Unfortunately, my recent experience has completely changed my opinion of his practice. The temporary tooth (flipper) made for tooth #22 was poorly made, uncomfortable, and did not fit correctly. Rather than standing behind the work and making it right, Dr. Snow failed to take responsibility for correcting the problem. After more than two decades as his patient, I expected much better. What concerns me even more is the billing practices in his office. His office manager, who also handles insurance matters, provided me with an estimate that I believed was excessive. Instead of accepting it, I contacted my insurance company directly. To my surprise, my insurance carrier confirmed that my actual financial responsibility was approximately half of what I had been quoted by the office. After verifying the information directly with my insurance company, I was left with the conclusion that I had been quoted an amount that was far higher than what I actually owed. In my opinion, this reflected dishonest billing practices. Trust is essential in any healthcare relationship, and once I realized I was being asked to pay nearly twice my actual responsibility, that trust was completely destroyed. After more than 20 years as a loyal patient, I never expected to leave feeling that I had to question both the quality of the dental work and the integrity of the billing process. It is especially disappointing that Dr. Snow did not step in to address either issue. Whether he was aware of the billing practices or chose not to intervene, the responsibility ultimately rests with the practice he owns. I can no longer recommend Dr. James Snow's office. My experience with the poor-quality dental work, the lack of accountability, and what I believe to be dishonest billing practices has permanently ended a relationship that lasted more than two decades.

Here are the TOP REASONS why I really, really love Dr. Tran: 1. She's super sweet, which is great, but she's incredibly professional as well. Combine these two thing together, and you have a fantastic dentist. These words coming from someone that generally hates dentists. 2. Having my teeth done here is EASY. My appointments are always on time. They always end within the timeframe they gave me (if not earlier). When I feel like someone respects my time, I am in love. 3. Communication is great. Whether it's talking about what's happening at your appointment, or it's over email. Expect to be in the know. 4. It's PAINLESS. I recently had a crown done and it was .. the easiest thing. Dr. Tran was incredibly sensitive to any pain I might be feeling but often times I was asking "Should this hurt? It doesn't". I had the easiest experience getting a crown and everything I expected to have happen (see #3) .. happened. Wow, right? 5. Follow up. After my crown Dr Tran checked in several times to make sure I was doing well. HOW NICE RIGHT? If this woman ain't touching your teeth, you're doing something wrong. I love this place. And I'll continue to try to schedule my SD flights every six months so I can get my teeth cleaned etc. THANKS DR TRAN for being awesome! PS you get to wear cool protective eyewear when you're having your teeth done. Best time to take a selfie.

I never once felt pressured into unnecessary treatments or "high-pressure sales," which meant so much to me. Some places claim they're holistic, but don't have the full training and still recommend things not holistic. I had a situation that could have been prevented by seeing Dr Vane. I had an amalgam filling switched to a composite filling in 2017. It hurt me ever since. They weren't able to remedy the issue and a crown was recommended. The crown didn't solve the issue so then a root canal was recommended. I had not 1, but 3 different times where a dentist negligently worked on me causing me pain and thousands of dollars. In the long run, had I seen Dr vane, she could have corrected the original problem (the filling) and I never would have needed a root canal. Which if you haven't watched The Root Cause, I recommend looking it up on YouTube. Long story short, I had to get my root canal tooth extracted as the endodontist perforated my root. Now I need a $5k implant for my missing tooth. Dr Vane is so great at connecting all the dots to what could be going on our health and how it's connected to our mouth. She also found a nasal polyp which I never knew I had and was good info in trying to solve why I get sinus headaches. Check her out!

How a business can decline so rapidly is beyond me…read more (Last week in August, 2022) A crown that they had put on had broken from something I bit into. I called and they fit me in to fix it. When he was replacing the broken crown, he told me that the tooth next to it is damaged as well but they don't have enough time to fix it. I told them that I was going on a cruise for my birthday and that I'll be back when I return. So he informed me that as they've gotten busy, it's best to make an appointment. I made an appointment for when I got back. Upon my return, I wasn't feeling well and tested positive for Covid. I called them to cancel my appointment and informed that I'll call back as soon as I test negative and feel better. (Mid September 2022) Couple of weeks later, I call to make an appointment for the other tooth. The receptionist tells me that I need to come in to get checked prior to them doing anything to my tooth. As I explain that I was just there and I am calling to follow up on a particular tooth that the dentist wanted to fix. She giggles as if I'm telling her a joke and repeats that they won't work on me until I come in for an initial check up. I was completely baffled at the lack of professionalism, memory and respect for a long time patient. I was so agitated that I asked for the dentist to talk to me as I'm thinking he'll remember and be more professional. Receptionist (still giggling) says he's busy and will call me back. About 30 minutes later, he calls. Like a broken record, he repeated everything the receptionist said while I hear the receptionist giggling in the background. It was so unprofessional and quite frankly I felt completely betrayed. I initially began coming to this practice because of Tina Saw (dentist) as I felt we bonded and I liked her work and personality. But since 2020, it's been the husband. Although I preferred Tina, I kept getting him and got used to him out of necessity. The difficulty I had post Covid was the changing staff who no longer knew or recognized long time patients, the revolving receptionists who don't hear what you're saying and the severity of the decline in professionalism. I felt so betrayed that there's no way I could return. After being a long time patient, they were trying to squeeze in an extra visit to bill my insurance for an issue that they already pointed out and told me needed fixing. Few months later, I got a text to call to make an appointment which I ignored. The final nail in the coffin was when the same receptionist called me couple of weeks ago (before the end of the year for billing issues) to let me know I need to come in to get the other tooth fixed. I tell her that I'll NEVER GO BACK to that practice. She started laughing as if I told her a joke. Then says bye. Even if they change the receptionist, I wouldn't return for dental care. They squeeze in more check up visits even when the issues have been recognized and an appointment is made. This nickel and dime attitude is horrible! It's hard enough to find time for cleaning, follow ups, check ups and treatment without these additional useless check ups when we already pointed out what the issue is. I basically got punished for canceling post cruise when I had Covid. This type of pettiness is unfortunate and so unprofessional for a dental office. As going to a dentist is stressful enough, I rather go where they know how to treat a client with respect and kindness. Too many options in the area to stay with Elevated Smiles. I, my husband, my friends and nephew will never go back.
