Ordering drinks was disappointing as their Mexican drinks were machine made and not home made. We had the machaca plate and the carnitas plate and the lengua plate and two carne asada tacos. Let's start with waiting too long for our food order. You know it's going to be a long wait when they give 2 drink refills before u get the food. The salsa and chips were ok if u like canned salsa. The chips were ok. The carne asada tacos were dismal. The meat was overcooked and the meat was tough! Day old? When my wife asked for a different salsa, they charged us extra! The carnitas were ok and tasty. The lengua was ok but the salsa ranchera was bland. The machaca was dry and we took it home to spice it up with eggs. The tortillas were not homemade but ok. To finish this, we won't be coming back, but it's ok for people that don't know good Mexican food. read more

This has been one of my fav's in Yuma, but lately they have been closing earlier and earlier. Last time I was there a couple weeks ago they had recently changed closing to 8pm, from 9pm. Then when I called first this past Saturday at 7:30pm to see if eight was still closing time, they informed me they had already closed! Before 7:30 on a Saturday night! This is sad, because people will blame all sort of other reasons why this restaurant ultimately goes out of business - but it is actually going to be due to the gradual reduction in convenient business hours as done by their mgmt. Wow! My husband and I loved our dinner and margaritas this Monday night. We got the Mucho Cadillacs since we were celebrating something and they were perfect AND only $14!! Great taste and size. He had two burritos (carne asada, al pastor) and I had the shrimp enchiladas with verde salsa. Neither salsa was hot which was nice and the verde had great flavor. Our booth was nice, plenty of other seating options too. We were sat by a new staff member, so after our drinks came out another staff member came out to check that she verified our IDs and then took our orders. She was friendly and attentive. First time here last night and we loved it. We had the menudo and it was one of the best I've had. I had amazing service by everyone from the hostess to our waiter. The place was super cute and clean. I'd like to say im so sorry because yell says they close at 9 but they actually close at 8 and we were there until 8:30 and I feel terrible. Walked in on a Saturday evening around 4:30 not busy had to wait 5 minutes for the hostess to clean off a table which was fine, got sat and watched 3 other couples get sat watched those people get drinks and chips and nobody ever came to our table to serve us. So we got up and left. Told the hostess that we were leaving because of no service and she could care less. We went to burgers and beer and got great service with a smile. read more

Visited 2/20/2024 Nice little local favorite Mexican Restaurant. Nice ambience lots of inside seating. Service was friendly by a staff that looked like they have been there for many years. Food was good from what we tried. The Goat Birria was rich in flavor and generous in serving size. The Beef Chimichanga had a fantastic Shredded Beef flavored. The Beef Flantas were also excellent. The good was the service. The bad was the food. We dined at the crossover between breakfast and lunch. Should've gotten there earlier as their breakfast fare never disappoints. My chicken enchiladas were horrible. As though they subbed in chicken salad as a filling vice real fresh cooked chicken. Really disappointed. The decor takes you right to Mexico, the aroma is incredible, the service is nice and super efficient... The food was so delicious. I tried mi Rancho twice years ago and it was fine. I tried it again recently and will not be returning. The rice tastes like the kind that comes from a commercial bag and is warmed in water. The beans taste like the dehydrated refried beans that you just add water. Both plates my group orders had little to no texture and the tacos had a very off flavor like they were freezer burnt. The temperature of the food itself was also odd as if part was either microwaved and plated then placed in the over to warm together as part of my plate had scolding cheese inside and the outer was room temperature. The decor is really dated and needs an update. The parking is a nightmare during rush. The staff are cordial at best. The food comes out fast which is why I suspect is pre cooked but not certain by any means. read more

Chicken was bland and unspiced. Only received two tortillas but they were large. No sour cream, guac, or salsa. Had to ask for this. Server said he could only give me a small amount or he would have to charge us more. He returned with two very small plastic cups. Wife said her enchiladas were good so upped the review to three stars. All in all, nothing very special except the salsa. Service and food is excellent! It became our go to Mexican restaurant while we were staying in Yuma. I'm going to miss it. I'm super picky with Mexican food. The salsa was a little hot, which made it really good (it was not too hot to enjoy). My husband loved the chicharrons (so did I!) and their chimichanga is also amazing. I highly recommend this place. In Yuma for work this week so we checked out Mi Rancho Mexican restaurant and it was great. If you enjoy traditional authentic Mexican food then you'll like this spot. I had the Beef birria and the chunks of beef were large and fork-tender. Flavor was amazing and there was just a hint of clove and oregano. I finished every drop. Served with a tray of lime wedges, chopped onion and cilantro. Also came with rice and authentic refried beans, and a side of tortillas. The chips were warm and probably made there (?) the salsa was delicious and fresh, and the service was efficient and attentive. Prices were below what I would expect to pay somewhere else, but the food was superior. I will return next time I'm in Yuma read more

No still wrong, how about $20? Server said, sorry it's been a long day and charges us $24. Fine we paid $24 but we won't be back. It felt like they were being deceitful on purpose. Now about our food ... Our meals were ok but nothing to brag about. We got a senior meal with 2 beef enchiladas ($12.99) and an ala carte folded taco and cheese enchiladas. We were surprised at the presentation of our meals. They looked thrown together and sloppy. The beef had no flavor and was tough. No lettuce in the taco, it was dressed like a street taco and deep fried. To many competing Mexican restaurants in Yuma that are outstanding with food, service and integrity. read more

This is our go to place in Yuma for good food. It's small and friendly. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding.

I loved the vibe of this place with all the decorations, bright colors, flowers, and of course a few TVs to catch the game. The food was outstanding in my opinion. I had the combo plate with a taco, enchilada, and a tamales which were all delicious. It was served with rice and beans and they were great! My dining mates both got fajitas and I heard no complaints. Our service here was great! When we needed extra tortillas for the fajitas it was no problem, quick, and they came out hot. Our waitress was a gem and recommended refilling our chips after our food came out so one we didn't fill up on chips and dip, and two so that we could dip into our beans - YUM! Fairly priced for the portions in my opinions and the drinks were deadly! Highly recommend the horchata and personally I liked the Strawberry margarita over the lime for its creaminess. Before I brag on the delicious breakfast I had let me get one thing out of the way.... The ladies bathroom while clean is tiny! Seriously tiny. Smaller waste baskets might be beneficial. There is no room for a mom to supervise a young child who is learning! Ok let's get past this annoyance and onto the breakfast I had! Mi Rancho has been beckoning me for months! The small Brightly painted exterior and the steady stream of customers got my attention! When I arrived the bright yellow draperies with chili pepper valances were so happy with the morning sun filtering through! Mi Rancho has been around for a good amount of time! I would love to know it's history and if it's original family are still connected to this place. Machaca con Huevos and coffee arrived with a packet of warm corn tortillas. The Frijoles had good flavor, along side a serving of potatoes and peppers which I would have liked to have been a little seared. The nice chunks of Machaca were plentiful. Once I'd cleaned my plate I ordered a churro. It arrived with an abundant sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. It was tough, difficult to chew. One chewy churro will NOT keep me from coming back! This was not great. 3 of us, $80+ for 3 dinners, 1 margarita & 1 kids drink. - Hits (good): Service - Exceptional - great attentiveness. Pretty inside, comfortable chairs. Quantity of food. Salsa had flavor, although no "heat" - with a few jalapenos it would have been outstanding. - Misses (not good): Margarita - bleh. Lemon/Lime koolaid oversweet with no hint of Tequila. Sickenly sweet. Really? - ugh. Stale, hard chips with salsa they could serve at an old folks home - nothing had any heat. Basically gazpacho with cilantro. Camarones Mojo de Ajo. Our favorite dish in other restaurants, but not here. Shrimp boiled in watered down butter/garlic juice with no other seasoning. pale & bland. A little char on the shrimp would have improved it tremendously. Flour tortillas were tough. Tough! Refries were basic canned quality. Rice was just meh. I could have made this at home just as meh, but we eat out to find food that we can't make at home in 5 minutes. I would pass on this restaurant when looking for Mexican/Tex Mex/whatever Latino kind of food. I've had way better in Washington State of all places. read more

I have never had any issues with Mi Rancho, until yesterday. However, I will give them another chance. We called in an order, picked it up and brought home. (We live a long way from the restaurant). When we opened it we realized one of our orders was completely wrong. One order was missing part of the dinner, and there was no salsa (when we specifically asked for it). When we called to let the restaurant know, it was like "oh well, sucks for you". I will come ONE MORE TIME. Not sure what the hell is happening to customer service but IT SUCKS! DO BETTER! read more

This place was recommended by a local and didn't disappoint. I had 2 beef tacos and that was enough - large portions of meat and toppings. I did get a side of guacamole to put on and it was seasoned and had tomatoes and onions in it which I like. Chips and salsa kept coming, salsa was mild but flavorful. Ordered pico and while it was a smaller portion it was really good and had more heat. Will definitely come back and try different dishes. Also our waiter Christian was awesome read more
