Big comeback burger - picture doesn't do it justice. It was a very good burger!

Good food and a nice waitress. The French onion soup was very good. The mussels were tasty. We ordered the big comeback burger, the riverboat burger and a NY strip steak. The burgers and the steak were delicious. Absolutely zero issues. Service was quick. Would absolutely eat here again when we come back to town.

Food, service and price were excellent. Sat at an outside table, had the bacon cheese smash burger with fries along with a couple excellent craft beers. Burger $15 fries $3 beers$8 and $9. Very pleased with this

Visited Thurs nite after labor day and really happy we went here. Not very busy; sat out on porch on the warm summer nite. Welcomed and seated promptly; servers very friendly and attentive. Large selection of craft beers; mainly in cans; but a nice list and both were great; although they could have a few more stouts, but the one they had suited me. Nice sized fresh side salad. K got the creamy mushroom pasta; was very very tasty. I got Blackened MahiMahi which was cooked perfectly; tender and seasoned well. Also nice portion of Fresh broccoli for the veggie. Not a rice pilaf guy; so subbed for the waffle fries; no problem for the server and they were very good as well. Everyone there seemed to be finishing their plates and looked happy. I would highly recommend a stop here as this was a great experience.

Fried shrimp appetizer and salmon dinner

My family and I visited Alexandria Bay for fourth of July. We stopped for dinner and this place looked nice. A fun old house turned into a restaurant. The front porch was a wonderful outdoor eating area that was very large. We did sit inside with plenty of seating and no waiting. It did take sometime to first receive service that is why they get 4 stars instead of 5. I had to go ask for drinks, but once a server came over the service was good. The prices are fair and the food was fantastic. Everyone enjoy their food. I had the stuffed shells with shrimp and it was fantastic. I would recommend to others for sure.

Disgusting table cloth- ewwee

Disappointed in the cleanliness of this restaurant. I expect to sit at a table with a clean tablecloth if the plates of pasta start at $15+. Every spot for our table of 5 had grease stained tablecloth that sat in our laps (as if the prior customers did not have napkins). I felt like I wanted to wash my hands the entire time. When I went to the restroom to wash my hands- I was even more grossed out by the filth. I was disappointed by our waitress, that did not know the tap list or the wine list. She also had a hard time describing the products she was serving. Overall I was incredibly disappointed and think the restaurant is very overpriced for the product and service,

Meatballs, yum.

Had dinner with my family on a Friday evening. No wait for an outside table. The server was very nice, and was great with the kids. The dinner salad was an appropriate size, simple, but good. The dinner rolls were served hot and drenched in butter...excellent. I wanted more. The salmon was good as well as the kids spaghetti. The meatballs were the table favorite. My fish and chips, regular fries, was also excellent and I would order it again. This place has great outdoor atmosphere. I would eat there again, but would skip the kid pizza.

The hostess was amazing. Very friendly and welcoming.. I thought man a good start.. then it went drastically down hill. It took us over an hour and half to get and finish our meal. Waiter came over and seemed out of place. Took our orders for drinks and appetizers then disappeared. Our drinks came out slowly considering it was two waters and a lemonade. We ordered the garlic cheese curds. No plates to eat them on, no extra napkins.. They were good, nothing like omg I have to get again. We asked now for a Pepsi and Arnold Palmer with our dinner order.. drinks even slower than the last time came out.. no water refills to be seen. Then our food at this point should be done.. oh no waiter comes out..they are out of chicken fingers. Our child has to order something else.. choices were grilled cheese or pasta. We came here specifically because of the kids menu and tenders. That should have been told to us before even getting into the dining area. So I ask can you make a small kid burger? Nope! They are all premade burgers. They offer no alternative to a kids meal that has protein on it unless you want grilled cheese. What the actual hell. My kid has an issue with milk. They won't discount the adult meal that our kid won't fully finish. So a reasonable night went out the door. Was the waiter willing to ask a boss.. again nope.. no boss to be seen. Husband ordered the fish and was told to pick any side. He ordered poutine. I ordered the grilled chicken with poutine. My son was forced to get the fried chicken and we had to cut it up for him. No water refill or refill asked once our food hit the table. Didn't see our waiter again til he wanted to settle the bill. My chicken was ok. The chicken really should have been pounded thinner.. one side was very thick and the other was barely there. I wasn't impressed with the poutine, beyond swimming in gravy, too much. My sons chicken was huge so he only ended up eating 1/3 of it given he's a kid. Such a waste of money. My husbands fish was ok, it came out with chips on his plate and then the waiter brought poutine. he said the texture of the breading wasn't good. At home we have some of the best fish fry's and this one wasn't one of them. Here's the kicker.. get the bill.. it has full shot for all meals.. no man we messed up with your kids meal.. and they charged my husband extra for poutine. 4.50 for something that came with his meal. My meal was normal price. At this point we had been there for an hour and half with a child I wanted out so we just paid and left. If your looking to flush money down the toilet and spend an hour and half to two hours of your life on a meal.. this is the place.

When we walked in, we were greeted instantly and told we could choose anywhere to sit. Our waitress was almost over immediately to hand us menus and took our drink orders. The restaurant had a nice friendly ambiance to it. Seeming like this time a year, it was mainly for locals. There were one or two other people who walked in, who the staffed seemed to know. We ordered some of their garlic cheese bread as an appetizer. I order their southwest shrimp salad, and my wife ordered the cheese Italian bread pizza. We unfortunately were told that we needed to check in early to the place we were staying, so we asked if we could actually have our food to go, and the staff were so accommodating. We did have some of their garlic bread before we left, and it was crispy and fresh with nice gooey cheese. The marinara sauce was very flavorful too. The southwest shrimp salad I had was also delicious. The shrimp were cooked just right with a good amount of seasoning to them. The vegetables and tortilla strips were fresh and crunchy. The cilantro lime dressing also had a nice brightness to it, but also that creamy texture. We will definitely be back in the future when we come back to this area.

We arrived shortly before 9am and had no wait for table. Although there were only half a dozen other tables of diners service was a slow crawl. It was a lovely view so I just drank in the ambiance of the Bay and watched the tour boats docking and departing. Ham and cheese omelettes light and fluffy with more than enough toast with a wide selection of jellies. Home fries on the side were a little bland but easily rectified with salt and pepper. The orange juice was served un chilled in a 6 oz glass for $4. It was more than enough food for two with leftovers to go. $41 though with no coffee or refills on the OJ. Nice experience but will probably do breakfast at diners in town next visit.

They bring you a little loaf of bread and butter, as well as a red sauce. The bread was hot and delicious! My husband had New England clam chowder and enjoyed it. For the main meal, I had a burger, which is my favorite food to eat everywhere. It was cooked perfectly. I had considered the chicken parm that came with fettuccini Alfredo. I asked if it came with a side salad. No it did not, but I could order a side salad if I wanted to. So for $10 less, I got my trusty go-to order, the burger, which had fries as a side and felt like a more complete meal. My husband got the steak which had lots of fat. They don't have a dessert menu but our waitress told us the options. We got the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. It had white chocolate drizzle which we did not enjoy and would have asked to be left off, if we had known. Our waitress was very attentive. Some spaces were dated (the bathroom) , others had been updated. My husband gave it a 6/10 but the view will make it a 7/10.

Finding the entrance was like a game of hide-and-seek gone wrong. There's no signage, zero lighting, and walking back at night from the main street feels more like the opening scene of a horror movie than a relaxing vacation. It's eerie, deserted, and downright creepy. The restaurant? Only serves dinner--no breakfast, no lunch. Good luck figuring out when it opens, though. When I asked the teenage staff at Pointe Grill, they stared at me blankly before going back to fishing and smoking off the dock directly in front of the entrance. It was like interrupting their hangout spot, not asking a simple question as a paying guest. The property itself is in serious decline. Dirty, dank, and reeking of cigarettes and mildew. The smell hits you immediately, as do the scattered cigarette butts littering the grounds. It's clear that upkeep is not a priority. To their credit, the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming--but that level of service unfortunately doesn't extend to the rest of the establishment. The rooms with a view of Boldt Castle might sound romantic, but step inside and it's like walking into a forgotten relic of the 1970s. The decor is outdated to the point of being uncomfortable: mirrored walls, an aging jacuzzi, and cheap, bubbling vinyl flooring that looks like it was installed by someone's cousin over a weekend. The door to our room didn't even seal properly--it looked like it had been kicked in at least once, maybe more. The balcony was filthy, crawling with bugs, covered in vines, and in desperate need of a power wash. The railing was rickety and rusted--definitely not somewhere you'd want to linger with a drink in hand. As for amenities, the hot water took a full ten minutes to arrive, which felt symbolic of the overall experience: slow, neglected, and not worth the wait. For the price per night, this place is a complete letdown. It feels more like a rundown roadside motel than the getaway it pretends to be. Skip it. There are far better options in the area that actually care about their guests--and their property.
