Thursdays are 75 cent wings night and from the looks of it the locals do t forget it and get there early. The parking lot can and does get packed .I was told your waitress is key and ours was amazing quick and wanting to accommodate. Watch out for their specials I had their fried perch ...tasty . Plus they have a great cocktail list .

Once again a great meal and fabulous service at The Blue Heron! Had lunch here with 9 ladies and a toddler this past week. I had the soup special which was chicken and dumplings, and oh my, it was yummy! Also had their club sandwich which was delicious and prepared the classic way a club should be prepared. Took two desserts to go with dinner later, the cheesecake pumpkin pie and carrot cake and both were amazing! My hubs and I enjoyed our dinner here this evening! We were able to sit outside on their cute patio and had lovely service from our waitress. She was super sweet and very attentive. We enjoyed the following items: Shrimp Rockefeller-a special of the night and so yummy! Cream of crab soup-husband had this and you could see the big chunks of crab meat. 1/2 pound perch with fries and their special of the day Mac salad. Very flavorful fish! Lightly breaded and delicious. Chocolate fudge cake-got this to go and this cake was amazing! All of their desserts are homemade and you can te First time there and we had an excellent dinner! We arrived at 7:30 and the place was packed which is always a good sign, except we then had to wait for about 45 minutes! The special fish dinner was excellent! The only bad part was that they just had run out of their homemade mac and cheese! Still a great special and my other two dining companions enjoyed their seafood pasta dishes. Salads were fine and the mussels appetizer was nicely done! Can't wait to go back!

Best wings in the area by far! Absolutely perfect! Kudos to the Blue Heron for nailing the wings. Very polite bartender on a busy Friday. Can't wait to come back.

We made the unfortunate choice to sit outside on a late summer afternoon. Unfortunate because we were attacked by bees the whole time we ate However, the beer was cold, the service great, and the food good.

Another great dinner at the Blue Heron! We sat outside on the patio. I enjoyed the Cajun Shrimp and Scallop pasta. My husband had the Honey Hot wings an shared one with me - delicious! He then had the Chicken Parm Sandwich. He particularly like the sauce and the chicken breast was nicely cooked. Our waitress was very nice and helpful when my husband decided to add the wings to his order and got them out to us right away. Side Note: We are visiting from out of town and our dog has been suck and not eating his food. I asked if we could get a plain grilled chicken breast and they were very accommodating - even decorating his to go box! I can't say enough about the service! And he devoured it!

This is a great place. Good wings, great sandwiches. Fresh shrimp was excellent. Beer is cold. I like the tropical full throttle drinks. Service is excellent and friendly. We bring our dog when we can sit on the patio which is lovely

Very good. You cannot go wrong if you dine there or have a great lunch on the patio, of course just during summer months.

This made guests leave, and her behavior negatively impacted the atmosphere of the bar.As we left she disrespected my party and I, who definitely spent way more than the two friends she seemed to only have enough time for. Overall, the attitude and effort were absolutely poor, and id say worst rated bar so far she made it clear she wanted to close and lock the doors totally shorting us on drinks and constantly whispering about us so disrespectful and we have no problem spending our money where its deserved id NEVER set foot there again knowing a mouth like her works there. Knowing she doesn't appreciate that her day isn't wasted, especially since we brought in more guests when we walked in.. But it seems she could care less Willies says open till 2 but she wanted to close at 10 which i understand if you got no business. I should have knew this was gonna be our experience since clearly over the phone she sounded miserable. People pay to have a good time, No one should work in a place they dont have the time for, my friends and i are customers willing to spend. And the only thing we spent was a good time wasted by her. My company made it all the worth while thank goodness otherwise i think my night would have been ruined overall. Miserable people should never be trusted in any business. Worst time ever.Drinks terrible unless you drink from a can or bottle. She needs to be retrained for pouring and her attitude. She represents your bar and i wouldnt recommend anyone deal with that. Service - AWFUL Food - couldn't get anything even with guests offering to pay more, WHERE THEY LEFT. Ambiance - save your money for somewhere else.

Upon entering we found a really cute place with tables and some bar seating. It has a cute and casual atmosphere with popular songs playing but in blue grass style. It wasn't busy because they just opened for the day so we were seated immediately. We were happy to see they carried beer from Wayland, a local brewery from our area. We ordered drinks and food and it came out quickly. Our server was attentive and was able to speak to all our menu questions to ensure we got what we needed. I ordered a class of Pinot Grigio and the Martha salad with grilled chicken. It was absolutely delicious, very flavorful and tasty. The cilantro and dates were a nice add on to a salad. The dates were a nice sweet contrast to the salty goat cheese. I was impressed that they had a lot of healthy and gf options that were wonderful and didn't feel like an afterthought on the menu. I am told the blackstrap bbq chicken sandwich was wonderful. The chicken and onion straws were nice and crispy. The bbq sauce wasn't overpowering but added a nice addition to the sandwich. The onion ring on top was a huge bonus and the fries were perfection, possibly the star of the show. I'd highly recommend if you are in the area. We hope to be able to come back another time soon.

A LOT OF UNTAPPED POTENTIAL ===========================…read more My husband and I stopped in on Monday, November 18th around 2:00 p.m.. There was hardly anyone inside, yet I had to wait ten minutes to get a table. It went downhill from there. One server for the whole restaurant is a problem. I just ordered a beer and fries. It was cold so my husband just wanted tea. The first cup tasted like coffee that he doesn't like. The second cup was cold. He gave up at that point. That said, we really did enjoy the food. It was BOGO beer or pizza. The hubby partook in a beer and we opted to share an appetizer of cheese curds and a fish and chips. I will say I was slightly disappointed with our curds. They were small and most were just empty pieces of batter. The people beside us got a beautifully breaded batch and much more. They tasted good, but still disappointed in the lack of curds (the empty ones). The fish was nice and light and not fishy at all. I really enjoyed the coleslaw and my husband likes the fries. It was just the right amount of crisp without being too much and the perfectly flaky fish. The price wasn't terrible and the lake view is very nice and relaxing.

A good sign though for a new place to eat. I like to always first and foremost acknowledge good service. The Waypoint staff we interacted with were great. Caleb, the host, was very personable and, thought outside the box to accommodate us during a time where this place was very busy and the kitchen was playing catch-up. Also our server Cory was helpful and honest about menu options and her opinion. She was serving several tables at the same time and was still attentive. Kudos to Cory. We came here for the seafood options we saw on their menu through their Facebook page. $22.95 for 1lb of crab legs we felt was a great deal. The crab legs were listed in the starters section of the menu and were served as such. No sides like an entreé. They were cooked just right meaning when you went to crack open a leg it still snapped, it wasn't rubbery. Meat inside came right out and, was juicy and not dry. Next came the little neck clams. Sold by the dozen and, we ordered 3 dozen for our table of 4. Clams were fine and steamed just right. The cup of butter sauce was good. It had garlic and a hint of lemon. Unfortunately they did not have any hot sauce which is how we like to enjoy our clams. Hopefully they will offer hot sauce soon. A unique item on the menu in the Starters section is the Heron Fries. Circle cut potatoes fried like fries. They came with small cups of gravy and bleu cheese. The gravy was just ok to me. The bleu cheese was very chunky. It's not my bag but that's a personal choice. It did have a great flavor that everyone at the enjoyed along with the big chunks. . Being a native of Buffalo, NY, I consider myself a bleu cheese connoisseur. I enjoyed this starter very much especially because off the circle fries. Last two items were tasty and enjoyed by all at the table. Mussels and fried cheese curds. Mussels were a nice size and the butter garlic sauce went well with them. Cheese curds came with a sweet and spicy jam. We also asked for a side of marinara sauce. Curds and sauces were a hit enjoyed by all. The prices for all of the seafood items were very reasonable in my opinion and, all perfectly cooked That alone is reason to come back. Now add the good service and you have a a new regular spot to dine in chaumont.
