Woke up to a truck that would not start and called around to 3 local auto repair shops. My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to Yucaipa Auto Electric for about 5 years now. We've always found they take excellent care of our vehicles for a fair price and with friendliness. They also never try to upsell you with items you don't really need just so they can make a profit. We needed to have some electrical work done to our Ford pick-up this week, which of course they completed quickly. But what really impressed us was their response to our COVID19 concerns. We're both over 70 and have a few health issues so we're very cautious about public contact. When I phoned to ask if they wear masks in the office, I believe it was Sterling who said no but he gladly suggested moving our appointment to a time when no other customers would be in the office and he'd wear a mask for us. Pretty darn accommodating, right? But then he called back and said how about we do a no-contact appointment? Just leave the key in the truck when you drop it off. When it was complete, he called to get our payment info and then left the truck in the parking lot with the key on the seat. EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was driving out the 10 freeway to Joshua Tree with plans to go photograph Comet Neowise. All running fine until heading up the hill towards Yucaipa, when I had a sudden check engine light and my engine temp flew over to hot. I pulled off at the first exit and AAA handled the rest. (AAA selected and towed my '03 2500 Dodge Ram long-bed, 4-door pickup with ease.) Yucaipa accepted my towed vehicle as I couldn't ride with the tow truck driver having passengers, a dog, and due to COVID-19 pandemic. The gentleman on the call processed my vehicle right over the phone with the most courteous customer service personality. So polite, reassuring, and really put me at ease leaving my truck in an unfamiliar community. I felt my truck was in a safe place. I really was impressed that they sent me a text with all the contact information to my cell phone while I was on the call, just to confirm all the contact numbers were in place. Thank you! This is huge bonus as I am dyslexic and often transpose the order of numbers. I loved too that I could simply text with questions, they were quick to respond too. (How techie is that? I love it!) The very next morning, I was provided a reassuring call that they had already diagnosed my truck. (I didn't have to call like most service centers), they had the cost already figured out, included a AAA discount without being asked. I really felt the company was looking out for my best interests. Best of all, picked up my truck today and it is running great, keeping a good temperature again. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be a regular customer for regular maintenance. Wow..... I had to read some of the reviews to make sure I was at the right place. AAA towed my son's car that wouldn't start from school. A cam sensor and this other sensor was recommended to replace. Total bill 548.00$ which includes parts, labor and diagnostics. The part at auto zone is 25-33$ each. This place wanted 117$ each. Long story short, got the car towed from there to "My Garage" in Redlands. Total bill there 120$. I understand that everyone need to make a living, I get it but Damnnnnnnnn !!! They still got me for 100 bucks for the diagnostic. FYI ,don't always go with the AAA recommended repair shops. read more

My truck broke down on the way to AZ. I thought for sure it was my fuel pump. I called AAA to tow my truck and asked who they recommended in the area to fix my truck. They highly recommended Yucaipa Auto Electric. I was shocked at the cleanliness of the shop. But I was more pleased when they told me that it was a loose wire that caused my truck to stall. They could have easily charged me for a new fuel pump. I appreciated that they were honest and not just trying to get the most money out of their customer.
