A little expensive but overall really good. My friends and I split the pizzas, they were big enough to share. We had the buffalo chicken pizza, which had a lot of bleu cheese, which wasn't my favorite. They also have really big drinks. We split the margarita with two Coronas in it. It was a good drink.

    Upcharges

This bad review is not about the food, it's about the lack of knowledge of the servers and the weird up charges. We were told we had to pay more because we ordered a Martini and there is an up charge from other drinks What?? Then we order the Happy Hour Crab claws for $15, but the bills says $18. We asked them to adjust it and the server says we did not order those and proceeds to bring us the two different claws to show us. Again, what? We own in Ptown and have been here before, and enjoyed it, but management needs to figure out what they're doing, probably why the place was empty. With so many choices in Ptown, stay away from JD's

My partner and I split the 3 meat pizza, which was good. Too much crust in my opinion. The pizzas may look large in the photos, and I'd say it's a little too much for 1 person but not enough for 2 people. The strawberry daiquiri was delicious, and I ended up drinking too many of them... and not for my liver's sake, more for my wallet's sake. Overall, the service was friendly though extremely inattentive, and the food was fine.

Only stopped in to get drinks. My friend, boyfriend and I sat at the bar top table looking over the road which was a really nice view. All the drinks were tasty. One of the better Espresso martinis I've ever tried. Not too pricey and we had a very friendly server.

Omggggg 10/10 recc! They have so many options almost too many but it was easy to make a good decision. The Corona Rita was bomb af and food hit the spot. A little expensive but oh well!

This is one of my "must go" places whenever in P-Town. The vibe is always good, they have good drink and beer selections and the menu is eclectic. The sushi is always good and the raw bar is excellent. Try to go for happy hour pricing as the raw bar is a little pricey otherwise. Look for the sidewalk board to go out around 4 indicating they have dollar oysters, then drop what you are doing and make a bee line. They have added outdoor tables that are pet friendly, not quite the same atmosphere, but a nice shady spot for the four legged family member.

The dining experience offered a mix of delights and disappointments. The sushi was great and the shrimp dish stood out with its almost tempura-like quality, providing an enjoyable experience. However, the cheesesteak didn't live up to expectations, as it seemed overpriced for the quality received. The fries were decent, but not exceptional, serving as a passable snack option. The water policy was understandable, but the price of $0.95 for a small water box was questionable, especially considering alternatives available elsewhere at CVS for bigger. The servers were friendly and competent, but the food took about 40 minutes to arrive, which could be an issue for those with urgent hunger. The restaurant was relatively pricey, and it's worth noting that the specials might offer more budget-friendly options. During the visit, there were a couple of issues. Firstly, a side swap of fries for onion rings resulted in a $3.00 up-charge, despite both items having the same menu price. When I was served they even forgot my onion rings (seemed the cooks didn't make them). Secondly, a family faced a frustrating situation where they had to wait for half an hour to be seated, witnessing others being seated before them, the family with kids were upset the entire time and weren't any better once seated.

OK. Back up a star. I really like the sushi place here in P-Town, however, they are closed for the season. But....they have a working relationship with JD's and the sushi chef is hidden away in his own little prep-area for the next few weeks. Score. So, we sat on the patio and ordered some basic sushi and sake. Staff was very nice this time - not abrupt and rude like the last visit (during the summer). We saw the sushi chef walk by a few times and he waved to us. He's a lovely person that actually knows how to make good sushi. The rolls were falling apart a bit last night, but the quality was still delicious. We had the mango/salmon/avocado roll, salmon/avocado roll, tuna/avocado roll, salmon nigiri, yellowtail nigiri and an eel/avocado handroll. Sad to know the sushi will be gone soon. The rest of the food at JD's actually looked pretty good....and they will have some Thai choices while the season allows them to stay open.

I visited this bar/restaurant during COVID. It was such a fun experience! They're outside, great for people watching, with plexiglass between tables, but the tables are close together for those that are concerned. It drew all sorts of crowds, young college kids, young couples and friends, older adults. They had a really extensive menu with sushi options, but we just ordered some appetizers with cocktails. It's a great stop along the main busy street in P-town. If there's a wait and you just wanted drinks or oysters, I'd walk around the street and come back when a table opens up for you.

Will NOT provide tap water--they make you buy boxed water at exorbitant prices, just to drive up the price (and tip).

Do they still serve the tremendous 2 person margarita with the 2 bottles of Carona upside down style? 😍

We went in May and they had them.

I ordered rings, but was brought wings. When I calmly pointed this out, the waitress (the lady behind the bar) told me, "No, you ordered wings. I remember you--you did the same thing last time, trying to confuse your order." Well, you remembered my face--but not what actually happened last time. Let me remind you: Last time, I was served a beer with a chewed gum in it. I only realized it after taking a sip and feeling it in my mouth. I don't even chew gum. I quietly told the staff, "Just please change the beer and let's forget this ever happened." No scene, no shouting--I tried to be discreet and respectful. I even wrote an apology on the back of the receipt and left a 25% tip. That was the only time anything went wrong with my order before. So yes, you remembered me--but not your own mistake. This will be my last visit while that particular staff member is working there. The place itself is OK, and most of the staff are nice and professional. But that one person ruins the whole experience. Sorry.
