Smiles By Design has been my dental provider since 2021. They have performed a variety of procedures for me, including implants, and I trust their experienced staff. I appreciate their ability to handle complex care, often aided by advanced technology like lasers and 360-degree imaging. The hygienists are always friendly, and the administrative staff went above and beyond to help me determine which dental plan would work best for me. If you are seeking the best in dental care, I highly recommend checking out Smiles By Design. read more

The dentistry is amazing, but even more than that, the staff is phenomenal and makes me excited to go to the dentist, whereas everyone else hates going to the dentist! I highly recommend McElroy Smiles if you want to have a beautiful smile and a beautiful experience at the dentist! read more

have always struggled with anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist. I had made a last-minute appointment with another office, but they unfortunately canceled at the last minute. Thankfully, I found Smiles by Design through Zocdoc, which made it so easy to see real reviews and book an appointment online. From the moment I walked in, Greg and the entire staff were incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. They truly put me at ease. I never once felt pressured into unnecessary treatments or "high-pressure sales," which meant so much to me. I ended up having two teeth pulled, and surprisingly, it was one of the best dental experiences I've ever had. The procedure was gentle, professional, and handled with great care. For anyone who feels anxious about dental visits like I do, I highly recommend this office. Such a positive experience from start to finish! read more

COSMETIC DENTAL BONDING GONE WRONG!!! 1 tooth = $1000+ ?!!! Greg McElroy claimed to be a cosmetic dentist when he did my tooth & said I was in good hands..... Then he did this. The materials are chipping.... It's only day 2 and I'm wearing a SmartGuard mouthguard to keep my teeth safe from damage. Bonding material was left all over my tooth. Greg McElroy actually snapped at me for pointing out when my tooth was at a point instead of straight with one side much longer than the other. The inner part of my tooth near where my front teeth meet was considerably shorter even though the tooth was longer before I went in. Insisted I was wrong every inch of the way as if it's not my face. I can only imagine what he did when he filed it down. I wish I had someone in there with me to supervise them because now I might have to keep something for life when it was meant to be temporary. Office is trying to charge me $1000. Would give negative stars if I could. Here's a photo what he did and then how my dentist cleaned it up as best as she could. read more

I've been a patient at Dr. Mac's office since I was new to California back in 2008. He found a lesion on my tongue that proved to be dangerous and has since had several surgeries. The always checks to be sure I'm clear and I'm grateful. The staff is kind, and excellent. Susan is a valuable resource for insurance information and runs a professional Operation we've become friends over the years. There's never a time where I've walked into the office where there wasn't some exciting raffle. This is my dentist office for life. read more

Money grab. Avoid these people. I was overcharged as per my insurance $610 and almost a year later I'm still trying to get my money back. It's exhausting. Susan, the office manager, is an expert at skirting and avoiding. She will gaslight you until you give up. Beware. Also, they will "find" dental work that's not needed and they take you into an office to literally close the sale. Read the one star reviews, they all say the same thing. read more

Best dentist in town. I called them for a severe tooth pain I had not expecting to get an immediate appointment but due to the severity of the pain, they were able to schedule me next day. Receptionists are all very nice and attentive and their facility is very clean and inviting. They use modern technology and really make you feel welcomed and heard by asking you how you want to approach your treatment plan and what is the best way to work for you. After going to a previous dentist and not receiving this kind of treatment, I will continue coming here. Definitely a dentist you can trust. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for over 10 years. The staff is amazing--very kind and gentle. The quality of work and service we receive is always top notch. Facilities are comfortable with added amenities for additional comfort, which is nice because I have dental anxiety ...which is no fun so I really appreciate the little extras they offer. I need all the things to ensure I'm comfortable, even just with routine cleanings. Sean is a fantastic hygienist, too! All good things and highly recommend. read more

Just had the best service and care from Dr. McElroy (now the son!!) when I had an issue with my crown/cracked molar. My goodness when I tell you I was terrified of wondering what the outcome would be, they reassured me everything would be okay and took care of my problem the same day. My molar had to be extracted and they not only took great care of me but worked with me on paying as I unfortunately do not have dental insurance. I have never been so happy leaving a dental office knowing the people inside truly do care and love their patients. My procedure took about a week to heal. Dr. McElroy gave me great instructions on how to take care of the wound and checked on me a few days later to ensure the wound was healing properly. To those terrified of dentists, DON'T be because this office will take care of you and genuinely care about your well being. I almost want to go back just to say hi. read more

Kudos to this team. Big thank you to Christina for facilitating a last minute appointment to fix my chipped tooth. Maddy was also very friendly, professional, and efficient. And huge thank you to Dr. Austin for getting me in and making my tooth look as good as new. I stopped by on my lunch break to see about scheduling a future appointment and they got me right in and had me done in 30min. Incredible! read more

Dr. Tyler McElroy and Susan Lara were absolutely fantastic during my first visit to this office. Susan went above and beyond for me to figure out what my insurance would cover and explained everything about my dental needs very clearly. I really appreciate the care they showed me. read more

Incompetent and terrible costumer service from the moment I came here. I am not sure about the good reviews as they were unable to do a simple task as to bill my insurance and just decided to charge me full price. When I brought it up they were appalled that I didn't want to pay $900 vs the $450 that i was supposed to be charged. Would not recommend. Awful service. read more

What can I say about this unbelievable practice. From the moment you walk in the door Susan Lara greets you like you are her favorite patient. Every time I go I have so much fun interacting with the team from Sean, who is the best dental hygienist in the business , to Dr. McElroy, who always cracks a joke to make you feel at ease. If you are looking for a dentist and team that is top notch and talented beyond belief look no further I have been going to the practice for 20+ years and every time I arrive Susan comes out to say hello and catch up it's like visiting an old friend and feeling welcomed into their home. I am a new patient and I really loved my entire experience here! - nicest, cleanest, high end remodeled office - high end modern equipment (from chairs to appliances to machines) - friendliest, most professional staff - handed a gift bag and water upon entering - personable, asked me about myself and my previous treatment and preferences - complimentary 3D xray - heated massage chair - tv on the ceiling and I watched tv during my cleaning - went over everything and double checked costs with me and quotes - doc and hygienist both met me and went through everything I couldn't give a higher rating it was exceptional! Only thing was first appointment was about 2-hours so I'm glad I cleared my schedule ahead of time with work. read more

I have a lot to say about this dentistry. First off I really like that they booked an appointment with me so easily and quickly. Their urgency is carefree. I discovered this place through my father in law. I had my X-rays taken and photos. They did a gum line test, and were very communicative during all processes. I was shocked that my dentist was 28 years old. But he seemed experienced. I told him my concerns and he met them head on. I do believe this is one of the nicest and most professional dentistries I have ever been to in my life. And with that, I will be coming back. I will have to say, because they excel so well here, their attention to every detail can almost create an overwhelming experience. This can be looked at in a positive or negative way. I choose to see it as positive. I have more appointments booked and I hope my dental hygiene will improve because of McElroy Smiles By Design. Thank you. read more

Absolutely love this place, the staff, the Dentists and the care I receive. I've had a bad experience with dentists in the past and they make me very feel comfortable, reassured and talk through every procedure with me! They have a coordinator that walks through billing and scheduling with you which makes things very clear. I also think they are very fair and don't try to do more work than needed! Highly recommend, best dentist I've ever been to! read more

Fantastic! I'm a severe grinder. As a result over time, my front bottom teeth were uneven, poorly gapped, and very unattractive. Dr. McElroy was able to vastly improve them. Through a series of veneers, he was able to close the gaps and replace my worn down teeth. The difference is instant and amazing! I literally felt more confident as soon as he handed me a mirror and I saw his work and artistry. He along with his assistant, Charisse, made the process comfortable and professional--which is exactly what I get every time I visit the office whether it's for a cleaning or something more intricate. I highly recommend "Doc" McElroy and his entire staff. read more

Dr.Mac and Charisse are amazing, professional, quick, caring and knowledgeable! My boyfriend went in to take care of two teeth, he hasn't been to the dentist in 8 years out if the fear of the dentist and of cost. Charisse makes you feel so at easy and is a great communicator when it comes to simplifying the procedure so we could understand. She was also super attentive to detail throughout the whole process.
