I am all about local services. Great experience. I Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere and the delicate attention to detail. I would give 5 stars except for they did not call me when I missed an appointment. Maybe they were too afraid to call me out and let me know that I flaked out. It's my responsibility to make sure I get into the dentist but if they texted me a little bit more I would get in there more often. Also MORE IMPORTANT - I had a decayed tooth with a crown. SEVRAL ATTEMPTS AT CROWN. The crown kept faling off and I felt like it needed to go. I guess Dr Nguyen is passionate about not pullin teeth but she was going to put the crown back on with out even confirming no decay or not. I was really surprised that she did not double check . So I said please double check and she refered me to a tooth puller doctor. He said OH.. that tooth needs to go! tottaly rotten. read more

Scheduling is a nightmare.Dentist last time said, "Well....I guess there's no decaaaayyy" all bummed out?!? Hygienist last time got fluoride all over my mouth like Krazy glue. Was told to scrub it off and wouldn't be charge. Had an appt - took off work for it - was reminded via multiple emails calls and texts that I had an appt and would be charged $50 if I missed it. Got call less than 90 min prior to appt it was cancelled due to a call out? Scheduled another appt online, took off work for it, got a call saying that appt time isn't available? I cancelled my cleaning appointment today when they said there would be an additional fee for the face masks and other equipment; and I am tired of seeing how you are always over charging veterans administration for veterans care. My dentist is co-ordinating my appointments with a periodontist right away along w a endodontist so that I will be released for surgery on the 17th of September. I appreciate her great work removing two crowns and will return for two more crowns after I see the Dr. Cho for deep cleaning. This is the most amazing dental office and dental experience I have ever had. I do not like going to the dentist, and this office has changed my mind! From helping me w scheduling, answering insurance questions, headphones and TVs while be worked on. A super gentle dentist that believes this does not need to be painful, to watching your tooth being created in a high tech water machine so no temporary crowns needed AND then a hand paraffin wax while you wait! After many trials and tribulations throughout San Diego, I can finally say that I have found a dentist which meets my high standards. On the outside, the office doesn't look like much, but the staff inside is amazing; every one of them was extremely knowledgeable and insanely courteous. Dr. Nguyen and her staff are wonderful. I was extremely apprehensive when I arrived for my appointment due to the location and the condition of the building exterior (it's in a run down strip mall). However, if you can get past the outdated building, everything else about her practice is superb. Dr. Nguyen's bedside manner is warm and friendly as is the rest of the staff. The space was clean and they have all the latest technology. I had to get a crown and not only did her office get me in within a couple days but they made the crown on location! I had a crown that was made and installed the same day! It was created with the CEREC machine that scans your primed tooth and creates the crown; keeping in mind the areas around said tooth so it'll fit like a glove. I am pleased with the results as I don't notice it at all (compared to the old school crown) and it feels like the real deal. Recovery time for me was like 3 days. (sensitive gums) So if you are ever in the neighborhood of obtaining a crown, get said crown made from the cutting edge of technology! Watch your bill! Terrible record keeping. Told I had a zero balance (which they stated was noted in my file) then came up with a bill charging me over a hundred dollars saying my zero balance was a mistake over a year ago! Did that twice. Went to new dentist and they refused to send my X-rays to him after several requests. Would also not send a crown I had made. Stated they wouldn't mail so if I wanted it I had to pick it up. Would NEVER recommend this office or dentist. When Dr Nguyen was told about her billing mistakes she did nothing! Found her fees extremely high as well. Yesterday I had 2 badly cracked teeth (from grinding) repaired with brand new great fitting crowns done right in the office. Left 3 hours later with beautiful crowns (no temporaries) which fit and look great. And no pain or anxiety or unnecessary waiting involved! I had a check up/ cleaning and then two crowns put in by Dr. Nancy. In general, I am very nervous about going to the dentist. The numbing, needles in the mouth, and drilling all make me very uncomfortable . Dr. Nancy checked in with me throughout the visit to make sure I was doing ok. She used different tools to make me feel more comfortable. It was one of the best visits I have had at the dentist. I was also appreciative that after my first visit the women at the front walked me through the procedures I would need, let me know how much it would cost, and gave me a copy. This gave me the opportunity to plan financially instead of getting blind sided or trying to make a decision while in the dentist chair. Overall, great experience so far! read more

Worst dentist! The ONLY thing great about this office is the staff, which go above and beyond, the dentist however, Nancy Nguyen is not someone whom you can trust . She over diagnosis and she creates a plan just to change it when you are in to do the original treatment , she adds work when you are already in the chair for work she said you needed and then "it looks like theres another crown /filling " . She is very dishonest and very rude to her staff I have witnessed her throw instruments and roll her eyes her employees, which mind you they are the only reason why people return . I would not be surprised if she loses her staff due to her horrible attitude, and dishonesty with patients. I DO NOT believe Nancy wants to help her patients she just cares about the money and adding in "custom fees" to make a crown for "lab purposes " though she has a machine to make them for her. Very impressed. Dr. Nguyen has a masterful touch with a solid supporting staff. The office is very modern to create a more relaxed, efficient and accurate experience. For example, they have a crown molding machine that produced my crown in a handful of minutes. In the past, I would be given a temporary one on top of an unnecessary return visit. This is a really shitty dental office and I would absolute stay away from them. They don't do what *you* want. They do what *they* want and do not care about their agreements with you or your health. Two days ago ... this dental office agreed to give me a simple teeth cleaning (with no x-rays) and quick consultation with their dentist. They got all my insurance and personal info over the phone. Today when I was about to go there ... I call to confirm and they tell me: "1. they are a professional dental office" "2. they will not schedule my teeth cleaning" "3. they insist on giving me x-rays" "4. they refuse to do a teeth cleaning without x-rays." Have you ever heard a dental office tell you that? I told them ... I am traveling and my x-rays were done with my dentist back home 6 months ago and my teeth are fine. They insist on giving me x-rays again and exposing me to extra unnecessary radiation. Stay away from this office ... it is really bad for your health. In my 72 years I have had several dentists. Some were pretty good, but Dr. Nancy is the best, by far. Likewise for her staff. Always smiling, always pleasant, always helpful. Dr. Nancy is never satisfied with just "good enough." It has to be right. I always am comfortable that she knows what she is doing and I never feel rushed.
