Had value covers gaskets replaced was quoted one price but when going to pay price went up like 75$ after I asked for veterans discount which would of taken 100$....was told quoted price does not stay stored in the computer ok sure....then had to bring truck back because oil was still leaking they had to redo one of the gaskets had the truck again for several hrs after me and my brother a retired mechanic some things were not put back correctly or hooked up also mechanic was smoking why working underneath the truck and garage work area was very messy and disorganized.... gasket on one side still seems to be leaking..... read more

We have a 1990 Ford Econoline chassis RV rig, on. 2 week road trip and had some concerns about our engine sounds. Called at least 10 places that turned us away for various reasons and finally got ahold of Chris (& Alan) at Pass Auto. Not only were they willing to help and take a look at the rig but Chris was above and beyond with giving us information, letting us know what our options are and what we could do now and what we can tell our usual tech, once we got home. John, the owner, is most awesome. He is honest, fair and motivated to please customers. I trusted him to work with my 18 year old daughter on her diesel horse truck...and he "did right by her". Plus, his team were amazing. I wish I could name all the men who dove in to help with our damaged horse trailer and bumper...they were so honest...told me that there was NO NEED to replace the bumper for safety....replace if it was cosmetic...I didn't care about cosmetics. I SOOOO appreciated the honesty and their filling in holes and tweaking the truck pull down ramp so it operated....just cause. I experienced a company with employee's who were proud and happy to serve the customer...no owner present. And I experienced an involved owner when I called 2 weeks later to schedule service. Took my 24year old (new to me) LAZY DAZE RV into the shop for a checkup before the long long travels across country ahead of me. There were a few receipts of previous work done but I wanted a complete exam. John and Alan listened to my concerns and recommended routine servicing along with the exam. They found some things that had been "shortcutted" in previous repairs and replaced worn and wearing parts. I have come away with confidence I will enjoy my adventures worry free. First class customer service! I was in the area only by chance as I had driven up to 29 palms from San Diego to purchase and drive home a 1966 ford f100 vintage truck. Unfortunately, I became stranded on the freeway late in the evening while trying to drive back. Called AAA and 50 minutes later they actually towed the truck to different auto mechanic that told me the following morning they would not be able to make time for me and suggested having AAA come back out to tow the truck to Pass Auto. Although extremely nerve racking I did so. Once I explained to Russ at Pass Auto my ordeal he welcomed me in and helped immediately to mitigate the issues with the truck. He and his son did the very best that they could under the circumstances, gave me great advice about owning a vintage truck and then offered to transport my truck back to San Diego for me. Last Thursday 4/12/18 my old Jeep Grand Cherokee broke down off the I10. I called for a tow truck and the driver recommended Pass Auto Center. I was stranded and from out of town and I was impressed that they began diagnosing it right away. The mechanic Keith was very knowledgeable and very thorough. He checked everything including the wire harness for possible shorts or opens. He made some repairs and advised some for me to make. My car broke down, over heated, just across the street from Pass Auto after traveling from Las Vegas. I was able to get my car across the street. Pass Auto was very nice to look at my car without an appointment. They ran several test on my car to correct the actual problem, then ran more test for safety reasons and to see if other issues would appear. I appreciate their concern for my safety and to make the correct fix to my car without over charging - making unnecessary fixes. read more

Amazing customer service! Bob is fantastic! My car started to over heat on my way back to San Diego so I stopped in here and they very quickly diagnosed the problem. Although they did not have the right tools to fix the problem Bob still hooked me up. He called a tow truck (which was there in less than 5 minuets) to take it to the nearest shop that could fix it. He also gave me a ride to pick up a rental car and made sure I got their discount. I wish that there were more places like around! Thanks guys! read more

Great customer service! In late June, on a Friday, my motorhome broke down on my way back home from a trip to Lake Havasu and it was towed to Pass Auto. I knew that I had broke a serpentine belt, but I also found out my A/C compressor froze! I was going to stay and wait for it to be fixed while my family went home in our other vehicle. I knew it was going to be a long wait, but John, the owner, sat and talked with me for at least an hour. After that Mike also sat and talked with me. It was the most enjoyable time I have ever had in an auto shop's waiting room. After the parts company sent several incorrect A/C units it was determined that the repair wouldn't get done that day. But, John set me up with a car from Enterprise at a reduced rate. Since it is a motorhome, you don't always get stock parts, so the compressor needed to be specially ordered. It took a few more days then probably everybody was hoping for, but Bob kept me apprised of the situation the whole time about when the part was supposed to arrive and the repair would be finished. When I went to pick it up, it was nice to be greeted with such friendliness. Plus, the price that they quoted me originally was almost spot on to the actual cost and I thought that the price was very fair too. Being from out of town you are always worried about being taken advantage of, but they definitely did not do that. I would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

This review is for their Uhaul service. My boyfriend and I went to four Uhaul places before we came here because they didn't have what we needed for whatever reason. By the time we got here my boyfriend was mad and irritated. The 5 stars is all because of John. When we first came in, he was very welcoming. He was able to put my boyfriend at ease by talking and relating to his occupation. John also gave us some additional mileage in case we had to make a stop on our way to our new place. I can't believe these guys are still in business, let alone receiving good reviews! Now, understand that my "service" there was three years ago, but, if you read on, you will understand why I am now writing. I was over-a-barrel, about to leave on a long trip and the RV place I was at suggested Pass Auto to check some fluid they'd noticed that might be radiator fluid. The guys there told me my radiator needed to be replaced and did so for $800!!! (What did I know...) On the trip back I noticed a noise. It turned out to be a "shroud", that was almost certainly, according to the guy who replaced it, due to something that happened during the radiator installation. BUT, that aside, and even if it wasn't... Now, only THREE YEARS LATER, I just had to get a NEW RADIATOR, and it was replaced with a better quality one for $500! I had a bad feeling about the place from the moment my shroud cost me money and time. Now I would NEVER return there, and thought other people should consider very carefully the quality of their work and the honesty of their assessments. read more

We found Pass Auto by chance and were happy with the experience. Within 90 minutes, we were back on the road with a full working A/C unit. The first time I tried the Pass Auto Center was about two years when I had my car smogged. I had a good feeling about the place, so I decided to take my car back when I needed auto repairs. I have never had to take my car back for faulty repairs, no new problems have suddenly evolved after service or repairs, and their parts and labor are reasonably priced.They have even done a few favors for me, such as checking out my car for a potential problem and not charging me for their time and service.The service and integrity of the employees at the Auto Pass Center speaks for itself. I am a faithful customers and my husband I plan to take all our cars there for all our auto service and repairs. read more

These guys are dirt bags. They rebuilt my transmission and the parts that they used failed after one year- barely outside the warranty -BARELY! Then they charged me $149.00 Just to confirm that it was in fact the transmission and of course another $149.00 to close everything back up so my parts weren't exposed since they no longer fix transmissions and I wasn't ready to drop $2000.00 on a used one with another joke of a warranty. (And after all that, they still could not tell me exactly what was wrong with my transmission). Then when I get my vehicle back I notice that the mechanics failed to put my exhaust back together properly and so now when I start it - it's EXTREMELY LOUD. I called them to inform them of their sloppy work and of course they ignored my call even after leaving polite message. So I called them back at my next convenience and Alen said he would talk to whoever (probably the owner John) and call me back - which he never did- which I could tell in the sound of Alen's voice that he wouldn't. Their shop is a circus - their mechanics are less than sub par and their level of service is GARBAGE!!! They only get a star because no stars isn't an option. I RECOMMEND THEM TO NO ONE!!! Save yourself the trouble - DON'T COME HERE!!! - unless you want to see John, Bob and Alen circle jerk themselves while they try to reel you in! Oh and do they take credit cards? Hell yea! They'll take your momma's teeth if they have gold in them! read more
