Went in for a root canal on the 1st and was so glad to have chosen him. He was super understanding about my anxiety with dental work and let me take quick breaks to breath and calm down. And he was able to do everything during the one visit. I didn't even have to come back for a second appointment. He had options for anxiety and stuff but I didn't take them, mainly because I personally like to be in control of myself during moments like that. But I liked that he had options for people who have anxiety in dental situations. He also had a tv on the ceiling and I was able to finally focus on the TV once I was calm and was able to make it through the appointment perfectly fine. I highly recommend Dr. Kim. I had a root canal done there a year ago. I have been through many dental procedures and I would say Dr. Kim is one of the most thorough. I had a very difficult tooth root and he had me come back three times to make sure it was done correctly. They just called me back for a one year check. I needed a root canal and the endodontist that comes into my regular Dentists office only comes on Mondays. The Pain was so severe that I simply could not wait so they recommended me to Dr. Kim. I read his reviews and decided it would be a good choice. I called and he was able to see me the same day. I went into the office and it was clean, the staff was friendly and I was seen quickly. Once Dr. Kim had established the tooth that needed the root canal he got started. I was impressed by the upgraded technology they had at the office. Root canals can be long and at Dr. Kim's office, they had a TV on the ceiling and they give you headphones so you don't have to listen to constant drilling. I am also unbelievably surprised with how my root canal feels today. I had it done on March 26th, it is now March 30th and I feel absolutely no pain. I felt pain for the first two days and now it has subsided. I have had two other root canals and the pain usually last for a week if not two. I am extremely happy with my results. Dr. Kim even worked late to accommodate me so that I didn't need a second appointment (I get married in 19 days) which shows his commitment. I was extremely grateful. I had to find a dentist when I was visiting San Diego over the weekend and went to North San Diego Endodontics. I'm so thankful I found Dr Kim. Dr Kim was very thorough and my pain was all cured. He explained everything really well making sure that I understood what caused my pain and what treatment was done for it. When I was sitting on the treatment seat the screen showed me X-rays of my teeth and that helped me understand what happened to my teeth. I went to see Dr. Kim yesterday for an intermittent and sometimes severe pain in my lower jaw convinced I would need a root canal. Dr. Kim performed some basic tests and sent me back not convinced that I needed a root canal. He filed my teeth down and suggested I invest in a mouth guard and follow up in two weeks. Dr. Kim and the staff at North San Diego Endodontics did a fantastic job on my root canal. I am a nervous patient, but my experience there was comfortable and as easy as could be. Everything was explained to me. I knew I was getting the best care possible. Dr. Kim is very thorough and makes sure everything is done right. The x-ray equipment and microscope viewer are better than I've seen in other offices. After getting my crown at my usual dentist, I had some discomfort with my tooth, so I went back to Dr. Kim to check if the tooth was ok. He did x-rays and assured me it was a bite issue. This place is simply amazing! Astrid is an amazing assistant. I suffer from anxiety especially when it comes to dentist visits. Astrid sensed my anxiety and immediately started to make me feel comfortable. She made sure I was calm and relaxed. The staff here is amazing and make sure you are comfortable. I went to Dr. Kim after I had to get my root canal re-done. Dr kim was very profesional and he explained to me what he would be doing.He also had my xrays right in front of me so I could see what was going on.The day of the procedure he kept asking if I was ok he made sure I was very comfortable. It honestly seems he really does care about his patients.They offer laughing gas and they also have tvs on the ceiling so you can watch tv while you are getting your procedure done. My name is Amber McGrath and In was told by my primary dentist that I need a root canal. So I was referred to Dr. Ki Wan Kim and WOW what an experience! This Dr will start a root canal on you and then after the first session make an appointment for you to return in 6 weeks to complete the root canal. This Dr KiWan Kin Of North San Diego Endodontics never told me that there was going to be a 6 week layover from the first appointment before working on my tooth. Tooth just left with a tep filling that I'm sure didn't last a week, I have a business that requires me to be in Asia for some of my time and was forced to wait to get back to America so this root canal could be completed. WHAT A BURDEN! With'in the past few years I had a CAD CAM crown on this same #14 tooth and as Dr KI Wan Kim was working on my tooth I noticed that he was Prying on my tooth after the root canal was completed. Strongly against my front Incisors teeth. I jumped and started yelling WHY ARE you placing pressure on my other teeth and pry on my #14 all along as his assistant was giggling and laughing about the pain I was having to deal with. After I QUESTIONED THIS Dr Ki Wan Kim he told me he was sorry. From there this Dr shows me a X-ray of the tooth hes been working on and after his root canal hes cracked that crown. Now he claims that i have to go back to my primary dentist to have the same crown redone and all along people in Dr. Ki Wan Kim offices are just laughing as if they just won the Lotto! read more
