The sausage gravy was lacking flavor, with the main taste being cream. The sausage within the gravy was cut up sausage links, and for myself and my wife at least, we prefer ground sausage. Lastly, the biscuits were nothing to write home about. They were not bad but they didn't wow. Overall, I gave Shorty's a three because the food didn't wow me. There was not anything wrong with the food we had at all, and we will probably be back in the future to try some of their other food. The steak was a hard hockey puck. I thought I'd just eat it because I was starving. I choked and it got stuck in my throat. So I sent it back. The woman that brought our food out to us (not our server) was rude and seemed inconvenienced that she brought out the wrong food again. She said she wasn't dealing with this and walked away. Our waitress came back and I sent it back. Waited another 20 minutes and this time, the steak was seared on the outside, but completely gray and raw on the inside. The fat wasn't rendered and the meat smelled like raw meat just pulled out of the fridge. I was disgusted. The waitress took my meal off the bill and we left.
