Nice fall day, so I headed to Clayton. Got there 5 minutes after the restaurant closed for lunch, but the lounge was open and offered pizza and wings. I ordered the bianco pizza. It's a white sauce base, topped with spinach, caramelized onions, and a honey drizzle. Absolutely delicious. Great view of the river and ships. We sympathized with her situation, but by the time she actually went to get our food, over an hour after we ordered, we were the only two people at a table. The reviews are accurate. Sitting outside by the water is the best part of this restaurant. Kids complained that the soda tasted off. I ordered a lemon drop berry martini and it just wasn't good. Cheap vodka was used and they had a sugar rim but used that sugar in the raw which was just gross. Also every drink resulted in melted sugar condensation dripping everywhere and making things sticky. The food was seriously lacking too. Kids each got a cheese pizza from the kids menu. On the menu the price was listed as $8. We were charged $10 for each. They tasted fine but nothing special. I got the deli pepperoni pizza. Asked for it to be extra crispy. It came out and the edges were crispy - looked good. But the middle of the pizza had raw dough and it had no flavor at all. My friend got the hot wings. Said they were the worst wings she'd ever had. Another friend ordered the chicken fettuccine. It wasn't delivered with the rest of the food. They had forgotten his order and didn't bring it out until 20 minutes later. We told them to forget it at that point and it was probably a blessing bc it looked super gross. Not one cherry pepper found.(Per menu was included) The calamari was a little overcooked however still good. Main course took a while to come out, however I did appreciate our waitresses telling us in advance. I ordered the Filet Mignon with buttered mashed potatoes & asparagus (that's what the menu states). Received broccoli instead of asparagus. Thank goodness I like both veggies. Perfection on the medium rare filet. Every bite was heavenly. Advised our waitress that it was my sister's birthday if they could put a candle on the cannolis... she did not disappoint. Only take away check with waitress if everything on the menu is available and comes with the meal. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back to try other menu items. Called one more time and was told couldn't accommodate "large party" (of 5?) however patio was first come first serve. We were in Clayton for Memorial Day weekend. The food here was the best we had in the area! The ambiance was great and they offered outdoor seating. My loaded Bloody Mary was perfectly seasoned with an olive, feta cheese block, and asparagus on a skewer. I ordered the shrimp and polenta: 3 large grilled shrimp on top of three fried green tomatoes, laid on a bed of polenta. Phenomenal! I'm going to give this place 5 stars. And I didn't even eat there. Why? Because my teenage children went out to eat there (without a reservation) on a busy Saturday night. They were treated so kindly and given a seat overlooking the water. I truly appreciated this establishments care and assistance. Have to add this though - they brought back some pizza to the hotel. For anyone with mobility issues I am not sure you could be accommodated might want to check first. We were lucky enough to sit outside on a gorgeous day. Our server was very nice with great personality although not the most attentive. To be honest had the personality not been great I would have had an issue with the service. We ordered an appetizer and a main each and found that the food was good but pricey.My main the chicken parmigiana was $28 it was average sized and tasted alright. For the price would have thought that at least a side salad would have been included. Overall although it was pricey we really enjoyed dining along the water. So made a micro vaca out of it The food here was fabulous I had this home made fettuccini in a home made pesto sauce with seared scallops shrimp and freshly caught perch right from the shore line It was really good first time eating perch too!! Dined her for an anniversary dinner. Supreme food, but surprising that such an upscale establishment, right on THE best part of the water, had a limited, shall we say, simple menu. Maybe a post-Covid effect? We started with a bottle of 2022 Love Block Savignon Blanc which was the best wine we've had in moons. Well worth the $50+ price tag. Moved on to the Frito Misto. Definite recommendation. Just lightly breaded, not overcooked, crisp but moist and served with a deliscious Thai chili sauce. Really tasty food at a great price with an amazing view! Definitely a top place to check out when visiting the 1000 Islands! I would suggest making a reservation on OpenTable or calling ahead because it can get busy. Can't go wrong with the pizza and the chicken riggies are my favorite. Meatballs to start are also really good, but could use some bread to go along with amazing red sauce. 4 stars because service was just okay. Waited for water to be refilled and took about 15 minutes to get the check. They served us bread during the meal which was a little odd considering we all had pasta dishes. Friday night for dinner - we had a reservation for 7pm but when we arrived our table was not ready - so we had to wait for about 20 minutes. The hostess was very friendly always checking if our table would be ready. Finally she gave us two a table for four to seat us. It's a nice restaurant, nice ambiance inside and if you can sit on the patio (it was to cold / windy) it must be wonderful. We had a very nice and friendly server. We started with some truffle fries (were really hungry), a nice portion to share. I had the special "greek style" pizza with a garden salat and my wife took the Arincini - not "haute cuisine" but all tasted very well and we got enough food. On a lake or sea what is better than enjoying a nice pizza with a good bottle of red wine (Napa Cellars Merlot - they have Opus One on the wine list)... you just feel like being in Italy ;-). I have to mention the homemade carrot cake - we just love this cake. Overall we got what we had expected after a "harder" start but definitely a place we would go again. read more

We had dinner at DiPrinzios recently. This was at least our third time dining here. We have had some decent food here in the past. I ordered chicken parmigiana with angel hair. My wife had the bolognese. First the good. The bolognese was hot and tasty. The chicken parm was so tough that I could barely cut it. The angel hair was all mushed together in a large clump. It was very disappointing especially at $28 which didn't even include a salad. I wish that I would have ordered the bolognese. After that disappointing meal, I doubt that we will return. read more

Need to train the staff and manager better. Took over 1.5 hours for a pizza and a meatball parm sandwich on a Sunday. It is the off season mid September but maybe they should not be open to the public if they can't serve or preform. First forgot our order, told it was backed up. People who ordered after us got food. Asked to speak to manager who couldn't give an answer when the food was coming. Maybe next time go check and give some reassurance after an hour it's next. Our dinners were amazing. The tenderloin pasta was to die for! My husband had the oxtail special and said it was delicious! I had the lobster ravioli that was very good, a little too much butter sauce, but still delicious! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!.
