This was the first time I've visited this brewery, and I think it is worth the trip! I went with my fiancee in the middle of April. The place was very quiet, but I assume the place draws more attention in the summer months. I tried their John Daly, and their Transfusion. My fiancé had their Cosmo, and the ADK Mule. I enjoyed all of the drinks, though I will say the drinks were pretty hard. If you can handle your alcohol, then you'll love this place. Love the relaxed and fun of Fulton Chain Craft Brewery. They've updated their food menu since we last visited and my boyfriend loved it because one he loves burgers and two, he loves options to create his own. I am the type of person who likes it already paired with what it needs so I went for an option under others. I got the bear dump plate which is their take of a garbage plate. My only recommendation is they do a princess plate (half portion) because there was so much I was full within 5 minutes! The food was delicious and the bartenders were great company. The beer varieties were nice and I actually loved their seltzer. It has no flavor and they have a variety of flavor syrups to add to it, the lavender with it is very refreshing. Stopped by this brewery while in town the vibe was nice and the food definitely stood out. It was a refreshing twist from what we're used to back home in Rochester. The menu had some creative options that hit the spot, and the inclusion of spirits from Black Button was a nice touch and a little taste of home. As for the beer, it wasn't quite what we were hoping for. Most of the selections tasted a bit watered down, lacking the depth and boldness we usually look for in a craft brew. That said, the food made up for it and made the visit worthwhile overall. Worth a stop if you're more into cocktails or food maybe not the best pick for hardcore beer fans. read more

Wow! Disappointed at the FCC. We're neighbors of this place and have been coming since it opened. My wife loves the Go Fluff Yourself and it did not have any peanut flavor at all. Bartender said it has been sitting but could not dump it. Gave her another beer- ok. I had the same experience with the Adventure Canoe he wasn't willing to give me a full pour of something else. If this place were rated on just the beer it would be a slam dunk 5 star rating. The food was good, real good - but on a rainy day there's only room for about 20 people to eat unless you're at the bar in a barstool (not ideal with kids). All in all a great place to spend an hour or two...pick your time when the weather is cooperating and you can enjoy the outdoor seating. read more

Another visit. Another great review. They get it right. They have very tasty craft beer and while the food was really good before; they've recently taken over the kitchen. (It was another vendor handling the kitchen before) The service was really good as it's always been. The vibe is cabin in the woods and they have more indoor seating around the bar (at least it seemed that way to my wife and I). We decided the share their wings after a nice paddle beforehand and they were OUTSTANDING!! I've eaten a lot of wings in a lot of places, but for combo of heat and flavor - these were top 3 I've ever tried. Can't wait for my visit to Old Forge to stop in again. read more

EXCELLENT. Excellent beers, (4 beer flight for 10$)and amazing service! We had Brian, Steven, and Richard, and they were all so amazing and informative!! We chatted with them about the expansion of Fulton chain breweries and about the old forge area as well. If you want food the restaurant next door (pickle club or something with pickle in the name) is excellent and you order from them and they just bring it right into the brewery for you! They close at 6pm, but there is decent parking and street parking available, casual dress, beautiful Adirondack chairs line the bar so maybe don't wear your brand new dress here, bathrooms are on site, and next door even has some live music! My favorite beers were the bear coffee stout (literally tastes like an espresso martini!) and the stealth Buddha! Great overall flavor and nothing crazy overpowering. We got a chance to taste the fluffy (which is inspired of fluffer nutter (marshmallow fluff and peanut butter)sandwiches so you can relive those glory days of coming home when it's dark out after spending the summer day with friends!) but it wasn't crazy sweet, which was a happy surprise. Really enjoyed our visit to the brewery July 2020. We ordered a flight of beers and enjoyed every one of them. We especially loved the coffee beer! It was fantastic, we even came back later on our trip to grab some cans of it. The service was great and the bartenders were friendly. I love the atmosphere, it's very Adirondack style, relaxed, dogs are allowed inside. Bathrooms were okay, but needed soap and towels. Breweries are usually very hit or miss for me. This place was definitely a hit. My fiance and I were told to come here by a family member and were told that we HAD TO try the "Go Fluff Yourself" beer. I was skeptical because I'm not a huge flavored beer fan. The service was terrible. We ordered a burger and a grilled cheese. It took over an hour and they kept telling us that it was taking longer because they had bigger orders but other people were getting their food way before us who had ordered about a half hour after we did. Definitely don't recommend this place. This was a great find by my wife. I gather that FCCB is relatively new. It has that real Adirondack feel inside with the Adirondack chairs and bar stools, and the rough hewn, wooden, floor-to-ceiling supports. While there was only one car parked in front of the place when we entered about 3:30 PM on a Saturday, we were surprised to see the bar fully occupied and a couple of the high-tops filled also. I think they have a parking lot behind the building. But when people departed, they went through the front door. Maybe they walked the short distance from the business area - not the greatest idea on this day with a temperature of 32 degrees and blowing snow! First of all, I have to give kudos to the one staff person who was manning the entire operation on this Saturday afternoon. He came out from servicing the bar to greet us, and every other customer, upon entering. He then explained what he had available on tap. On this day, he had three beers that they brewed and two ciders from Beak & Skiff Orchards. A flight of four 5 ounce glasses is available for $7. With that in mind we chose their IPA, Scotch Ale, regular cider, and blueberry cider. The IPA was crisp and clean, the Scotch ale was too smokey for my wife, but was perfect for me. The regular cider was not overly sweet and had good flavor. The blueberry cider was a real hit with my wife, reminding both of us of a fruit lambic. She enjoyed it so much that she then ordered a pint while we called a restaurant for a dinner reservation. So what was the fifth brew offered that we left off the flight? It was a Pumpkin Ale that I decided to try a 5 ounce tasting of ($2). It was okay, but I haven't found a pumpkin brew yet that I'm a true fan of. With that in mind I ordered a full pint of the Scotch Ale ($5) since that was actually my favorite. I'm sure there will be some folks who will not be happy with anything they try here, and there will be others who will rave about the brews. We all have our own individual taste. The friendliness and warmth of the place is enough to make me want to stop anytime I'm passing through town. A great brewery in the Adirondacks? Who Knew! First off, the beer. Because that's why you are reading this review. The beer here is good and diverse. The Lake Hopper Double IPA is simply excellent. But lets talk about their other beers. My wife does not like beer. She is a wine person. She usually will drink wine or water or maybe order a single beer to be polite. At FCCB she ordered a second beer. I nearly fell over. She really liked the "Go Fluff Yourself" peanut butter beer. Not my thing, but I'd come here any time as my wife likes it! Second: the atmosphere. This place rocks. We went for trivia night. I've been to plenty of trivia nights before, but none that was so fun. These guys go all out in making it a fun experience. We genuinely had a great time. The people that run this place are super nice and friendly. Most breweries could learn from these guys on how to make customers feel welcome. Third: the food. They don't sell any, but the restaurant next door does AND THEY DELIVER! We ordered fries and they were great. Can't speak to the rest, but you can call in your order and they will bring it to you at the brewery. It's perfect. Untappd gave me a badge for drinking beer in over 15 states or countries while I was here. I've been to a lot of breweries, and this is one of the very best experiences we've ever had. read more

We love coming to FCCB, especially considering our dog always gets the invite too. They have a variety of locally brewed beers as well as 1912 seltzer's and a bar stocked with local spirits. Just what Old Forge needed! The beer is all really good. I got a flight. Their "go fluff yourself" beer is my favorite. You can get crowlers there. They don't serve food but pair with the next door restaurant. The restaurant will deliver right to you in the bar. The food is very good. The brewery has Adirondacks chairs that fit right into the ADK atmosphere. Owners are very personable. Dog friendly bar as well. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I can't wait to go back. Was a cool layout of the bar and outdoor seating was nice, but the bartenders were not friendly, I even overheard a customer ask about two different drinks, and one of the bartenders said shortly "I don't know I don't drink either" and left it at that. I also ordered a drink of bourbon and the bartender didn't ask if I wanted it straight or on the rocks, AND I received my bourbon in a PLASTIC CUP... a 16oz clear plastic cup. Stopped in exhausted, dirty, smelly, hungry, and thirsty after hiking the Fulton Chain Trifecta in one day. We probably wouldn't have stopped in if it weren't for the ADK 6 Pack (hiking & brewery challenge) we're working on, but I'm glad we did! We still had 2+ hours of driving, so we limited ourselves to two four-ounce pours each. I had the Go Fluff Yourself, because how could I not?! I wasn't a huge fan but that's because I'm not big on flavored beer. I much preferred the Adventure Canoe IPA. I loved the giant Adirondack chairs. The bartender was friendly and helpful, and even gave me a free sticker to add to my ADK 6 Pack collection. A great find in the Adirondacks! There's a huge bar lining the side and big windows where you can see the brewing system at work. My party and I loved trying all the unique beers. Stand outs were the Cucumber Lime Saison, the Imperial IPA, and the Lavender Black IPA - we took home a half growler of each! This place is doing really exciting and creative stuff with beer. What's not to like about the only local brewery in the Adirondack's? This super chill, comfortable place is in the town of Old Forge and sits adjacent to the Main Street. Plenty of parking and walking distance to the Enchanted Forest Water Park and Arcade. They serve Shandy's and a few small apps as well. They got their funding from Kick Starter and those who donated a certain amount have their names on chairs and there's a Wall of Fame for their free drinks. I love how they started from scratch and made a dream come true!! Come in for beer and help them keep it alive. read more

Stopped by after a word of mouth mention that a new craft brewery opened in Old Forge. Beautiful place! We were greeted immediately by the bartender/co-owner Rich and were made to feel very welcome. Justin, the other bartender/co-owner told us the back story of how they started his life long dream. The flight samples are very generous and my husband loved the "You Chinook Me All Night Long." (I loved the name) We could have easily bellied up and enjoyed more than one if not for the hour drive home. No doubt these young men will be around for the long run.
