For the quality of this food and the atmosphere this restaurant should have a way larger crowd especially on a Friday night . The food I tasted was perfectly done and had a pleasure of tasting my friends order of prime rib it was spectacular as well extremely tender. My clams and Osso Buco were delicious and because the food was so exceptional I ordered dessert I was not disappointed absolutely delicious. Cannot wait until my return. read more

Went to an event there and they weren't serving food. The drink prices were all over the place. We ordered the same drinks three times and all three times they were different prices. The older guy who is there often, not sure if he's the owner or just an employee, made people move out of "his seat" at the bar. Who asks customers to move? Paying customers! When there were empty seats nearby, just not at the bar. The bartenders were good about getting drinks out quickly but the price changes and the rudeness of the owner/employee make Bistro a place people don't want to go back to. read more

We got here just as they opened. 3 of our party ordered the French onion soup, and all agreed it was delicious! 2 of us enjoyed a heaping plate of spaghetti and meatballs with an outstanding house salad. The other 2 in our party enjoyed the Cubano sandwich and an open faced Philly cheesesteak, which they both enjoyed. Getting everything out at the same time proved challenging, but the service was otherwise outstanding. read more

Customer service was good, drink was ok but i ordered the prime rib thinking that since it's half of their menu it should be good and was let down. It was cooked well but was very fatty, unseasoned and didn't come with au jus. So i essentially spent $30 on a small dry bland piece of medium rare meat. read more

First of all, tell the food definition police to get off their high horse. The menu is mostly sandwiches, but they are pretty good. That part of the menu is similar to when it was First National Beef and Brew. They are pretty well known for their prime rib. Word of caution that even the smaller portion is extremely large. The interior is nice especially by Watertown standards. Their booze selection is good and this place is pretty solid overall. read more

We went to Bistro 108 and had the prime rib special (their special each Wednesday) -- it was amazingly good! It absolutely melted in your mouth. And real mashed potatoes with gravy. Beers and cocktails were also very good. The decor is real nice and great friendly staff. For a queso/chips appetizer, 2 prime rib specials, 2 beers, & 3 cocktails, the bill was $63. Skip the chain restaurants and support a locally owned establishment -This is one you have to try. We will definitely be a returning customer. UPDATE- we have returned to Bistro 108 several times since my original review. It's one of our favorite spots. They still have prime rib special on Wednesday and trivia night on Thursday. Pretty good bar, but it is not really a "bistro," more of a trattoria/panini place. The food is only decent. The soups are missing something, and the Mediterranean salad is more of an antipasto salad. Live music oftentimes at night, but the quality thereof is uneven. read more

Brought my wife here for a drink, very mellow place. The environment is awesome great service love the karaoke very welcoming.

Seriously I don't know how this place isn't more busy. We went with a group of 4 on Valentine's night since literally everywhere else wouldn't take any more reservations. I'm making this place a new staple for our date nights. The Prime Rib is the best I've had in years. Definitely not disappointed. The service was very warm, the servers knew what to recommend without seeming pushy. I only wish the layout/decor was better, I feel like the space planning in the place wasn't thought out properly, but they have time to adjust. It works for them now, so can't complain. read more

This place is great! Delicious hearty meals, lots of beers on tap, live music, and a friendly staff in a very comfortable setting. The prime rib was very juicy and acceptably priced. They did seem short staffed on a Friday night with the bartender also having to take orders from the dining room, but we still got our app, soup, salad, and dinners within 20 minutes even though it was very busy. We came in at 7PM on Wednesday night, were the only party in the place for a little while until a group of guys came in to the bar for drinks. This caused a minor concern, but we attributed it to the time of day and that it's a downtown location (late for downtown). The service was nice and attentive. The food was very nice. Osso bucco was delightful with very delicious gravy and nice mashed potatoes. Chicken panini was as described, and very nice. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we will return. The only real negative was the cocktail from the bar: a Rob Roy (Scotch Manhattan) made incorrectly with too much Grenadine rather than Italian (sweet) Vermouth. read more

We stopped for dinner on a Friday night. I had heard good things about their lunch service. We were a little cautious when we found the restaurant almost empty at 6pm but gave it a shot. The service was prompt and friendly. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and went with the bistro filling based on our server's recommendation. It was quite good. I might suggest a few chips or crostini to soak up the extra filling. The dinner salads were fresh and not skimpy. For our entrees we had a pork Osso Bucco and a prime rib. For the price we though both were very good. The Osso Bucco came off the bone perfectly but could have cooked a little longer to fall apart. The medium rare prime-rib was quite good. We enjoyed our dinner. The decor was quaint, service was very good. It's not a five star experience but a good, homestyle dinner in a nice atmosphere. read more

Server was whatever...kept trying to sell us on some cheap sweet wine, when we were drinking cabernet. Honestly, if I wanted a microwaved dinner, I would go to Price Chopper. They were repairing a cabinet by the bathroom while we were eating - on a Saturday night! It should be a sign when you are one of 2 customers on a Saturday. Wednesday night prime rib special.....Absolutely hands-down the best prime rib I have ever eaten in Watertown, NY at a great price! So flavorful, the sides were great, and the salad was not that typical iceberg lettuce you get around here...nice crispy greens. Great service....can't ask for anything more. read more

I have eaten at Bistro 108 using gift certificates from restaurant.com. On the first visit, my husband and I went with our one year old. We felt that the atmosphere was more of a bar/restaurant type place and not appropriate for young children. We did sit by the front window away from the bar and live music so it turned out fine. The second time was for a night out with a friend. The atmostphere is perfect for this. We enjoyed a glass of wine, live music, and good food (especially for the price). I would certainly go back again, but I'm not sure I would without my gift certifcate. read more

First off. This place is NOT closed. We had lunch there today. If you like prime rib, that is their specialty. They had prime rib everything; soup, many different sandwiches, and of course straight. Probably the best restaurant in the immediate area. Had Tim's prime rib open faced "sandwich". I say it like that, because it is more a giant slab of prime rib engulfing a piece of garlic ciabatta than a sandwich. Great value for $9. read more

My collegue and I went were in town one night recently - he ordered the ribs, I ordered the tilapia. While his ribs appeared to be palatable, especially in comparison to my tilapia which was covered with some brown crust that looked and tasted like a freshly dropped cow chip, they were well under cooked - allowing him to only eat two of the five ribs. It was appalling to think we had to pay for the meal, let alone to be asked if we would like to take the left overs home with us. Needless to say, this was THE WORST MEAL either of us have ever eaten, or will probably ever eat in our lives. read more
