Great big menu with great big portions! What's not to love? Came here for lunch while staying in the area and it was quite good for the four of us. Any place with free refills on fountain drinks and homemade onions is always tops in my book, but my wrap was excellent. The Chicken Portobello Wrap has a blend of very flavorful cheeses and I loved with the grilled chicken and portobello mushroom and roasted red peppers. Great combo! The onion rings were stellar. The dipping sauce was hard to not just dip everything on my plate in, (I did it anyways)! Our server was so nice and made sure we had coffees and waters filled and love the at home vibe of the place. Great gem up in the north country! read more

Our family has a camp up at Brantingham lake! It is a tradition to go to Jebs everytime. We all LOVE the food, service, and Atmosphere! For starters, we come in to Jebs and right away the servers bring us to our table. They are all nice and friendly. Then we order our drinks and they come right away! They give us time to order and when we do, they bring it to our table in at least 15 minutes. Which is pretty fast! My personal favorite foods at Jebs are the Grilled Cheese, and the Patty Melt! Our family thinks that all the food here is amazing no matter what they order. Then we have to order the Desserts and their ice cream is the best Ive ever had. The Atmosphere has a very Adirondack feel to it which adds even more incredibleness to Jebs!! read more

HUGE space located in downtown Lowville. Note that the front entrance has a solid 4" lip so would be challenging for someone using a wheelchair or walker. Gluten free wraps and buns are available. They completely messed up my order, but were very quick to remedy it so still giving 4 stars. Food was delicious and it was a fabulous alternative to fast food. read more

I'm updating my review, and honestly, I can't rate this place any higher because it's already the best. I'm from downstate and spend a lot of time working and eating in Manhattan, and this spot absolutely holds its own with the best of them. The wings are perfectly cooked--juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. The sandwiches are outstanding, and there's an impressive selection of great beers on tap. The service is consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is really cool--slightly dark with multiple rooms, which makes sense once you learn it was originally a post office in the 1920s. That history just adds to the charm. Love this place. read more

Loved it. Massive place, full bar, back in the day I understand they had a dance floor, in tiny Lowville, NY. We shared roast pepper and gouda soup, excellent, and a Reuben which was also very good, perfectly grilled and served w Sauerkraut which I avoid as it gives me the wind, but the Mrs. loved it. Excellent fries, super service. Think you'll love it so give Jeb's a try. read more

Returning home after a week in Toronto, we came through a number of small towns and found Jeb's in Lowville, NY. It's quite a large venue where, I think, the whole town could all fit. Reminds me of a diner where everyone knows everyone else. Gives it a nice vibe. Having been on the road for a long time, I was really tired and just needed a quick bite to finish my trip home. I ordered a small (half portion) caesar salad. Honestly after seeing the full portion, I think I made the right choice. Fresh romaine, croutons and dressing. Typical salad with fresh greens. SO ordered a shaved prime rib sandwich with rings. Food hit the spot. Being a Monday night I wasn't sure what could be open in the middle of nowhere (or at least that's how it seemed). Parking is on the street or in a public lot a block down the street. Service was quick and efficient catering to small and large parties. Noticed a lot of people celebrating birthdays here. Always nice to visit new places. Go the next time you're in Lowville for lunch or dinner. read more

Ordered takeout here with my husband on a Tuesday evening. They have a takeout window which works very well for COVID policies. My husband ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes. The potatoes were phenomenal, only complaint was I wish there were more. My husband was very pleased with the sandwich.l, said it was very tender and great seasoning/flavor. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with house chips and a side of blue cheese. House chips were well baked and good flavor, not greasy like some house made chips. Wrap was perfect amount of buffalo, lettuce, and cheese wrapped in a light flour tortilla. A nice lighter but delicious dinner. Great locally owned restaurant. Pretty big menu with a couple of specials every night. Really good burgers from local beef, good salads and love the flatbreads. Also a good selection of beer and other alcoholic beverages. It's not a fancy place but it's clean and the service is excellent. read more

We arrived early for dinner so started with drinks by the fire. The staff was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. We ended up moving to a booth and both enjoyed our dinners. This is not a bad little neighborhood joint. The people are friendly but they are not consistent. I have had the fish tacos several times and it ranged from horrible to amazing! So, I would like them to figure it out! Make it awesome every time. If you can do it once you can do it each time the right way. Even the salads I got were good at times and at other times the lettuce was old. read more

We had a sampling of different menu items. It is decent food and served very quickly. We tried the fajita salad with steak. It was good but all iceberg lettuce. The wraps are good and the chicken tenders are ok. As for the wings they are pretty tasty and good flavor options. The only change is get some gravy. You have mashed potatoes but no gravy to go with it. read more

Great variety in the menu. Best French fries I've ever had. Treat yourself to their incredible prime rib and enjoy the most well poured Guinness around. Hometown restaurant that is a staple of the community. Ample parking in municipal lot across the street. Enjoy dinner and grab a movie across the street for a quiet night on the town. read more

This is the best place to be for awesome drinks and classic comfort food that never disappoints. The people are very friendly, helpful, and communicative, there's no hard feelings if you don't like your food or drink, they take care of it right away! They have a pool table and darts, and the bar area is through closed doors so you can be loud without ruining other peoples evenings. Love all the bartenders there, especially Colleen and Elaine! read more

This was a great local place, my husband and I shared a burger and some appetizers all of which were tasty. The set up for service in a COVID environment was the new norm, no masks needed once seated. Our waitress was polite and fast, I'd go again and recommend this place to friends. read more

We had a rehearsal dinner at Jeb's on last Thursday for 30 people, it was really great. Not only was the food excellent, but the service was too. Erica, the Manager, saw to all the extras and was very attentive-even though the restaurant was packed! The owner Jen was very helpful in guiding me through the platter and buffet options, so grateful she did or I'd still be trying to decide what to do! Food was great, no complaints! I had the cajun haddock which was fresh and cooked perfectly. Served with vegetables and a huge baked potato. We did not dine in but at first glimpse the atmosphere isn't my type. Pro-tip: grab a seat at BarkEater Brewery next door and order take-out from Jeb's. They don't even bat an eye when you tell them you're next door. They delivered it right to the bar!! read more

Stopped here on my way to drop my 14 year old to camp. We both enjoyed it here. According to my son: "What's not to like here? The menu is huge, service is fast, burgers are delicious and there is A1 sitting on the table already. Try the Texas burger!" We were here for lunch. Texas burger for him with freshly brewed iced tea. I ordered French onion Soup and Caesar salad. Both were delicious and reasonably priced. Salad fresh and crisp. My son devoured the burger. As a vegetarian, I could have ordered Veggie burger but I really wanted the soup. It did not disappoint. We both recommend this place and will be back. read more

A key marker of a good restaurant is consistency over time. Over the past two years my wife and I have loved in lowville, we have frequented Jeb's often enough to have tried many of their menu offerings. Some notable favorites of ours include: jumbo chicken wings, any burger they offer, their awesome, crispy French fries, along with a slew of other tasty entrees and appetizers. Not once have we been dissappointed, and every time we leave satisfied and happy we chose to go back. You really can't go wrong with this place. We were looking for a good breakfast place to try while we stayed up here and after Lloyd's of Lowville was disappointing this place REALLY hit the spot today. The Jeb's Benedict was phenomenal and my fiancée got one of the skillet breakfasts and we got a breakfast burrito to-go for when we leave tomorrow since they are unfortunately only open for Breakfast Saturday and Sunday. A lot of local restaurants around here are trying to be fancy, are a bit overpriced and offer similar menus: Adirondack chicken, steaks, seafood and occasionally table side preparations. Well, Jeb's differentiates itself by keeping it simple but good with affordable prices and with an extensive menu. This is basiclly the place in Lowville to go to to grab a drink and have a good meal with friends, co-workers or the family. For drinks they offer a few local NY state wines and beer on tap from the area. For food, a lot of choices, from bar food to salads, burgers, sandwiches, wraps but also pasta, seafood, chicken.... In summary an unpretentious solid place that consistently delivers good food. The only watch out, quite a few dinner dishes are soaking in butter (that's probably why they taste so good). No worries though you can spot a few healthy dishes on the menu. read more

However, it has been some time since I have been out drinking at the bars with friends so we had decided to stop at Bakers bar and Grill as I've had fun there in the past. Upon entering the establishment on 12/31-1/1/24 I went into the smoking room to have a cigarette after getting a drink and while waiting for my friend. I was in the smoking area for approximately five minutes talking to a few people that I had recognized with one of them being Bobbi Jo Turk who I don't know too well other than her being a friend of a few of my friends, yet we talked for a few minutes also. After Bobbi Jo and I were done talking Bobbi Jo stood up and left the smoking room at which time my friend had entered the bar and then the smoking room with me. Moments later Bobbi Jo returned and apparently her and my friend have had issues in the past and began yelling back and forth, I diffused the situation and Bobbi Jo left the smoking area l. My friend and I continued to stay in the smoking room talking with others when out of nowhere this lady, that I now know as Lori Buckingham, slammed the door open, screamed out my name and my friends name yelling that we needed to leave her bar. We were caught totally off guard and I asked why and she told me because she said so. I continued to ask why or what had happened as we were gathering our belongings when eventually this bar tender screamed out that she knew my friend and I sold drugs and when I told her that that was untrue and ludicrous when she got in my face and yelled she knew we were dealing drugs because we knew her son, Josh Youngs. Again I told her that that was also not true that I have never met anyone named Josh Youngs that she must have me mistaken with someone else however, to avoid any more of her threatening onslaught I told my friend that we would just go. As we were walking past Bobbi Jo who was sitting at the bar on our way out she looked at myself and my friend and said "...I told you I would get you out of here." Not only was this experience extremely embarrassing, I also found it erroneously defamatory and unwarranted as clearly the bar tender was kicking people out of a public establishment based on the advice of her drunk friend Bobbi Jo Turck. I was also very concerned with the highly inappropriate, unprofessional and aggressively confrontational behavior of the employee, Lori Buckingham, as when she was screaming in our faces her breath wreaked of alcohol and I never once saw either bar tender ask for identification from the many young patrons present. I will never personally go to this business again however, I think the owner or at the very least the authorities should look into the activities in this bar as the current staff in this establishment are giving Lewis county businesses a bad name.
