The Auto Source in Banning, California is one of the worst used car experiences I have had. I purchased a 2005 Nissan Titan from them in May. The salesman, Tom, was the epitome of a used car hack. In the process, I had to make phone calls to the dealership which was answered by Tina. Her unprofessional demeanor in dealing with me, along with relaying messages to others in the dealership made the process frustrating. Glenn, the service manager, also was difficult. The test drive was fine, but the truck was on empty. After the deal was made, Tom promised to put enough fuel in it to get home. That also was never done Recently, while I was preparing for a trip, I noticed that the jack and tool kit for lowering the spare tire from the undercarriage was not with the vehicle. I called the dealership and explained my dilemma to Glen. His only solution was for me to pay $70.00 for a used jack & tool kit from a junk yard. He promised the part on a Tuesday, but it didn't arrive until late Thursday, which caused additional frustration for my trip. When I arrived to purchase the jack & tool kit, Tom (the salesman) refused to acknowledge me. I tested the tool kit to make sure it was the proper equipment & spoke to Glen. I reiterated my frustration & told him I was planning on posting a review on Yelp about my experience. He couldn't have cared less. I would definitely not buy another vehicle from Auto Source. Not many times I actually rate a place 5 stars, let alone a dealership. The first time I came was about 6:30PM at night and I talked with a gentleman named Nic Lacasse. Awesome dude, at first glance I thought he was sleezy to be honest. Talked with him about a CRV on the lot and told him that I was a first time buyer with a good credit score. Fast forward a little, talked with Rosa over the phone, real nice lady. She got all of my information, she then forwarded it to Tom, who I contacted next. Did not have any issues at all with anyone here. Everyone was extremely nice, I dealt with Nic the most and I have to say, Nic is the best. Go to this guy, real honest and down to earth "salesman." Yes, he's looking for a sale because that's his job but the deal they gave me with the APR percentage for a first time buyer they were able to talk through. I mean, the banks they sent to were a lot, a lot of denials, a few counter offers, and an acceptance later, I got a prime lender, low APR, low monthly, all with $3.5 down....could not beat it! Walked around the lot for a good 45 minutes or so and was finally greeted. Sales person wasn't very friendly, I look very young for my age so my guess he was thinking this young kid isn't going to buy anything and waste my time. After a couple for minutes of talking to the sale person I did not felt welcomed so I ended up leaving. I don't recommend this auto sales. WARNING This is a warning to anyone thinking of financing a vehicle from auto source banning or Yucaipa. I signed all the paperwork, gave them $2000.00 down, they delivered the vehicle, the finance company completed my phone interview having me acknowledge that my first payment was due on the 9/9/16 for the amount of $327.14 and gave me the three options I had to make the payment to them, I stopped by the lot to give them my references and insurance info and have them look at the door molding that the tint company they recommend had melted. As I was about to leave Tom comes running out telling me he had to have the car back, I left the lot in MY car having fulfilled all my obligations with full intent to make my first payment on or before the due date. Today my neighbor knocks on my door to tell me they just stole my car. I went straight to the lot to get my belongings out of the car where Tom sat grinning behind his desk. They are now refusing to return my down payment and refusing to reimburse me for my tint and I will have to take them to small claims court to get my money back. The sign on the building states guaranteed financing which is false advertising. I was completely attached to my new car and not to mention they have completely put my livelihood in jeopardy as I am a full time driver for Lyft and Uber. I now have no means to pay my bills seeing as I sold my truck to come up with the down payment for the vehicle I bought. You would think that if you 1. Sign all the contract papers 2. Give your down payment 3. Provide your references and purchase full coverage insurance 4. Pay $150 to have the windows tinted 5. Complete your final interview with the finance company 6. Show everyone you know your new car 7. Pay money to have the car inspections done for uber and lyft 8. Pay money to have the rear brakes done because they were bad when you bought the car and wouldn't pass inspection 9. Put a full tank of gas in preparation for work 10. All the time put in to everything above That the car is officially yours until you default on making your first payment which never crossed my mind or would have happened. My wife and I had been helping our son search for a Mazda Miata in his price range. We had visited many other dealerships but nothing really caught our eye. We saw an ad for a 2006 Mazda Miata online and we called the dealership to inquire. I spoke with Tom and from the beginning he was very professional. After test driving a Ram 1500 that I liked I told the sales person the tires don't look good. There where some miner things wrong but they fixed them. I went back 2 weeks later to drive the truck again and it would not start. It turned out that the ignition switch was bad and they replaced it after checking with the owner of the dealership. I purchased the truck and the tires looked different, so I figured they were replaced. They were not new but looked better. After 2 or 3 three weeks called and said the truck had a flat. I went to change it but there were no tools for the jack or to get the spare tire from under the truck. We left the truck at my wife's work with a plan for her to call for a tow truck to change the tire. The tow truck ended up just putting air in the tire and my wife made it home. I took the tire to get fixed and the tire shop told me the tire was made in 2004 and that it is separating and there was nothing they could do but replace it. I bought 2 tires and checked the dates on the other tires and they were manufactured in 2011, the truck is a 2012. After paying $20,000 for a truck I then had to buy tires for it. When my wife called the dealership to ask if they were going to pay for half the the tires she was told they had to check with the owner. It has been around 4 weeks and we are still waiting for a call. BUYERS BEWARE, ALL TIRES HAVE A MANUFACTURE DATE AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THEN SIX YEARS OLD. THE DATE IS ONLY ON ONE SIDE OF THE TIRE. IF YOU CAN NOT SEE IT THEY TURNED IT TO THE INSIDE OF THE CAR SO YOU CANNOT SEE IT. read more

I had been emailing questions to him for days, explaining that we lived two hours away and I did not want to waste all the time and gas if it wasn't in decent shape. The van looked good inside and out. We took it for a test drive and started making a list of the scary things we were hearing and feeling. We then took it to a mechanic. The van would not have even made it back to our house. No fluids in it, differential completely dry, cracked hoses, big oil leak, fan motor shot, needed a new rear end, shocks, and on and on.
