dental relationship with Dr. Klein to give a comprehensive review but my first experiences have been great and I'm ready to call him my new dentist. I was suffering a broken tooth and my current dentist had put in a temporary filling and insisted I go to a root canal specialist to determine if I needed a root canal before she would fix it. This was par for the course - the second time that she referred me to someone else which meant multiple appointments and increased costs. While I'm not the expert, I didn't feel I needed a root canal because I wasn't in any pain. I realized I need a dentist who could actually problem solve without a second opinion. Her temporary and expensive filling disappeared after a couple of days. I was terrified and went to an emergency dentist which was even scarier than the broken tooth. I felt like I was in a Tijuana hostel. There were no Covid protocols in place and the sweaty and panting dentist who appeared to be ill himself wouldn't even wear a mask. I got the heck out of there and called Dr. Klein's office. They were very busy but got me in on a cancelation. The office is pristine, the staff very professional and I felt very safe because their Covid measures were unmatched. That's important to me. Dr. Klein actually recommended a very conservative treatment which is also very important to me. He didn't want to make a problem worse than it needed to be which has happened to me in the past. This was the deciding factor to move my business to Dr. Klein. I've had far to many dentists insist there was something that needed to be drilled or more when it didn't. Dr. Klein is a dentist you can trust--he had plenty of opportunities to upsell me and didn't. I appreciate an honest doctor who is progmatic, conservative in his treatments and is fair in billing. I went to see Dr. Klein for what I thought was a loose crown on a back molar. His cheerful assistant Dina took an x-ray, then Dr. Klein examined the tooth. He said that the cement was holding the molar down well and that he didn't want to try to dislodge the molar as this could break the tooth. He recommended that if the crown came off that I could return and he could cement it back in place. While I was there he also filed down a chipped front tooth. He said putting on veneers or other cosmetic procedures can compromise a tooth and that just filing it down was the better option. It looks fine now! As they had a cancellation that afternoon, I was also able to get my teeth cleaning and new patient exam done. The teeth cleaning went fine--no pain--and I was given a thumbs-up after my exam. All in all, Dr. Klein and staff are highly professional, but friendly, and their office is well-appointed, comfortable with up-to-date equipment. I would recommend Dr. Klein to anyone who wants a good dentist. read more

I saw Dr Klein twice for pressure pain in a lower molar. Rather than thoroughly evaluate the cause, Dr Klein attributed it to "referred" pain (after a 5"exam)from an adjacent extraction. He said "you shouldn't have any pain in that tooth because you had a root canal. It's a dead tooth") 6 weeks later I find out from my oral surgeon that the molar is fractured below the gum line and is now not salvageable. If Dr Klein would have diagnosed the fracture when I first came in with the discomfort, the tooth possibly could have been saved. read more

I went to dr. Klein because of my husband had been going to him for years due to our insurance. I saw dr. Klein for about 55 seconds during the few years I was going there. Last two times I went for a teeth cleaning I was complaining that my lower back bottom molars were hurting. Can they check for cavities. No cavities came up on the X-ray. Dr. Klein was not concerned and didn't take another closer look. The hygienist, however, told me I need to double floss there suggesting I'm not flossing correctly. And also the hygienist suggested I get my wisdom teeth pulled (I have had all 4 w no problems for 40 years and not one dentist has suggested pulling them): then she suggests I go to an orthodontist to get braces after. Hmmmm....I don't see DDS behind your name. She talked WAY too much and hurt my mouth when flossing. I told her to just stop and I'll finish at home. Fast forward...4 months....my molars I was complaining about? One cracked in half and a 1/4 of it fell out! I was not about to call Dr. Klein again. Went in to a new dentist Dr. Susan Krylow, apparently I've been grinding my teeth while I sleep and I basically broke both molars on the bottom into four pieces. I had to have both of them replaced with crowns. I had two small cavities in unrelated teeth. I was fitted for a night guard. What the hell??? Dr Krylow was a little taken back when I explained to her my experience w Dr. Klein's office. Just be aware that if you need extra work, you may not get it. I feel he's lazy and needs to retire. And their parking lot SUCKS!!!! read more

Sonya, the dental hygienist I use, is very friendly and doesn't kill your mouth during a teeth cleaning. We've gotten to hear about each other's kids growing up over the years. I was a happy patient until my last appt got cancelled. I let the receptionist know that I would be running about 15 mins late and she said they were unable to take me past my appt time. I understand because I also work with patient schedules. I know there is a flow. But I also know that things happen. I had an emergency patient added on which was going to make me late. I thought I was just giving them a courtesy call. Then when I tried to find out when I could reschedule, she said they didn't have anything available until June (this was in January!). She proceeded to blame it on Covid. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I had been a loyal customer for 2.5 years. I was never late, made my appointments well in advance. I have since found another dentist. That's how much customer service means to me. And it's a shame because I really liked the doctor and the dental hygienist. read more

I've been going to Dr. Klein for about 5 years now and have been disappointed from the start. I originally chose him because of how close his office is to my house, and because of the great reviews on Yelp. But after going here twice a year for 5 years, I cannot understand how people are so positive about this place. I will agree that the office is clean, but so is every other dentist office I've ever been to. That's not a selling point, its an expectation. And I suppose I've never been told to get "unnecessary dental work" either, but again...that's normal for me. I guess I'm the first person reviewing Dr. Klein that has actually had positive experiences at other dentists before? Regardless, my biggest issue with this office is Dr. Klein himself. Year after year, I get the same one word greeting "hello" and that is it. No explanation of what he's looking at or what he sees in the X-rays, and you can forget about any "how's it going" or anything resembling a bedside manner. Even when I try to be friendly asking "how are you doing?", he simply ignores me. I honestly do not understand how anyone can claim Dr. Klein is "so nice". The man might be a dental genius for all I know, but do not expect even so much as a smile from the man. And what's worse is that you can feel his disposition trickling down to the rest of the staff. I'm sure they're all great people, but nobody seems like they want to be there, and who can blame them. i don't know, maybe I've just been spoiled by great dentists my whole life, but the people reviewing Dr. Klein sure seem to have a very low bar of what constitutes a great dentist. read more

I get my teeth cleaned here twice a year. Everybody here is very nice and a pleasure. Nobody likes going to the dentist but it doesn't have to be the worst experience. No place should be a drag nor a place to feel like a dollar sign. You wont feel that way at Dr. Klein's practice. The office is nice and comfortable, a TV to watch, magazines and it's well kept. Since I have been going here my teeth feel great, and I am happy that I am on top of it. Wow. After over two decades of my kids and me going to Dr. Klein I am done. Apparently he has too many patients to keep track of. In one year I have lost three teeth and a crown. No need to get into the nitty gritty; just trust that I've had a lot of subpar, even traumatizing, dental experiences over the past four decades. I arrived in Dr. Klein's chair with an extremely complicated, fifteen-year-long failing implant situation going on, and feeling pretty thoroughly defeated and jaded. From the get-go, Klein and his staff were exemplary. The good doc is a no-nonsense, straight-talkin' (and funny!) perfectionist who, upon learning that I have big anxiety around dental visits, made a point of checking in with me every step of the way. He communicated directly and clearly at all times. Klein's entire team went above and beyond the pale to ensure that my bridge was perfect, in spite of a lot of complexity and confusion. He and his associates made multiple international phone calls to track down information and parts (they were dealing with long-outmoded tech that hasn't been actively in use since the early 00s), and the end result was nothing less than absolute perfection. To be honest, when I felt and saw the difference, I burst into happy tears. I've tended to smile with my mouth closed my entire life. Lately, I've been grinning so much, my face hurts. Best dentist and staff ever!! I found Dr Klein through Yelp. From the get-go, the staff was super organized and got me into the office swiftly, thanks to their great call-back waiting list system. I needef a root canal with a crown. I really appreciated that the ladies at the front desk gave me the complete insurance break down prior to rendering service. There were no surprises. Dr Klein works quietly, he is gentle and I was so impressed how he used digital photographs and started shaping my crown on-screen right in front of me. Much like using Photoshop, he rendered dimension and texture, it was fascinating. No impressions, no wait time. 10 min later, the crown was in my mouth! Since then, my children have been coming for cleanings and check-ups and are just as comfortable as I was. Great service all the way!!! read more

I first started coming to Dr. Klein when he was starting out in a little office down by the Timekeeper place. He did, in fact, do his own cleaning at the time. Though short in stature, Dr. Klein is long in experience and I've been quite satisfied with his work over the years. He "owns" probably 2/3 of the work in my mouth now. His assistants are friendly and quite expert, his hygienist doesn't try to upgrade your cleaning and has a caring attitude. Was okay with the okay-ness until he put cotton in my mouth,... thing is I hate, hate, dread cotton balls and rolls (ugh, can barely type it, shudder) and they knew that, for years and years. The ladies were super respectful and knew. He knew too and decided it was 'safer' to use it whilst my crown was setting (I was a hostage). Could have used ANYTHING ELSE, a pencil, a pen, a book even. I'm actually excited to get the work done needed (and like most people, going to the dentist is at the top of my "least favorite" things to do"). Dr. Klein will never mislead a person on what work he/she needs to have done. He cares about the welfare of his patients. I went to Dr. Klein a year ago after a previous dentist tried to sell me two new fillings on teeth I had just had fixed the year prior in San Francisco. Confidence shaken, I switched to Dr. Klein. In my first cleaning, he found nothing wrong with the teeth, hence no work necessary! And recently I broke a crown, or the porcelain chipped away but the crown was in tact, and he helpfully and candidly said that the crown was in good shape and unless I was worried about the aesthetics/appearance, I didn't need to replace it. By far the best dentist and staff my wife and I have ever been to. They are always super nice and give us the best advice. Dr. Klein does not try to "sell" you something you don't need when compared to other dentists in the area. Before Dr. Klein, the last dentist I had told me I had three cavities that I needed to get filled. I went to Dr. Klein to get a second opinion and he said my teeth were fine. That was two years ago and haven't had any issues with teeth. He is passionate about taking care of his patients and is one of the friendliest dentists we've met. I have been going here since I moved to CA over 5 years ago and have no intention of stopping. This establishment is well run, spotless and all of the employees I have had the pleasure of interacting with are friendly and kind. I truly feel they have my best intention at heart and care about my well being. Their technology is top notch, you receive a bag filled with quality products at the end of your appointment and they always have great looking products on display if you're interested. That being said, they have never tried to sell me on anything which I greatly appreciate. I recommended them to a co-worker who was tired of his then dentist's office constantly trying to sell him things. After his first appointment he was raving about his experience with Dr. Klein. I have to give a special shout out to Patty, who has been my go-to since day 1. She is an absolute joy! She's very outgoing and whenever I have questions Patty goes above and beyond answering it and/or explaining my options. She's very careful and conscious of making me feel at ease and comfortable. I have been a patient for Dr Klein for over 18 years. Just recently I had an emergency pain filled Saturday & the office was closed. Dr Klein kindly put his cell on his voicemail at the office. To add to my pain I was leaving for Mexico on Sunday. He came in , gave me a prescription for a antibiotic & called the dentist to schedule a root canal for when I got back. If you're reading this and looking for a new Dentist, you can end your search here! Dr. Klein and his staff are a breath of fresh air, kindness, fun, very knowledgeable, and most importantly, honest. I'm so happy to have found them! I went to two different Dentists last year who each told me I needed fillings replaced and/or previous crowns replaced. I was under the assumption those areas of the fillings had new cavities, but my intuition didn't feel right about either. The work between the two dentists was both $3k and $9k. Fast forward to this year, after my cleaning at Dr. Klein's, I have a clean bill of health, no cavities, and no dental work needed! ! I went back yesterday for another appointment about night guards and took my statements with me from the other dentists as I was still curious. Dr. went over those areas and doubled checked my x rays, he said nothing is wrong to each of them.
