I wanted Birria tacos and decided to give this place a try. It was a bit away from my hotel (15 min drive) so I hopped it would be good. I got the sampler, 2 tacos, a quesabirria taco and come thing that looked more like a birria tostada. It came out fast k my about a 5 min wait become birria is all they offer on the menu. Don't go in looking for any beans rice or other items, ALL BIRRIA!! Got back to my hotel and have a taco a try. It was good but lacked flavor even with the consume. Went for the quesabirria taco and found it to be better. I think the cheese helped out. I saved the other taco and tostada for the morning. I tired to warm them up for breakfast but they did. It warm well so I ended up throwing them out. Not a next day food. The taco shell (corn tortillas) fell apart and again the meat did not have very strong flavoring. It was very bland. I would stick to the items with cheese on them. read more

Lunch of a sampler platter plus a mediocre agua fresca came to over $23, which to me is a bit pricey. The birria is ok, and while the tray of salsa & veggies is a nice accompaniment, there's not a lot of opportunity to use those goodies with the wet, heavy tacos in the sampler. Vampiros, the cup of birria, or birria ramen would be a much better vehicle for all the fixins. Service was friendly & the interior is sharp and orderly, though there were a few unbussed tables during my visit. I'll give this place another try on a future trip through Yuma. read more

I found this place when we drove through Yuma. There weren't many people. We walked in and ordered right away. The place was fairly clean. There were indoor and outdoor seatings. We ordered birria ramen, birria quesadillas, a birria queso taco, and a Vampiro. They were all so tasty and decent portion size. The price was reasonable. It's a good place for a quick and yummy meal at a reasonable price. read more

I had a good experience here. The food was great even the menu is small. They bring a tray with two salsas, cabbage, pickled red onions and chips. The salsa was delicious and very hot, which I like. My mouth was on fire and there are two cures for that. Eat more and get a margarita. The margarita was great and lower in price than most places in town read more

It is rare that a place impresses me, but this place was good. It is a very limited menu, they basically serve one meat in 8-10 different ways. We had the sampler which was 2 tacos, 1 quesotaco, 1 other thing I can't remember the name but it was basically the meat with cheese in between to corn tortillas. The service was friendly; however not very knowledgable as they did not know what gluten was. I was just hoping they didn't use any flour in their corn tortillas, which would be highly unusually. They do have one item that uses flour tortillas and one that uses a torta. The meat was well seasoned and moist. The prices are extremely reasonable. If I were passing through, I would definitely eat here again! read more

The best birria tacos hands down. Coming from Los Angeles, we have a grip of places to get some bomb quesabirria tacos but in Yuma?!?!?! Like wow, we stopped by on Thanksgiving to feed the whole family before dinner and wow, just wow. We ordered 2 of the party trays (20 tacos per tray) with quesabirria and goodness gracious were they so quick. Crispy shell with some of the most flavorful meat had us wanting to skip dinner and go back for more. They have the party trays ready in under 15 minutes with all the sides. read more

Awesome food! All birria dishes! We had the quesabirria tacos and vampiric. They gave us 6 bowls with verde, a hot sauce I've seen other places call Diablo, onion, pickled onion, cilantro and cabbage. You need to get a bowl of consommé to go with the birria. It's $2 for a 12 or 16 ounce cup (I'm not good at guesstimating) and this stuff is awesome! Some of the best birria and consommé we've had. It's too bad Yuma is too too far away from where we live! Otherwise we'd go back! Who knows? Maybe we will find a way! PS The staff was friendly and helpful! Their shirts were printed on the back, "Work Hard. Be nice. Eat tacos". That's a good motto! read more

Alright so, I'm just slow because I walked in hoping for asada tacos and a birria taco. I walk in, and shortly realize, it's birria only. I almost walked out because it just wasn't what I was solely craving. However, I'm a big back, and decided to get a birria taco with cheese to go. I just got back to my room and opened this bad boy up. When I tell you that this is the best birria I've ever had, I'm not exaggerating. I will be going back again! Went down to the restaurant and they were very nice, accommodating and fast to remake the order. Even adding a fourth taco for the inconvenience. It honestly doesn't mess with my experience with them as I know they'll take care of it, me and YOU #trust

At first-time of being there, I wasn't sure what to think of the service. The woman seemed so unhappy, (Mean) kinda scary not knowing what to expect at first. After a few more times there one knows, she's waiting for you to order and she's hoping to answer any questions about the menu or something about the huge variety of donuts displayed. Very Proud Woman. Now she has help and is more relaxed when I do see her. Still The Best. Thanks Guys. I'll be back

The food was very fresh and cooked to order. The salsas they have available in the restaurant are also pretty damn good. The decor in the restaurant was modern and this location is well-kept and clean, which is always a plus. Lastly, the staff were absolutely amazing. Very helpful and just as friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is questioning whether or not trying it out. Two thumbs and two big toes waaaay up for Burros and Fries! Happy eating, my foodies!

Once inside, we noticed the place well maintained and welcoming. It resembled more of a fast food chain than your topical Mexican restaurant though. The menu offers a variety of meat choices while keeping it simple. The kids went with their birria street tacos, my wofe went with a California burro while I kept it simple ordering a carne asada burro. The kids also ordered plain fries. We were shocked how well everything tasted! Their birria was on point. The prices are a bit on the higher end but the flavor is great. This will definitely be a new place we stop to eat at.

Instead, I got a greasy, salty mess and some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Staff clearly didn't care. When I raised my concerns, the person in charge laughed and refused a refund. That tells you everything about how they treat customers. This place doesn't deserve your time or your money. I won't be back--and I don't recommend anyone else go either. --Jordan

Nov, 2025. Yuma, AZ. My husband and I were traveling between Palm Springs, CA and Tucson, AZ, and…read morewe decided to eat lunch in Yuma as this was roughly the half-way point on our journey. Given the proximity of Yuma to Mexico, we decided that we wanted to eat "authentic" Mexican food. We then turned to Yelp to identify Mexican restaurants with good reviews and in close proximity to I-8, which is what brought us to Tacos Mi Rancho. The restaurant was easy to find, but every single parking space was already taken; we were able to park on the adjacent side street for free and without incident. The restaurant was busy but there were a few small tables for two available. We were greeted promptly by our friendly waitress, and we were given menus and she took our drink orders. Another server immediately brought a bowl of tortilla chips and tasty salsa (gratis). My husband and I both ordered from the "Senior Citizen Portions" menu for those aged 62 Years and Older. All entrees include beans, rice, and salad for $12.50. (Note that the entrees that we selected, as well as some other menu offerings and pozole, are on special on Friday's, the day that we visited. They were $10.99 each). My husband ordered #11, two chicken enchiladas, while I got the #12, one chili relleno/one rolled taco. I also got a horchata (a sweet and creamy non-alcoholic beverage made primarily from rice, cinnamon, and vanilla), which was served in a huge glass with ice; no refills ($3.99). We split our entrees, and all of the food was well-portioned and tasty. We felt that the meals were a good value. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that the tastes were similar to those at our local Mexican restaurant back home in Virginia. The restaurant is in an old, nondescript building, but is tastefully decorated with a Mexican theme. It was clean, and workers wiped down the tables immediately after patrons left. One pet peeve was that the final bill that was given to us included only the total, so it was difficult to know whether it was correct or not. The total was $28.67, before taxes. We were able to reproduce this total as: 2 entrees at $10.99 each + 1 horchata ($3.99) + Yuma and Arizona taxes ($2.70, @ 10.41%). Overall rating: 4.5, rounded up to 5.0.
