The combination of these two businesses coming together was exciting, with good reason. Baja Viches has gained a reputation for its seafood masterpieces and combined with The Press's food style, we all waited in anticipation. Since the merger I've visited The Press a few times and during my visits the staff was always respectful and attentive. I always asked about their dishes and they've all been extremely knowledgeable. On one of my visits I asked if they had any healthier alternatives to the tortilla. One of the hosts recommended the Keto Surf & Turf. This was a steak and shrimp taco in a cheese shell. The taco was insanely delicious, I also ordered 2 of their pork belly tacos to go. I had planned on sharing them with the misses, but it seems they were so good, she ate them both. I for one enjoy the decor and their choice in music, one time it was reggae and another soft rock. All in all it's always a great experience and I would strongly recommend you visiting The Press.

We chatted for the better part of an hour. No rush. Fantastic space which filled up rather quickly on a Monday morning. Yep it's back by popular demand but it's now called egg in a nest. What the heck? Anyway every one ordered something different and we ate to our hearts content and had no complaints whatsoever about the food, the ambiance or the cleanliness. Chicken fried chicken dinner evaporated from his plate. The burger and onion petals seemed to have delighted the nephew. One of the ladies in our party seemed happy with her chicken strips, which were more than abundant! Another ordered a diet plate of some sort with cottage cheese and sliced tomatoes and was especially happy. A new item on the menu appealed to another. Louisiana shrimp skillet. Was flavorful, and those who tasted the nice portion of shrimp agreed that it was surprisingly delicious. The side, dishes of okra, and greens are always favorites. All of us commented on the new menu. Although we missed the old format, this one is easier to hold, and the print is bold enough that you're not needing to use your flashlight if you're older like we are. We are thankful that the menu has the old favorites, something new and that Cracker Barrel values its customers. It's such a nice thing to be able to travel and dine at any location and feel like your unfamiliar surroundings. But I wonder why is that there are so many locals who freely admit that they have never yet dined here?
