I think, IMHO, that La Casa Deli has the best salsa in Yuma. Now that's just my opinion. And the reason is that is not too hot, not too mild, always fresh and tastes like salsa. Not salt. Most people go to Mr.Gs or Chilli Pepper for their bean and cheese but my go to for the past 10+ years has been Casa Deli. The bean and cheese enchilada style is the cheesiest, tastiest burrito in Yuma. Can never go wrong. We went around 10:30am on a Monday and it was a little busy so service was a little slower than usual but nothing bad. The staff are always accommodating. The prices are reasonable though once a few months ago I was charged a whole dollar for a small side of green onion. Maybe it was a one off time since I've never had that happen in the 10+ years I've been going. My family usually gets the breakfast plates, menudo and pozole. No complaints. The restaurant is clean with plenty of parking. It's nice to see them grow from their precious location. Very clean. read more

La Casa Deli is widely known for their award-winning menudo. They offer both red and white menudo and always pair it with a toasted roll. I wanted to change it up and asked the hostess what she recommended. She recommended the Deli Breakfast which came with two pancakes, eggs, two links, two bacon strips, and a side of hashbrowns. I'm currently on assignment in Yuma and did a quick google search for menudo. I was surprised that La Casa Deli has both red and white menudo!!! Great taste! not only do they have a great atmosphere, clean and welcoming, friendly staff and GREAT food for an awesome price ($10-15 for a meal and many options lower than that like a bean and cheese burrito for ~$2), they CARE. Tamales and Hashbrowns for breakfast? Yep, that's how I roll. While the tamales here are smaller they so serve two which restores my confidence! The filling and the masa were very good, seeing a strip of green pepper amid the shredded meat was a happy surprise! The red/ orange sauce served over the tamales was sadly tepid. Barely body temperature which is a bit of a concern. The Hashbrowns were as one would expect. The recommendation of a fellow patron to return to enjoy the dishes with tongue? Best menudo and pozole in town. Cures hangovers like no other! Large amount for what you pay.

Returned two years later and had to go back for their Menudo (red), as noted in my previous review (below). It was loaded like before and tasted fantastic! It is one of the best I have ever eaten, anywhere! Went a second day on this latest trip and had a breakfast burrito and rolled tacos. Not bad at all, but not great either. Came to Yuma this weekend to watch our grandson play football and found this gem of a Mexican food restaurant. I am always looking for great menudo for my wife so we stopped here based off of reviews and we were not disappointed. My wife loved the menudo and one of the things she loves is the little peppers and the pepper crushers, don't know real names, and they have this here. I had a bacon, sausage and ham omelette and it was very good. Very clean and friendly place with great service. I recommend this place if you are ever in Yuma. read more

I love, love, looove coming to eat here!! First, it's so large. There's always plenty of seating. I enjoy going to a restaurant where everyone is family and treats their customers as part of that family. Secondly, the location is excellent. It's never crowded, centrally located, and there's always plenty of parking. Thirdly, and most importantly, the food!! Oh my goodness! The food is INCREDIBLE!!! I want to give them 3 stars because I'm a bit disappointed with my experience but it's not the food so I will stay 4 stars for taste and value. They are too busy for their own good. I won't sit at the counter alone because there was a endless amount of to go orders that walk up and sit and wait. The staff loose sight of you since you are eating and not waiting for to go food. Ordered huevos Mexicanos with homemade flour tortillas. The flour tortillas were chewy and almost translucent (I'll leave it up to you if that's desirable or not). I didn't mind them. The refried beans were good, as we're the fresh potatoes and eggs with fresh veggies in them. The salsa was a bit on the watery side with a heavy onion after taste but complimented the potatoes nicely. Nothing was salty or greasy which is the way I like my food. Fountain Coke, table service with counter pay afterwards. Forget the Chips, they charge an extra $1.50 and they were stale and rock hard at 3pm. When I sent the chips back my server said they make chips each morning. They probably need to rethink how they store them. Also, their restroom was pleasantly clean with updated fixtures. I have always enjoyed the food here and it was good, this time too. However, When I went to pay the cashier was somewhat snooty when it was clearly, her error. My friend wase paying separately. We did not get a ticket and when I went to pay, I said I had plate B, which is 7.99. I figured it would be about $12 with coffee and tax. It came to $24. I said that is a lot for plate B. She said you had eggs, bacon, potatoes and 2 coffees. Yes, and I did have 2 coffees. Only she meant 2 orders. She had included my friends. She had already processed it thru on my card. When we first walked in the door, we tried to find a clean table... There were none. Tables had been cleared, but not wiped off. We sat down anyway, and used a napkin to wipe our own table. As we sat there, we noticed that that continued the entire time we were there. They removed dirty dishes, but no washing of tables. I ordered the taco salad, but asked them to not put beans in it. Guess what... It had lots of beans. When I told the waitress, she didn't seem to care. My husband's meal was fine. He had a machaca burrito dinner, enchilada style, and enjoyed it. First thing I noticed about this place is that their prices seem to be so cheap - burritos for less than $3 and lunch/dinner plates (served with a side of beans and rice) for between $5 and $7. Granted, it's a small hole in the wall restaurant in a nondescript strip mall near the airport and military base. Their menu boasted that it serves Yuma's best authentic Mexican food so I had high hopes for the food. I chose the fish taco dinner plate ($5.25, 2 tacos) because it's one of my favorite dishes. The fish pieces are kind of small and they seem to be overpowered by the deep fryer taste more than anything else. Bottom Line: Whether or not La Casa Deli really offers the best authentic Mexican food in town I don't know, but it sure is quite a bargain! read more

I have no complains about my first visit today. We went on a Saturday around 10-11. They were busy since I got the only table available when I walked in, but they weren't overwhelmed either where the server took long or the food took forever to arrive. The flavor of the food was great and I thought it to be pretty authentic. Horchata tasted well and the service was good. I wish they had free refills for the horchata. They had all the necessary spices for my pozole. The burrito was well sized for the price; the prices were actually very reasonable. My plate was cooked to perfection. Wont go there again. I can't argue that their carne and fish plates are probably delicious but not worth risking painful food poisoning. I can attest for two occurrences of poor food quality: my husband use to go there once in a while until he got seriously sick from food poisoning, he never went back. I went there once, to meet a friend, and ordered just a bean burrito to play it safe. The beans weren't horrible but not tasty whatsoever. The bottled chocolate milk for my daughter wasn't expired but had obviously been unrefrigerated long enough to taste very sour. I can only imagine how poorly they handle their beef, chicken and fish! I used to eat here a lot for lunch. They have really good sonora tacos. The beans are just ok, they don't seem to have much flavor. Their breakfast burritos aren't great; they lack the indigenous Mexican style of Yuma. Chips and salsa are ok. The restaurant is small, with two rooms. Its big enough for a large group though. The wait staff is pretty good, not terribly fast, but not slow either. Parking is limited, but most likely you'll find a spot. They share a parking lot with Domino's, State Farm, and Speedy Auto Glass. Its a good place for lunch if you want to try something new. Some of my friends really, really like this place, so don't take my review too much to heart. read more

Machaca is my Fave La Casa Deli is my go to Mexican food. I am married to a Mexican lady and I get authentic Mexican food at home. She absolutely dislikes the border food, but she approves La Casa Deli. I love anything they make with the machaca and she loves the pozole or menudo.
