Very disappointing experience with the service department…read more I brought my 2020 Ford Explorer to Diamond Chevrolet GMC of Banning on August 24, 2026, for a parking brake warning/light issue. They kept my vehicle for approximately 17 days, until September 10. According to my service invoice, they replaced several parts, but the problem was not fixed. Their own technician documented that they could not perform the required diagnostic because they did not have the necessary diagnostic equipment. The invoice specifically recommended sending the vehicle to Ford for further diagnosis and repair. I was told Diamond needed to contact the warranty company and complete the necessary paperwork/authorization so I could have the vehicle repaired at a Ford dealership. That still has not been done. I have now been trying to contact the dealership for approximately a week, and I have not received a clear response or confirmation that they have contacted the warranty company. After having my vehicle for over two weeks, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the dealership to complete the necessary warranty process so another authorized facility can finish the repair. I am not asking them to fix something they don't have the equipment to diagnose. I am simply asking them to submit the required documentation to the warranty company and release/authorize my vehicle for repair at Ford. I hope someone from management will take responsibility for this and get the warranty process completed. I would much rather update this review positively if the issue is resolved.

I drive up from San Diego to this dealership location (29054 Goetz Rd Menifee/Canyon Lake) got there before the dealer Geno showed up. The ad said the car was clean, it had obviously been in an accident as some of the front plastics had small cracks. He gets there and pulls the car out and I go for a test drive, it's getting dark and the lights indicator was on but no lights, also the screen has a warning light on and says "maintenance required" on the screen. I pull over on the next street, I make sure I have the right light switches on, try every light switch and no front headlights whatsoever. The car also drove really rough probably from the accident, was filthy inside and had a very dirty front window that made it hard to see. I immediately drove the car back to the dealer and told him everything was wrong. He was trying to tell me the car was great and the lights only needed to be changed and that's why they were scratches on the front, and the maintenance was only an oil change and have my mechanic look at it. Seriously? I wasn't born yesterday and maybe because I am a woman he thought I don't know about cars. What car from 2015 needs new bulbs 2 years later, one that is crashed. And scratches from installing lights? What a joke. There were cracks on the front, not scratches and I've installed many lights on different cars and never scratched or cracked the body of the car. I told him how could I trust a dealer that just put me in a dangerous car that needs alot of work and drove away. This horrible dealer then calls me right away to yell at me that the car is in good shape. I tell him you tried to put me in a deathtrap, i'm not buying your broken car and I hung up on him.
